Description of Work: I needed gutters installed on my dwelling in Elgin. I called and made an appointment for the technician to inspect the job. They promised to agreed to time. No one showed up!! They didn't call or otherwise notify me that they were not coming. I tried to call them on the phone to determine if/when they wanted to re-schedule. I left a message on their answering machine. That was a week ago. No one has contacted me. Extremely "UN" Professional!

Description of Work: I had a new roof and gutters installed earlier this year by another company. The company that originally did the gutters came out to fix a problem and told me I needed additional downspouts but didn't want to do the work because they normally did not work in my area and had done the job as a favor to the roofer! I went to Angie's list and decided on Elgin Gutters. Naomi came out right away and gave me a couple good solutions for my problem. I was supposed to get a written estimate that day but had to call a couple days later and request it. They did not show on the day they were scheduled and after several attempts to call I finally sent an email. She responded saying she had tried to return my calls but the calls would not go thru. The reason for not showing was one of their vehicles had been in the shop for several days. I should have been notified immediately that they would not make it as scheduled! They finally came several days later and the guys worked quickly and did a good job. However, I would not use them again strictly because of the poor communication.

+ -1 moreI wanted to try to keep my contractual expenses local and found this company that provided the work I needed. They quickly responded to my home and worked up a detailed and fair estimate. My home has multiple roof angles and required special attention to water drain-off paths. Eventually, I called this company and confirmed the decision to proceed with the project. They were flexible with their schedule and a work day was set. The crew was fast, efficient and respectful of our property. Everything was accomplished on time and with exceptional quality of work. Due to the massive leaves encountered each year on our property, we agreed to purchase gutter screens that were ordered and installed a few weeks later. I would highly recommend this small company for any seemless gutter job you may have. Their price is fair and the work they provide is excellent.

There was one misunderstanding regarding placement of downspouts, so they had to come out and relocate one of the downspouts. That took a little longer, but they came through and did a great job of making things right.

Not only did he do a great job, but it was timely and he goes out of the way make sure I was pleased. He is the owner of the company, and also the head installer so he takes a lot of pride in delivering quality work. I would highly recommend and would definitely hire him again without hesitation.

+ -1 moreMr Fowler did an excellent job and worked with me to get the job done as soon as the roof was repaired. I upgrade to 6 inch gutters and he did an excellent job of completeing the work for me. Even with the upgraded gutters, his cost was still below the insurance company estimate.

+ -1 moreIsaiah came out the week before to provide me a bid for new gutters. While we discussed the new gutters, he came up with innovative ideas that expanded on what I had originally wanted. He not only came in with a super great bid for the gutters, but also offered his services to put in the french drain with river rock. We ended up adding a rain barrel as well. The following week, Isaiah came out - installed the gutters, mesh covers, the rain barrel, french drain and rocks. He went above and beyond with extra details (painting under the gutter, touching up the rain barrel) and was quick, friendly, and did a fabulous job. Definitely would hire him again! Great job!!

Isaiah was great at communication and completed the job on the date we discussed. He even cleaned all of the pine needles off of the roof while he was up there.

My father is a retired building inspector and he dealt with contractors’ everyday of his working life. He was the one who was actually home when Isaiah came to do the work. He couldn’t believe that in this age there were contractors out there that had work ethics of 25 years ago. Every time he walks by the garage he talks about Isaiah. I had him to give me another estimate.

+ -1 moreI personally never have had the opportunity to meet Isaiah, and have only talked to him on the phone. I found him very responsive and professional. That being said my father was the person on sight when Isaiah came out both for the estimate and the replacement. (My father is a retired building inspector that has been dealing with contractors every day for over 40 years!) Dad found that the work and professionalism were both outstanding! His quote to me was "it's really nice to see a young man who takes pride in his work" We both give a "thumbs up" and would gladly have Isaiah back in the future!
