Services we offer

We offer a full service furniture refinishing service. We specialize in antique restoration, but we will do just about anything. Additional Services we offer include: Chair Caning, Re-Rushing chairs, Picture Framing, Antique Clock restoration, Repairing Reglueing, Gun Stock refinishing, Victrola restoration, and If it deals with Antiques we probably do it or have some one to do it.

Services we don't offer

We do not do upholstery work, but work with local Upholsterers to get the job done.

Description of Work: Antique choir chair. They reglued the chair and replaced a broken antique bronze colored round head screw with a silver screw. The gluing was fine, but the screw immediately caught my eye as no attempt had been made to make it match, and no excuse was given for using an obvious mismatched screw. Needless to say I won't be using this business to repair or refinish anymore of my furniture.

Response from ELGIN FURNITURE REFINISHERS
I went back and pulled the ticket on the chair. All we were asked to do was reglue the chair and tighten the hip rests on the side of the seat where the "screw" was. We probably replaced one of the screws, but since we were not asked to do any color work on the chair we probably did not worry about the screw. If the customer wishes to have the screw colored we can do that.
