I had a maintenance plan with the company. My unit was service in April of this year with problems found. On June 26, my conditioner stop working. I contacted them that day and they someone would come out tomorrow. I took off and waited when that showed up the next day 8:30pm. I was told what was wrong and next day they would have the part. My account is listed one number that I have all contact with the company. I called from work number to confirm the part. I was called that someone would be over after 4pm. I called the company on my cell phone which is the listed number on my account at 5:49pm. They were let me know when would be there. He supposedly came at 5:56pm. I was not called because he called my office number which no one answer instead of the number listed. I switched to another company which gave me an appointment time.

Not good! The technician even told me that that most of their business is from quotes because their cost is too high for people to actually pay them to get to work done!

Called thru Costco program. Total Air called back within the hour. Scheduled appt. and Albert was able to come out and take a look at my existing setup the next day. He was able to give me a proposal for all of the work while onsite. Albert was very knowledgeable and I believe he would have done a great job had I gone with his proposal. In the end, just decided to use a different provider for all of the work. I wouldn't have any issue using Albert in the future should the need arise.

Total Air did an excellent job. Other companies in this area said they would only be able to fix certain portions, but they wouldn't be able to fix everything. Total Air fixed everything! My whole system was brought up to code, and it passed inspection. I appreciate everything Total Air did to fix the horrible install from the people who initially installed my refrigerated air. I will definitely use them again, and I have recommended them to everyone who asks.

We make it a practice of commenting on contractors or services we experience that merit special praise. Total Air Services out of El Paso is one such contractor where the entire organization deserves such praise, from its owner Brandon Brooks to its personable and very helpful front office staff and field representative to the crews that actually did the work for us. We'd decided to add refrigerated air and a new electric furnace to our home to replace two evaporative coolers and a 27 year old Coleman furnace. We asked around, did some research, and read reviews on Angie's List. We eventually met with a representative from Total Air Services and received a proposal. After further discussions about equipment options and prices at their office, we were scheduled for the work to proceed. And did it! Three vans showed up promptly in the morning during the first week in May, 2015 with at least half a dozen technicians/installers and by 5:00 that afternoon, the system was up and running. As we face this first week in August where the temperatures are to be in the triple digits, we know we will be totally comfortable inside our house. As a footnote, we had originally chosen to leave the swamp coolers on the roof should we want to use them for perhaps more economical early or late season cooling where temps are much less severe. We decided a week ago that made little sense and I asked Brandon Brooks if he could have the coolers removed. Without hesitation, he scheduled the work for the following week and that crew removed the coolers yesterday with efficiency and professional competence. It's a pleasure to highly recomment Total Air for HVAC services.

Very satisfied with my purchase. Everyone involved with the installation was professional. Most importantly they met the installation completion date as scheduled. Haven't had any problems with the equipment. Looking forward to the summer so I can use the A/C. I will definitely recommend to any one.

I started with 8 potential companies. I got estimates from 3. I chose Total Air to do 2 conversions from swamp to refrigerated air and 1 new construction refrigerated AC installation. The contact person was fantastic, personable and due to traffic was running a tad late for his estimate, and called to let me know. The crews were equally amazing, and professional. In one of the conversion houses, we installed a water softner system and that company was in awe of the work that was completed. Although Total Air was the highest of the 3 estimates, the perks they offered over the other 2 lower priced estimates was worth it. They use a crane to remove the existing ACs and place the new units and I liked that safety factor. They even brought the 2 used Mastercools out to the new shop for use for another project. If I had any complaints, it would be that they are so busy that it took a couple weeks to start the project because they are so busy, but that is also a sign of good work, so we were OK with that. Would absolutely use them again.

I didn't think there were companies around like this any longer! Somehow, the two men who answered our call inspired my confidence when they walked in the door. They listened to our complaint (there didn't seem adequate cooling ? it was a very hot season). They moved outside to the compressor, checked Freon supply and compression, both adequate. Came inside and checked flow from cold air supply to house (normal), inspected the thermostat (properly set) and put it down to unusually hot weather (I am more sensitive to variations in temperature than my wife is), to which we both agreed. No problem found, but we were reassured that we weren't being sold anything unnecessary. Would I request this service again? Without doubt. Would I recommend this service to friends? Absolutely. The technician, Joe Barragan, was fabulous. He found the problem and immediately resolved the matter. He is absolutely one of the most service oriented and knowledgeable technicians that I have ever met. A treasure for Total Air..

They were very courteous, prompt, &. professional.They did excellent work . Arrived on time and finished fast. Cleaned up very well after work was done & disposed of old air conditioner unit & all materials used . Will definitely use again & refer to family & friends. Thanks for the referral .

They worked hard, fast and, proficient and were done in one day with the AC conversion. At my request They returned the next day to replace some old duct in the attic with new energy efficient ducting. All my calls were returned promptly and questions were answered professionally at a layman's level.

The temperature has been over 100 degrees for about a week now. It is Sunday afternoon and I notice that the AC is not cooling the house below 85 degrees. I call Total Air about 6:30 pm hoping they can diagnose any problems and return on Monday early with any needed parts. I have two dogs and would hate to leave them in the sweltering house for more days than needed. I am fully prepared to pay the after hour/emergency rates. I get a call back from Brandon, the owner, within 15 minutes of leaving a message. I explain my situation and within minutes Brandon diagnoses the problem by asking some simple questions and guiding on where to check the unit. Apparently having to cool in these high temperatures with a dirty (very dirty) filter causes some of the piping to freeze, thereby not allowing the unit to cool. Problem solved by tuning off the Cool feature on the unit and using the Fan feature to melt the ice, and of course by cleaning the filter. Brandon spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me and even answered question on the best types of replacement filters. The whole time being courteous and patient.

They were fantastic and great company.

Everything went as scheduled from the first visit to the installation. No issues and everyone did what was promised at the time agreeded on. The a/c was installed in May and worked fine all summer. Once the cold weather started we finally tested the heater and it did not start up. I called late on Friday evening and got an answer right away and within an hour the technician was at my house and fixed the heater. Great service!

Joe was extremely efficient, he was very knowledgeable about the HVAC system I have, and he kept in contact with me while waiting for Trane part to come in. I will definitely continue to use Total Air services.

Responded quickly and identified problem right away. I told him when he got there that i thought it was the fan motor gone bad and it was. He went to get the part and returned later in the morning to install new motor. I left the house to move a couch from another house to mine. He told me it wouldn't take long to install, about 30 minutes. I had communicated with him via cell phone earlier in the day, so the guy had my number. When the guy finished the job he did not call me to come back to the house and sat there for an additional hour or more, waiting for me to return. I was only 10 minutes away and could have returned immediately had he called when he finished. He ended up billing me for the time he was sitting there waiting. What an a**.

The service was excellent, and was able to finish the work on time at a very reasonable price. I have recommended Total Air Services to others and will continue to use them in the future.

I arrived from work to find my sick husband in a 90 degree house and the AC was not working. The next morning I contacted Total Air and explained the situation and my concern about my husband. Although they were already booked for the day I was told that someone would come although likely after-hours. I was pleased when around 2:30 pm Joe called to let me know he could come earlier and we arranged to meet at 3:00 pm at the house. Joe arrived punctually, inquired about the problem and proceeded to thoroughly check the equipment inside the house, Although the fan was blowing the air was not being cooled He then asked to see the circuit breaker box in case the recent storms may have caused the switch to go off. We did find that the AC circuit breaker was loose and we thought we had found the problem. I was very glad that Joe did not stop there, he proceeded to test the AC and found that as the AC was turned on it was tripping the circuit breaker. He climbed on the roof, where the main unit sits and found the problem was a broken condensation motor that by not working was overheating the HVAC causing it to blow the circuit. I was most grateful to Joe at this point for it was already past 4:00 pm and he would have to go clear across town at rush hour to pick up the condensation motor. Without hesitation he left to get the part and about an hour later to install it. My husband, puppy and I did not have to sleep in a the sweltering heat an additional night. Thank you Joe and Total Air!

Soonest appointment was almost a week away because they were busy. They arrived on time, listened to what I eliminated through my troubleshooting method and they were able to identify my problem within 1-2 minutes.

Brandon was absolutely excellent. I did not feel pressured to buy the biggest and the most expensive one. He has great customer service and a wonderful response time. I have been so happy with them that I have been referring them to everyone!

By 1:15 when they still hadn't showed I called to get an approximate time of arrival and was told the service tech had come to my house, knocked on the door several times and sat outside, which is impossible because I worked in my office while waiting which faces the front of the house and I was watching for them. I asked why the service tech didn't call me as promised and no one had an answer. So I wasted my time and have to call a different company and do this all over again. I'm just hoping the next one bothers to show up or at least call me, or at least bother apologizing for their poor service and lack of professionalism instead of insisting the tech was at my house when he very obviously was NOT. I would not recommend this company to anyone. *****UPDATE**** This company's malicious response to my valid complaint is in character with how I was treated when I called to ask what time the tech would be arriving. Their response states I made false accusations and was verbally abusive to someone's wife and they're glad they didn't perform work for me and glad I'm their competitors' problem now. I wasn't upset when I called to ask what time the tech would arrive, there was still 45 minutes to spare. I became upset when the person on the phone insisted someone had been at my house and left, but in no way was I verbally abusive to anyone and to say that on top of everything else exemplifies their total lack of professionalism. I hung up because the person on the phone only wanted to argue that someone had been at my house already and left, when I kept telling her I had been watching for someone the whole previous hour and 15 minutes. And yes, my doorbell IS broken. I made that very clear when I made the appointment, which is why I was promised someone would call when they were on their way. Every professional business I've ever dealt with calls before they come, especially if they try the doorbell and no one comes to the door. Even still, I can clearly see anyone walking to my door with peripheral vision even while typing at the computer. I can easily hear someone knock on my door. I did find a Total Air card stuck in the outer door of my courtyard later in the day, but no one came through the gate to the front door. All of this irrelevant however, because I was promised someone would call me and they didn't. Also, I didn't hang up on anyone when they called to see about sending someone later. That message was left on my voicemail. And as far as me wasting Total Air's time and being a burden to other customers, if they're going to insist they were indeed at my house, I think it's ridiculous to sit in someone's driveway for 30 minutes wasting both of our time without bothering to pick up the phone and call me, then to blame me for it when I call to find out where they are.

From estimate to system walk through, my experience with Total Air was a pleasant one. Work began on time and was finished in one day. Crew members were professional and friendly and all of my questions were answered quickly and to my satisfaction.

We had two very different experiences. The first involved the cleaning out our clothes dryer's clogged ventilation pipe that vents out on the roof. They responded immediately and took care of that potentially serious problem at a reasonable cost. I was impressed! We called a second time because the automatic starter on our gas fireplace wouldn't function (during some of the coldest days, of course). There was considerable delay in the response; the first diagnosis turned out to be incorrect. A part had to be ordered, and they "forgot;" an employee came to replace the part; afterwards it still wouldn't start. He came back - it would require another part! Anyway, it's finally working after several frustrating weeks. It was expensive for what seemed to be a relatively minor item. Because the first experience was so satisfying, I will probably use them again and see how it goes.
