The Growing Concern

How did it go? people never showed up to inspect tree. called several times and last time I spoke to Veronica she said manager would go over in the afternoon and inspect which he or she never did, nor did they make an effort to contact me that they were not going to. Totally unprofessional and after being a customer for over 2 years and numerous customer recommendations this is the way one is treated. No customer service here. FYI: you don't deep root feed native desert plants! just for your info. I waited 3 days before I, posted this to see if they would act or maybe an apology, for their lack of service but no effort was to be made. This low review is well earned for a company that has no customer service.

They did a good job. When I contacted them they called me back in probably within 24 hours or something like that.

Did not hear from them. When I called, was told they were not doing grub control for another week. Evidently, they were not going to let me know they weren't coming.

Great customer service by letting me know immediately they would not be able to help me at the time I needed. Saved me a lot of time and frustration for both should they tried to keep my business knowing they would be stretched.

In January I requested through Angies list on January 3 to get an estimate for the whole yard, but I didn't receive a detailed list. I had to wait till February to actually receive any services, after I changed to just a large tree, palm and cactus. They came out, and the pruners did a very good job, but I wanted the cactus cut smaller. The owner came out and was distraught with me for asking for them to make it smaller and argued that it was very hard to work with me, since I was asking a detail list of what they would do in their estimate. The owner said he will send someone the next day to fix the cactus, but would appreciate me paying the full bill. I did pay the bill, but he refused to give me an estimate. I think the crew are hard working and very professional, but the owner needs better customer service. Also, if somebody needs to have any work done, they won't get to it till about 4 weeks or so. As I said in this review, I started this whole process in the first week of January, and I never received any service till 2/11/16.

They were prompt, professional, and courteous. They are trained horticulturists, and know how to properly trim/thin different types of trees. They are not the cheapest service, but do provide a level of expertise that is lacking in most tree trimming services. I would definitely use them again.

I have The Growing Concern out to my home several times per year. They help keep all my large trees looking beautiful. They trim, deep feed, and address any concerns I might have. They also treat and fertilize my grass. They are always professional, polite, and trustworthy. They do a fantastic job trimming trees, making sure to trim during the right season and never cutting too much or too little. They keep trees looking very natural. I wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of my yard.

They do good work. They come when they say they will.

I have used this company for several years. I am on a yearly lawn/yard plan. They come every month to do some kind of yard maintenance service from fertilizing the lawn, treating for grubs, to deep root feeding of my trees and shrubs. I always receive a call from Veronica the day before to remind me they are coming and to tell me if there is anything special I need to do. I have also used Growing Concern for tree pruning. My trees were badly overgrown and Joel explained that it would be best for the health of the trees if the pruning took place in stages. He was right. It took more than one season to bring them back to their potential, but now my trees look beautiful. I will continue to use The Growing Concern.

We started using The Growing Concern shortly after the installation of new landscaping. Wonderful customer service, excellent products that perform very well and a knowledge base that is extensive. Highly recommend this company. Remember you get what you pay for and Quality is what these folks provide.

Overall I would use this provider again, did a good job and recently received notice from them with regard to scheduling future applications.

No problems at all. The tech in charge of the work was knowledgeable and friendly. The work was done as described and the yard completely cleaned up afterward.

Discussed spraying evergreens due to spider mite infestation. Was told one good treatment should get me through the rest of Summer. Made the deal but within two weeks spider mites were back in full force. The company sent someone to spray once more after I called and explained that spider mites were still in trees. The technician came out and did a "quick" spray down but again within 1.5 weeks the spider mites were back in business. I called the company again and explained. The nice lady indicated this situation was going on all over El Paso regarding the mites and would schedule a technician to come again but additional payment would be required. I expressed understanding but declined to schedule another spray. These spider mites are atrocious.

Wonderful service! Showed up on time, cleaned up and charged a fair price.

Working with The Growing Concern has been an excellent experience. They are professional, punctual, and our yard has never looked better. In years past, we always had a weed problem in the spring, but not this year! We are extremely pleased with the way everything in our yard looks, and we know it's because of The Growing Concern.

Promptly arrived at the appointed time. Made sure my dogs were taken care of. Confirmed with me what they were about to do. Took out the trees, ground down the stumps, and did a great (!) job cleaning up the mess and more. The guys went above and beyond my expectations. I have been a customer of Growing Concern for over 15 yrs. Joel and his crew always make sure I am happy with their work. They also do all my monthly services. I couldn't be more pleased with this company.

They came out and gave me an estimate and showed me what they would do. A few weeks later they came and did what they said, yard looks great, trees look nice

Was able to do all of this via phone. They came and determined the problem when I was not there, and called me with the estimate and performed the service when I was not home. A great help to me. I will have a follow up treatment in the same way.

All went went well, the person spraying was coiurteous and seemed to do a thorough job

I originally contacted a national service through their 800 number. 10 days later I still had not heard from them. I suspected I had a lawn fungus and did not want to wait so I contacted The Growing Concern. They showed up for the initial assessment when they said. I was very comfortable with their technical knowledge. I received a quote later that day and signed up for ongoing monthly service for my trees and lawn. Since then they showed up ON TIME for all appointments. Their price is about the same as the other guys, but their service is superior.

They arrived on time and worked most of the day. They were very professional, and did everything they said they would.

All work was finished and the area was swept and cleaned up in the time estimated. All the branches were chopped on site. ( I grabbed a few pine cones for the kids before they were all chopped up for mulch.) The workers were considerate and all spoke English so there were no communication problems.

We received a quote very promptly, the service was scheduled at a very convenient time and they arrived at the appointed time.

The freeze had killed one tree and severely damaged another in our front yard. I was uncertain about the two in the back yard. The owner of The Growing Concern came himself to examine them and listened carefully to my concerns. He provided sensible recommendations, and his crew came out quickly to take down the two trees in front and to trim some overgrown bushes. . They did a good job cleaning up. He also recommended fertilizing the two in back so as to wait to see how they came out before planning any trimming. I was definitely impressed and would recommend this business very highly.

Growing Concern crews include trained arborists so trees are pruned to allow "good growth". The business is in high demand, so I scheduled the first possible appointment (approximately 4 weeks away). The office contacted me when they had a concellation and the work was done accordingly. The crew cleaned up the front yard, hauling all tree limbs/leaves. I will definitely be using Growing Concern again.
