Taft Company Windows, with a Touch of Glass

During March of 2016 I purchased multiple windows from Ruben Rivera at TAFCO windows (apparently formerly known as TAFT). The contract included installation and a warranty. This complaint is in reference to three front windows with an invoice date of 16 March 2016. Shortly after installation, one of the windows (hereinafter described as the "right window") was found to be defective. Mr. Rivera replaced the glass with non-matching glass. He then replaced the glass a second time. In the process of replacing the glass, he damaged the frame. The appearance of the window and glass are not consistent with a new purchase. Mr. Rivera has not remedied the damage he did to right window. During November/December 2019, I informed Mr. Rivera another one of these windows was defective. (Three windows were purchased for installation into one opening.) The second defective window (hereinafter described as the "left window") began falling apart. I sent Mr. Rivera multiple pictures of this window. Over the past 4-6 months, I regularly inquired about this window. Mr. Rivera has either ignored my requests or simply replied that the glass has been ordered. To date, two of the three windows are damaged or defective. Mr. Rivera has not honored the warranty he included with the sale of the windows and he damaged the other window. Mr. Rivera also installed a slider and two side windows. The slider was either defective or improperly installed (or both), and 4 years later, I still have issues with the slider. To make matters worse, Mr. Rivera explained that after 4 years he believed the problem was the design (which he measured for, recommended, and installed). He volunteered to remove the two side windows and reimburse me for the cost. After removing the side windows, he never reimbursed me. I basically paid him hundreds of dollars for a product he should not have sold, couldn't properly install, and/or couldn't repair. It should be known that I paid Ruben Rivera/TAFCO Windows approximately $20,000 for Quaker Manchester Series windows. Despite on-time payment in full, I received this kind of service. "F"
