Not good, another company had to be called to fix the refrigerator door.
Description of Work: Provider did not fix refrigerator door. Refrigerator was under manufacturer's warranty and SoBellas had no urgency in helping me. The technicians that were sent out on multiple occasions were very inept and inpatient.

I'm very sorry for your bad experience with us. Unfortunately we do not have any control over your warranty company. We have to work within the scope and rules of the person paying us, Samsung. They did not have the parts available until March witch was over 30 days. We have no way to get parts if they are not available from the manufacture and your appliance is still under warranty. We could have had the parts next day if we could use our other suppliers. Because your appliance is still under warranty, we must order from Samsung direct. Also Lowes involvement should have been to replace your refrigerator once we informed them of the delay in parts. Once the parts arrived, you would not answer the phone to allow us to complete the repair. The other company that came out used our parts that we ordered to repair your appliance. If you had called them first they would have had the same problems. Again we are very sorry for any inconvenience. This matter will be mentioned at our next meeting to see what could have been done differently.

It worked out pretty well and they were fine. I think that was $49 that I paid for and they said that if they will be doing more I will have to pay more. But he said that the amount of money that I will pay was for the service call and I don't understand that. However, I was fine because they helped me with my freezer.
Description of Work: SoBellas Appliance repaired my freezer and refrigerator. The problem was the freezer was not keeping things cold and he did something to make it freeze again so he charged me for a service call.

Sobellas came and analyzed the problem. They ordered the ice maker. Sobellas replaced the icemaker and pushed the test button. Ice produced one time. Paid Sobellas $300. Called Sobellas 5 hours later to complain the ice was produced one time. Sobellas came and called Samsung engineering support, and said the pc board needed to be replaced. Sobellas took back the new ice maker. The PC board (which includes the computer and relays) was ordered. Sobellas gave me the credit for the ice maker and invoiced me for $64, or a total of $364 for the pc board repair and parts. Professional support by Sobellas dispatch, including timely callbacks with the tech, Rudy Martinez, who would call prior to arriving 1 hour before. Overall friendly and professional performance. I will recommend them for other work or to other people.

company, they promptly sent another repairman who replaced the light at no charge, so in the end I was satisfied. Just a little annoyed that the first repairman didn't tell me about the light.
Description of Work: The motor for the rotating glass platform inside our microwave oven was replaced. In the process, the repairman accidentally broke the light underneath the oven (which hangs over our stove), since access to the motor could only be had by removing the panel underneath. SoBellas was very proactive and responsive to the intial deal purchase. They contacted me Saturday morning and indicated they could make an appt. for that morning, or that afternoon to diagnose the issue. The technician called when he was on his way and showed up early for an afternoon appt. He quickly diagnosed the issue, but had to order a part. The standard interval for the part order was what was communicated by email (and didn't match what the technician indicated when he discussed the repair). I called SoBellas and was given updated information about the part arrival, and the technician made an appt. to return to change the part as soon as it arrived and the dryer was back fully operational within 4 days. They were friendly, professional, fast, and thorough.

The service tech arrived the following morning. As soon as he saw the washer he said it was incorrectly installed. The problem was corrected and we had time to do laundry before we our trip. The service call was covered by the warranty. We will use SoBellas again.
Description of Work: We had just purchased a Samsung washer and it was not working. And of course we were going to leave town in two days and had a lot of laundry to do.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out well. It was alright. The negative was that to repair these 2 things was quite expensive. The parts were very expensive so I decided not to repair them. They were very professional, they came out, and it was a good experience. They said they needed to replace the electronic control board for the oven and it was like $350. I know on the internet, I can pick up a part for about $100 and do it myself. The parts are so expensive. You have to buy them from the manufacturer. You could almost buy a new oven for that price. The refrigerator had an issue with the ice maker. Their professionalism was excellent.
Description of Work: SoBellas Appliance came out and diagnosed the refrigerator and gas stove, and gave me some estimates.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and I was not real happy with them. The guy who came out was very nice, professional and courteous, but he was not familiar with the Amana refrigerator. He told me I would need to contact my cabinetmaker out to disassemble part of the cabinet so we could pull the refrigerator out. I did this and when I called him back to come out it turned out he had done research on the refrigerator and I did not have to have the refrigerator pulled out. He was on the phone the whole time and called on of the Amana technicians to talk through the project. He ended up telling me I needed a new compressor and motor and it would cost around $2,000. I decided to get another opinion and the other company that came out told me I did not need a new motor or compressor. It turned out Freon was leaking and would require extensive work in another area. I am thinking about getting a third opinion. I don't think the guy from SoBellas knew what he was talking about because he diagnosed the wrong thing. The company was punctual and responsive, but they were wrong. I was called as a follow up and told them the problem. The girl I spoke with said she would have someone from management call me, but I never heard back.

Sorry for your trouble and the misunderstanding. The technician who came out has been in the industry for about 4 years now, so he is still fairly new and still learning and still makes mistakes. Based on the notes that I see, I stand behind his decision to replace the compressor. The cost quoted was only $898.01 not $2000. If you like we can resend your signed invoice with $898.01 quoted on it. This would also have a 5 year warranty on it. As for pulling the unit out, we really need the appliance to be fully accessible to us so we can do a complete diagnosis. Appliances should never have cabinets blocking removal, this can cause air flow issues and overheat components. Please feel free to call us to discuss this further if you would like. 210-978-0890

I got another company to look at my stove. No new parts were needed. The second technician simply adjusted the burner control and adjusted the oven temperature 20 degrees. Everything now works fine, the cost was about a third, Angie's is going to get money back for the first appliance co. and I'm ready to cook for Christmas.

The repairman, Paul, called when he was about 30 minutes away, which I appreciated very much. He came in and pulled the back panel off the refrigerator to look and ensure there was no damage. He then called Electrolux and they walked him through the diagnostics. He made a couple little adjustments and then the Electrolux guy told him everything checked out and the ice maker should work. He then told me the cost would be $125 minus the $39 Angie's List big deal price. Now if the only thing he did was run a diagnostic (and had to call the Electrolux hotline to do so) which was what I thought I paid for, then why did I have to pay an additional $86? I'm pretty sure I could have found someone to come out for cheaper than $125 to call Electrolux. I feel like I was mislead with this Big Deal!

The charges were not for calling into Electrolux but for the calibration done on your icemaker. If you paid nothing we would not have left your icemaker running and provided no warranty. Our dryer was taking longer and longer to dry the clothes. I purchased an Angie's Big Deal house call coupon for $39 Friday morning, and within 15 minutes I had received an email response from them. They were at my house by noon that day. John was professional and on-time. They needed to special order some parts, and he returned first thing Monday morning. Highly recommended!

The technician was very professional and punctual. He treated me and my wife like we were valued customers which was appreciated. The dispatch service was also helpful and professional. The reason I gave this company a "C" for pricing is due to the cost of the service. I was quoted $240.00 to repair the filter housing assembly which was the source of the water leak in the refrigerator. Upon receiving the quote I asked the technician what the breakdown of the price was and he stated that he didn't have access to that information. I then called the dispatch service and was put on hold while they crunched the numbers. I was then informed that I would be paying $165.00 for labor and about $75.00 for the part. This was a little unnerving because before I called the dispatch service I asked the technician how long it would take to complete the job once the part was available. He said that it wouldn't take any longer than 20 minutes to install. I brought this up to the dispatch because $165.00 is quite alot of money for a task that only takes 20 minutes. I was told that the price was based on the complexity of the job not the time it takes to complete. I ended up getting the work done because I was out of energy and needed the job complete. The technician came back with the part a couple days later and did an outstanding job fixing the fridge. It has worked flawlessly since that day and I appreciate his time and patience with me and my wife. I fully understand that service calls cost money. I also understand that the technician needs to get paid as well as the company. However, $165.00 for 20 minutes of work seems high to me. I would have been fine with $90-100 worth of labor fees but $165 was excessive in my opinion. If it wasn't for the price I would most definitely use this company again but I fear that if I have a moderately complex job that needs to be completed I would get charged several hundred dollars for labor. I want to be clear that this company was great to work with minus the PRICE. If you can afford to spend the extra money then you should disregard this review. The one and only problem I encountered with Sobellas was the cost of the labor. Other than that aspect they did everything they said they would do and were professional in doing so. I fully recommend this company to anyone who can afford it.

First I am very sorry we could not show you the true value in what you are paying for. Our staff repeats repairs so much it can seem very fast and easy to them. Our prices are set based on a national flat rate book that is adjusted for our region. Very similar to how an auto shop would charge you for a car repair. We don't charge based the time our tech was at your home, we charge based on the job itself. The technician we sent to your house was our most experienced and yes highest paid technician we have in El Paso. Now if we were to send one of our newer guys, I can assure you the new tech would have spent much longer if not hours to diagnose and repair your fridge. But as for the price it would have been the exact same for either tech. If we charged you by the hour it would benefit our company to send the lower paid new guy to get several hours out of you. I hope this clear things up a little, and you can give us a chance in the future. Remember your repair comes with a 1 year labor warranty and 5 year part warranty. SoBellas arrived promptly and punctual. The repairman performed a thorough check, disassembling parts of the washer. He could find no problems. The only part he did not check was the drum, which would have had to be removed and involved an expensive repair, and not worth the expense. He suggested we run vinegar and bleach through several wash cycles to clean any possible remaining dye. We did that and we have had no further problems. The repairman was very cooperative, professional, and helpful. I especially liked that he did not attempt to sell an unnecessary and expensive repair.
Description of Work: Our front-loading washer was intermittently leaving blue stains on our wash. We had ruled out staining from other laundry and suspected something in the washer was causing the problem. SoBellas Appliance performed a check on the washer.

Paul was very accommodating. Since I work, he was able to accommodate my schedule, called both times to let me know he was on the way, and was punctual (even early). I would definitely recommend this company and this technician.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The problem is that the water is so hard where I live that it is causing the residue to be left on my dishes. They said there is no dishwasher on the market that can get rid of that. They were very good and they told me to run vinegar through it regularly. They came out immediately. It kept happening so I called and they came out again the next day. They had a very good attitude and were not in a big hurry to get rid of me. They did their best. The price was great. Their advice was sound. They were very responsive and came right on time. They certainly seemed to know what they were talking about. I would definitely use them again.
