Ramirez Landscape & Maintenance

Have trouble in El Paso with contractors showing up when they say; not so with Mr. Ramirez. He is always on time and does what he says he will do. I have a large back yard surrounded by pine trees that drop a lot of litter during the hotter weeks. Having experience with this company in the past, asked Mr Ramirez for options to make yard maintenance easier for me after becoming severely disabled in the Army. Once we agreed to a plan, I decided to hire him. He sent over a crew to remove large landscaping rocks around my yard perimeter, remove a section of lawn (I wanted a smaller lawn for my dogs), installed plastic around cleared areas, laid a layer of smaller gravel (could have used more) that has proved to be MUCH easier to clear of pine needles. They also built a brick border around the new lawn area. The crew that did the work was always on time, very friendly and professional. Mr Ramirez showed up occasionally as expected to check on the work and answer questions.

All work was completed in approximately one and half days. They cleared and hauled away all the weeds. Re-leveled the front yard. Double layer of plastic ground covering and laid 3/8" landscaping rock on 1/3 of the front yard.

Daniel and Christina are a great team and their crew is a nice change from the usual work crews that come to my home. Very friendly and eager to please. Ramirez Landscape inlaid cement and rock in between cement pads, making my landscaping flow better. They also replaced large rock for smaller rock in some areas, replaced some plants I did not like and refinished a large wood deck in my back yard. The work was performed on time and professionally. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for landscape work to be done on their home..

I'm questioning whether Angie's List is a good avenue to find a reliable and competent contractor. I haven't had very good luck using this service.

Mr. Ramirez arrived at the scheduled time, and provided a detailed invoice of discussed and agreed work to be done. I felt it was a fair, competitive price therefore I provided a requested check (50%) of the quoted price, with the rest to be paid at completion of work. I appreciated his approachable manner to discuss what I wanted done, and provide practical suggestions upon request. He came earlier than the agree upon scheduled date, which I really appreciated. Throughout the two days, Mr. Ramirez and his workers did the work in a professional manner. Mr. Ramirez and the workers did the work, with him checking throughout that all the work was done well. Removing the existing rock was quite a lot, since the previous contractor had just placed rock over existing rock. I really liked his suggestion of rock size and color of rock placed. All existing rock was removed, placed 6 mil plastic ; put screening color (Franklin red) against the house. The remainder of the front yard with 3/4 color (Franklin red) , and load of red dirt to fill center of planters as agreed upon. The removal of dead branches to the tree done. The trimming of the front tree done well. The sprinkler system had not been used due to previous frustrating encounters from other contractors not fixing it to working level. Mr. Ramirez started to address leaks with replacing of valves and leaks which I really appreciated. Overall, I felt comfortable Mr. Ramirez would do a great job and he delivered. The cleanup was exceptional, even out to the street area. So much that we agreed he would complete the repair of the sprinkler system with valve and bacfkow repair in the coming week. I did extensive website search, and Angie's list and this company was the best. I would highly recommend Mr. Ramirez and his business for future jobs, and recommend him to family and friends. It is evident he takes pride in doing an exceptional job with the supervised workers he has, and the equipment he brings ( bobcat equip.). Thank you!

Daniel arrived within 2 minutes of the time he scheduled the estimate appointment. He was very professional in measuring the job and determining exactly what materials and labor he would need. He provided a very legible estimate that I agreed to and requested a reasonable down payment to cover the cost of parts and rental of equipment. I provided him with a check and he arranged to have the work started early the next week. On the day they were to start, they arrived at the time scheduled and immediately got to work. I know that Daniel was concerned about keeping his workers hydrated and they pressed on replacing the front yard irrigation pipes first. I was amazed at the speed that they were able to dig the new trenches and lay the pipe. Once the pipes were laid they were able to return the front landscaping to pristine condition. Late in the afternoon they were able to get to the back yard and complete the total job before they left. Everything was cleaned up and it all worked properly. I paid the final payment which included the Military/Senior discount. Unusual for El Paso where I am often waiting for long periods of time for contractors or other workers to show up or at least call. I have recommended his services to my neighbors and at least one has contracted with him for work similar to mine.

They worked long hours, used quality materials, and were responsive to my comments and suggestions. I would highly recommend this company.

He showed up on time, gave a fair price and did good work. Consequently when I developed a leak in the sprinkler system, I called back to schedule him to come fix it. After 6 calls over a two week period I've yet to receive a returned phone call. Maybe he thinks I'm asking him to do something for nothing. I never said that. Regardless, it's simply unprofessional not to return phone calls. As I can see from the recent reviews I'm not alone in this issue.

Called the main contact number on their website (same number on Angie's List) and got their voicemail. Called back later that day and got voicemail. Called back the following week and got voicemail. Left a message that time with my contact information asking to be called back to schedule an estimate. It has now been two weeks and have not heard back from Ramirez Landscape & Maintenance.

He never called me, left message twice.

Mr. Ramirez responded to my request for a quote within a few days. Came to my home and gave me a few different quotes for work to be done immediately and in the future. Was very professional and worked with me on price due to my budget. Was at my home within two days to complete a full yard clean up and he and his crew did a phenomenal job. The whole crew is VERY detail oriented, a quality missing in other yard crews I have used in the past. When there were a few extra details I noticed at the end during a walk through Mr. Ramirez took care of them right away. I was extremely pleased with the work, the professionalism of the crew and I will definitely use them again for the other jobs I was quoted for.

Daniel Ramirez was very nice and responsive right from the beginning. He came out to give us a quote soon after I called. I had misunderstood his quote originally and after contacting other companies I texted him to see if he could clarify his quote. I'm glad I did! Once he clarified, I realized his quote was right in line with the other companies. I decided to use him for the work because he was able to come out quickly and because he was nice to deal with. He also was able to do all the work we needed, so I figured it would be easier to 'one-stop shop' so to speak, rather than having to coordinate multiple companies. His workers showed up early to work and worked efficiently. They completed the job by the promised time and it looks fantastic. We couldn't be happier. I have already recommended him to our neighbors and we will definitely use him in the future.

The workers showed up as planned and worked steadily for several days. I was told this is how they work, avoiding flitting from one job and back to another job. They performed the work well and took more than ordinary care. In order to get their equipment in, they tore out a gate and part of the rock wall, then rebuilt everything back. The gate, which had been sticking and hard to close, worked better after they finished than it ever had. They are likely not the cheapest in the initial bid nor on some additions to the job (the added mortaring and putting in paving stones under the kids' playhouse) but they do do quality work and tend not to cut corners.

They kept their appointment, quickly did the work, charged me for it and left. Later when I started to fill corners with dirt so the grass would cover it, found pieces of cement and cobblestone in one of the corners. Had to remove them myself. This has happened to us no matter who we hire. We always have to finish the work ourselves or depending on the work, hire someone else to finish it up. The men in this company were very respectful and friendly and I figured they didn't realize there were more cement pieces under the dirt. I called them to make them aware so they could pick them up and cart them off to the landfill since they shouldn't be placed in our trash can, but they never showed. I finally placed them in another worker's trailer along with construction trash he had been paid to haul from my Father's home. The work at my home was done in August and in October my father passed and I had to prepare his home to list it. I chose to hire someone else to do that work and he also left some things behind that we're having to deal with. They won't return when you call them. We also had problems with the roofer my brother hired to work at my Father's home, the person who painted the inside of the home and the person hired to haul away the items removed from the backyard. I had joined Angie's list because this happens to us always and thought I might find some other companies, but with the passing of my Father, I've been too busy to check anything on Angie's list or send reviews. Ramirez is the only company I've hired through Angie's List and at their suggestion I had signed up for Angie's list.

Very professional. The crew worked well as team to get the job done quick. Also, Mr. Ramirez was responsive to suggestions and requests as the work was performed. This company sets a standard that other service providers would do well to follow.

I am very late writing this review! :( Mr. Ramirez is professional and pleasant. The job was finished in less than a week, and he checked on the progress personally and kept us updated. The yard was left clean upon completion. He answered all of our questions and concerns about how things would be done. He respectfully worked with our budget. It is difficult to find professionals who have the right balance of experience, flexibility and integrity, as well as respect for the homeowner's hard earned money. We really enjoyed our experience and would not hesitate to work with him again or refer him to others.

Mr. Daniel Ramirez and his crew were professional, prompt and highly skilled. We are very happy with all of the work they performed. They extended our existing patio, added a separate patio and lovely curved sidewalk, and also added a concrete pad and sidewalk on the side of our home...beautiful work. They also installed sod, which they purchased at a nursery in the upper valley and delivered to our home on the far east side, going the extra mile (many miles, actually) to make sure our grass would be green and healthy. Mr. Ramirez took the time to explain detailed instructions on how to take care of our new sod to make sure it would thrive. They installed landscape rock and trimmed our overgrown tree and shrubs. We had gotten estimates from several other contractors, but Ramirez Landscaping was the only company that could perform all of the services we needed, and at very competitive rates. We will absolutely be calling Ramirez Landscaping for all of our future concrete, rock wall and landscaping needs.

This job took a few days because of the rain that interfered. The cementing was postponed to allow the ground to thoroughly dry. When working, the workmen arrived on time, were pleasant and efficient in their work. Daniel checked with me and the progress regularly, and I found him easy to talk to and willing to accommodate. I couldn't be more pleased. This is an excellent company, and their prices are reasonable.

I was very satisfied for this company's work. They came to my house on time, and completed all work that was ask to be completed. Greet customer service. Would recommend them to anyone that needs landscaping and lawn care. They trimmed they grass, trimmed rose bushes and did an all round clean up around my house, also hauled off all landscapes they cut.

On time, did exactly what we expected, gave us great advice on maintenance of landscape and gave us some great ideas for the future!

I strongly recommend Ramirez Landscape and Maintenance to anyone. Danny Ramirez and his team are extremely professional and skilled. I found Ramirez on Angie's List and called him for an estimate to replace the grass in my backyard. I had already gotten a couple of other estimates. Danny met me on time and we went over the details of my lawn. He explained everything his crew would do and quoted a very reasonable price. He was courteous and professional at all times, and I hired him on the spot. He and his crew showed up and finished my backyard lawn in one business day. Their work is superb and the lawn looks great and is doing well! They even went beyond the work he quoted and put some extra work into my backyard, clearing weeds and touching up my rock-scape. I couldn't be happier with the results. And more importantly, my wife and son love it! We can't wait to put our new yard to some good use! I was so impressed with his company's work that I hired Danny for another job to add some rock to my front yard. His crew carried out that job in the same professional, expeditious manner. They even fixed up a nice little flower bed for my wife. Now, the front yard looks great again too! I extremely pleased with all of the work this crew did. I will continue to use Ramirez Landscape and Maintenance as my landscapers and recommend anyone else use them as well.
