Ramirez Landscape & Maintenance

I found a flyer for Ramirez Landscaping and Maintenance on my front door. I dialed the number and made arrangements for them to provide me with an estimate. They (Daniel and a woman) arrived on a Wednesday morning. Measurements were taken, and I asked them a few questions about the process, warranty, and their work crew. The woman said she would have to check with her synthetic grass source regarding the warranty question I asked about. As they were leaving, I asked how soon I would hear from them, the woman said she was going to contact the company about my warranty question. I stated that I wanted them to provide me with an estimate for their own warranty, and that it was okay if she wasn’t able to get the warranty information from their synthetic grass supplier. Daniel then said I would hear from them later that evening (Wednesday). Friday morning arrived and I still hadn’t heard from them, so I phoned Ramirez Landscaping and Maintenance. The woman answered. I informed her that I was following up because I hadn’t received their estimate. She stated that she had not yet received a reply from the company about my warranty question. I informed her that it was okay, and if she could provide me with an estimate based upon the warranty which Ramirez Landscaping and Maintenance provided for such work. The woman said yes, and that if she could call me back in 20 minutes with that information. I said yes and thanked her. I’ve given her an additional 7 days to call me back and I still haven’t received her call. I’ve checked my phone for missed calls from the 2 numbers I have for them, I’ve been home for the last 7 days and no one except for UPS has been at my door. Very unprofessional if you ask me. They leave a flyer on my door, I call, they arrive, and I never hear their estimate. It’s a good thing there are plenty of landscaping companies who are willing, able, committed, and professional enough to provide the services they say they’ll provide. Believe me when I say that it would have been okay for them to Inform me that they, for whatever reason, had chosen not to provide their services for the work I wanted done. I should thank them for revealing how unprofessional they really are.

They showed up two times. After that, they never answered phone calls or called back. I let them set the price which was very high but since they were rated 'A' at the time and I needed someone good and reliable, I was willing to pay extra. Unfortunately just like so many yard companies, they are flakes. I called 3 times and never heard back. Now on to looking for a new company!

Good, workers were on time. Performed work in professional manner. Were friendly.

They were very thorough. It took a couple of hours. Maybe six hours or so. They were very polite and very helpful. I think that they explained everything really well, and they asked me before they did anything if it was going to cost extra.

Call to make an appointment for an estimate they never showed up nor a call was given. The next day they call me and we made another appointment in which they never showed up again and the call to let me know that "they were in my area " and they can go to make the estimate was 3 hours later!! Of course i wasn't in my home anymore. Never contacted them again.

Called this company's office and was told they would come out to my house to give me an estimate for routine lawn maintenance. No one showed up nor called me to say they couldn't make it. I know this is a busy time of year but a phone call to say they can't make it would have been nice.

Ramirez Landscaping came on a weekday to give us a quote around 1900. I told Mr. Ramirez what I Primarily wanted and he gave some ideas as to what we could do to make it look nicer. I loved the ideas and the fact that he could also start the work as soon as the following week made his offer more enticing. We had scheduled multiply quotes and though Mr. Ramirez was the highest quoted we decided on his idea for our backyard and the fact of how fast he could get started with the work. The other companies were putting us off til the end of November. The project took around 14 days to complete. We had the porch extended in the back and a walk-way added to each side of the back yard. A brick border for the back yard where shrubs and trees would be planted and provide a nice aesthetic look. It also provided a practical function of protecting the rock wall we have in our yard. At the beginning we had a lot of dirt and so it was decided we needed to have a small tractor come in remove much of the excess dirt that was in our yard. I was thankful that Ramirez Landscaping did that free of charge. It saved them time rather than doing it by manual labor, which would have taken much longer. The irrigation was in place to water the grass and a drip system to provide all trees and shrubs existing and non-existing to be watered. The porch extension was stamped, colored, and stained. The existing front and back covered porches were stained to provide more appeal. We even decided to add an above ground pergola that would be anchored on top of the concrete. The front of the house we decided to extended a small piece of our drive way to accommodate our trash cans and made a small planting bed to put privacy plants on our front window. We also had a drip line placed their to feed the front yard plants. We asked to have a border around our front yard live oak tree and gravel also to be placed. there. We were very thankful for ideas and hard work Ramirez Landscaping provided and are very pleased by it. Thank you again! We will get pictures post on a later date.

They were all very nice and the work was well done. They were really hard workers and worked non stop. The drive looks very professional.

Completely satisfied. They were so clean and efficient, you could hardly tell that they were there after they left.

Daniel Ramirez and his team did a fantastic job repairing my sprinklers. Mr. Ramirez came out to assess what was wrong and then went and got the parts and came back with a team who quickly knocked out fixing broken valves and installing a new outdoor sprinkler system. They were all very professional, tested everything they installed and even adjusted all my sprinklers that weren't part of the problem to ensure they had good coverage on the grass. I highly recommend them to anyone in El Paso!

It was great! they were on time and did more work than I expected. They were very professional and made additional recommendations for my yard. They are an absolute must for Landscaping!

Daniel responded within hours to my husband's call and set a time for an estimate. He showed up early, gave us his estimate, and showed his extensive knowledge of landscaping, sprinkler systems, and lawns. We set a date for the work. He and his crew showed up when they said they would, did an amazing job with the tree removal, the new planting, and the lawn aeration, and cleaned up completely. Their professionalism and the pride they took in doing the job above and beyond the norm are traits we've seldom seen in the last 20 years. We highly recommend them for any landscaping work.. Their knowledge, experience, and common sense are rare and will give you excellent value for your money.

It was difficult to initially contact him, but once he started , work went smoothly and he was very responsive to our suggestions.

I have requested some repair work be performed. I have called & left messages with their answering machine 5 times & left a message on their website. None were returned. I have waited almost 2 weeks for a reply. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. It appears that Angie's List is worthless in El Paso!

When we began the project Daniel was able to start about a week and a half sooner then he had planned on. The crew was there every morning an got right to work. He has a very professional and friendly crew. Any time we had questions or concerns Daniel was available with answers and reassurances. He was onsite for at least part of every day and when the actual stamping took place he was there every day and worked as hard as any of his crew. We are very happy with his work and we will definitely be calling him when we're ready to do the rest of the landscaping.

It was excellent! The best I ever had! Their attention to detail was 2nd to none and also very cleanup was fantastic!

Daniel Ramirez and his crew were excellent in trimming my tress in a fast, efficient, and professional manner. He quoted me a reasonable price and did a great job in pruning and shaping my tress. Moreover, he went to the extra trouble of cleaning up the yard and making it look great as an extra service. I was so impressed that I plan on using him for my yard service and future landscape needs--especially after he gave me a quote for a raised stone wall flowerbed and showed me his portfolio of work.

Excellent work and responsiveness, easy to communicate with, workers were quiet and proficient, more work was done than I expected. My yard looks beautiful and I would definitely recommend this company to others. The cost was a little high for me because I am on such a limited income but was comparable with other providers in the area. I am grateful for the help!

courteously asked the lady to schedule any free quotes to be before noon since i need to sleep to work at night. was promised prompt service for the next day or monday. did not get a call one hour prior to having the estimate guy to come over, got a call at 1100 that they can't make it until 1400-1500. just left the back gate unlocked.. they did their estimate, which was over-priced, and left the gate wide open so that my dog ran away..for the entire service i was not expective to pay more than $120 and that is generous considering i could have gone much cheaper. Just thought to give angieslist a try, this was a major disappointment.

The service was great. Communication was clear. Completed in a timely manner.

He came out to give me a quote of a larger project that included the clean-up. He was very professional. I decided to just clean up the yard now and save the bigger project for later.

Great. Daniel Ramirez arrived and removed the section of sidewalk and replaced it on the same day. His work was professional and the job site was cleaned when he was done. In addition to the work that we contracted for, he also covered some handprints in the front concrete (from a previous owner) for no additional charge. I would recommend him and his company, and will certainly use him in the future.

They gave me a quote in May for $3190 which included each side for $1595. I was satisfied with quote and explained to them that the work can be started in September they agreed. When I contacted them in September with the quote that they had gave me in May they then said that that quote was only for the front yard not for the back. I have tried numerous times to contact these people to get an updated quote with no response.

Ramirez landscape was very difficult to make contact with. I phoned the number on the Angies list contact window and left two messages. Several days later I had yet to hear from anyone so I phoned one more time as they have this exceptional history with Angies list. I was able to reach a woman Christine who set up an appoiintment for me with Daniel Ramirez. Daniel arrived and went over the entire system that he was going to install. He was professional and explained what he was going to provide and addressed all my questions. We exchanged contact information and he told me he would be sending an estimate the next day via email. It has been several weeks since my last contact with Daniel and the office. I have called the office several times, left messages and once again no return calls. A few days later I received an email from the office / Daniel, It reads as follows: Ramirez Landscapes <info.ramirezlandscapes@gmail.com>Aug 25 (4 days ago)to me I can go give you an estimate on Friday after pls let me know I responded to his request and once again asked for the estimate he was to provide. Friday has come and gone, I have yet to receive a response or an estimate form him. I am very perplexed as to how he can conduct himself in such a professional manner and then just drop the ball entirely at the conclusion of the process. I was looking forward to having him perform the service because of his demeanor and insight and the company's overall performance with other Angies list customers. This is the second time we have used and or attempted to use Angies list super service award providers with a very poor outcome. The lackluster performance of Ramirez landscape reiterates the necessity to adhere to the doctrine of "Caveat Emptor". Although the provider has high marks from other Angies List consumers, it may not be reflected accurately. One must remember that the information Angie provides is a year old (its last years performance). I am now of the mindset that "super service provider" is relatively meaningless and will carry little weight when interviewing prospective service providers.
