Overall, I was satisfied with their quote. It was done over the phone, and they did not need to send out a salesperson to my house to look in greater detail. I did not end up going with Protection One because of their higher monthly monitoring cost, but my experience with them was favorable.
Description of Work: Called company to get a quote on residential alarm installation and monitoring. Got transferred to national sales line in Kansas with a tele-sales rep. Quote was for installation of a three bedroom ranch style house in West El Paso that did not have an existing system. Quote was for a three year agreement and a base install price of 149.00 that included 1 keypad, 1 control panel, 1 siren, 1 battery backup, 1 motion sensor, and 3 door sensors. Additional charges for 70.00 for an additional garage door sensor, and 99.00 for a cellular GSM radio unit. Monthly monitoring was 36.95 per month. Equipment was a combination wired and wireless system using Honeywell/Ademco products. Upfront charges included 318.00 for total install and 110.85 for three months of monitoring.
