Terrible!! This is a follow up report from the 08/30/17 complaint. This was a rescheduled appointment for the no-show/no-call appointment of the previous day. Same problem on this date. Cesar said he come out, but didn't call or show up. Big waste of my time. This guy cesar just plain lied to me. Very frustrating!! I decided not to deal with this extremely unreliable "company".

TERRIBLE!!! On this day cesar said he would come out and fix the leak. He said he would call first before coming. Needless-to-say he didn't call and didn't come by. We waited all day for him but he didn't come or call.. I called him the next day and he said he would come out right away on Thursday 08/31/17 day at 9:30 AM. He didn't show up all day, nor did he call at all. Please see my subsequent report. We were very upset by this complete unprofessional behavior!!

I don't like him. He guarantee the work and when I called him back because, one of the faucets was leaking, he charged me $60 because, I had bought the faucet and he didn't warranty that. He put two little rings on it that might have amounted to $1 and he charged me $60. I paid him $2500 for the job and he charged me for this cheap stuff that I could have gone to the store and gotten myself. I'm never going to hire him again. He kept me waiting and he showed up whenever he wanted. He told me he would be here at 9 AM and he wouldn't show up until 4 PM.

To any of our current and future customers, we offer proposals prior to any work performed, all costs are stated and warranties are gone over as to what is and what is not covered. We rather purchase item for them to avoid situations like this, but because a few customers opt for a lesser cost item (close out), we run into this issue. We went into contract with Miss [member name removed] and our contract stated customer to provide all fixtures. I can not warranty items purchased by homeowners, any disagreements that any customer has should be addressed to us first. We've been in business for almost 14yrs and have run into this issue a few times but most customers understand. In all cases we should be given an opportunity to resolve issue if they arise. As for the charge she incurred, she was made aware of it prior to performing repair. She paid and never disputed while we where their, in fact Mr. [member name removed] asked her why she was paying and she stated she purchased all plumbing fixtures and where not under warranty. I am very surprised that almost a year has passed with-out a word or call from Miss [member name removed], she has even referred us to other customers and now this WOW.

The plumber was referred by a home warranty for several things that needed to be fixed throughout my house including changing my kitchen faucet. First he tried to charge me for work that was covered by the warranty (access to a wall), second he stated that it would be better if I got the home warranty to pay me for the kitchen faucet and I could pay him direct, that it would work better for him which I did unfortunately. He installed the faucet and the handles are backwards, that is they point forward instead of to the sides, he tried to convince me that this was the right way. The spout of the faucet also does not rotate correctly, it rotates about 45 degrees to the left and it goes all the way back to the wall on the right. After he left I called Delta the manufacturer of the faucet and they stated that the faucet was installed incorrectly but that this was an easy adjustment. I called him back, he came and told me that the parts he needed to adjust were breaking and he needed to order new parts from Delta, they provided the parts under warranty of the faucet. The parts that we received were incorrect, I called Delta again and they sent the new parts. I called him and made an appointment for him to come back, he never showed up to fix the faucet installation. According to Delta this should have been a very easy adjustment, if only he had read the manual that came with the faucet maybe he would have done it right the first time but how hard can it be for a certified plumber to install a kitchen faucet? Throughout the whole process he kept saying that the poor service he was providing was because he was working for the home warranty company, that if I would deal with him directly he would give me priority. Why then does he enter into these agreements with home warranties? What is worst is that I did hire him directly to install the faucet and I got burned because now the home warranty company won't get involved in the issue.

Response from Pro Plumbers Plumbing co.
On occasion we perform service work for home warranty companies which was the case in this instance. Once home owner files claim through their home warranty company, work order is assigned to us for service. Monies we collected on service call covers homeowners agreed copay which all policy holder are well made aware of any addition monies collected are priced and explained to policy holders prior to any work being performed as not covered items. We only collect what home Warranty Company advises us and home owner has to agree with amounts listed by Warranty Company not us before we do anything, any amounts balances are covered by Warranty Company, not home owners. The $95.00 home owner paid were paid to us per her contract agreement with home warranty company (COPAY). Homeowner did a cash out for her kitchen faucet where Warranty Company paid her a preset amount of a couple of hundred dollars for her to purchase a faucet of her desire in lieu of a basic chrome faucet. Home owner purchased her faucet online and through home warranty company we installed faucet along with other repairs which she received a new disposal, repaired her washer drain and checked other sinks which all tallied a lot more than her copay which she gave us. KITCHEN FAUCET- Home owner purchased her own faucet, we do not warranty items purchased by home owners, and in these cases we cover only our craftsmanship (our labor). The faucet she purchased was installed as it came out of the box and per manufactures recommendations. We installed faucet which works as intended, swivels and produces hot and cold water with no leaks an basically works as it should. Faucet when closed has handles inward, and opens outward to allow full use of sink tubs, home owner wanted to have handles open in which I expressed to her would get caught up with larger pot and pans. Homeowner became furious and stated she wanted the faucet to open as she wanted, not the way it was provided to us. We called manufacture for suggestions, and they replied that it might not be able to open as she wanted but gave us some suggestions of what to try. What manufactured asked me to do concerned me that new faucet might become damaged which I showed homeowner’s grandmother which she concurred and called homeowner to explain, again homeowner did not what that. I again called manufacture and expressed my concern so they sent out parts in case if damage faucet while trying to MODIFY FAUCET HANDELS method of opening, they sent wrong part. I called home owner and advised her and again she became upset. I explained to her that she needs to call her home warranty company to address her concerns due to call being an insurance claim. I also expressed to her that because claim had been closed, she would have to probably cover our cost to attempt modification and again advised her to call Warranty Company before we continue. I later received a call from her warranty company’s representative who stated that he had spoken with homeowner and explained to her that because faucet installed was purchased by homeowner and had no mechanical failures, they would no longer cover our labor to assist homeowner. I spoke to homeowner who was upset and she stated that I ripper her off, and made other allegations. We made every possible attempt to accommodate homeowner but she would not accept that if we damaged faucet while tiring to modify it we would not be responsible and that if Warrant Company did not cover our cost to further perform she would incur cost. We did not deceive, misrepresent nor per sway homeowner to act or decide in any way, she made all arrangements through her home warranty company and that's how we showed up at her home, as a service provider. As stated in their contract with home warranty company, homeowners are responsible for COPAY and NON-COVERED items, warranty companies pay us the remaining balance. If home owner wants a refund she needs to address her home warranty company along with any further issues. Homeowner is upset and I understand, but going through Angie's List and Better Business will not resolve her issue, she needs to address her home warranty company. Putting us in bad light and making false claims does not help anyone, she needs to bear in mind that we performed over $500.00 worth of service work plus she received a few hundred dollars as a cash out for faucet, the $95.00 paid by her was determent and agreed to by her and her home warranty company who is no longer listening to her so now she has chosen to attack us in this fashion.
