David Hoover came over right away to give me an estimate on my leaking roof. After spending time on the roof, he figured out the problem and gave me an estimate of $400. He told me the work could be done the next week, and that is when the workers came and made the repairs. The cost was the same as the estimate, and through one rainstorm the roof did not leak. After several years of trying to get the roof fixed by various people who did not actually do the job, I was very grateful that David was professional and did the job he said he would do for a fair price.

The end result is great. The new door is beautiful inside and, and the walls and brick work were done perfectly. The estimate was more than fair, and covered all aspects of the job. The people doing the work were professional and respectful, and cleaned the area each day before they left. Robert Phillips and his assistant, Sammy Lopez were on hand for all phases of the job to oversee, schedule the phases, and to inspect the quality of each phase. During the course of this job, a major problem was revealed in the gas lines of my house. This problem was pre-existing due to the age of my house and poor original construction. What could have been a nightmare was handled efficiently and knowledgeably by Robert. He had competent plumbers on the spot, and during the course of attempting to locate the leaks, conferred with them each step of the way, making the best decision as to what to do next. Robert kept me informed of every aspect of the process of locating and repairing the gas leaks. Each decision was based on safety and cost effficiency. The problems were located and repaired, the lines were tested and approved, and what could have been a very costly, dangerous situation was handled quickly, safely, and at a minimum cost to me both in terms of money and inconvenience. I highly recommend this company. My experiences with them have been excellent.

They are fantastic! The employees are extremely professional, and do an incredible job. My real estate agent even asked for the information after seeing the quality of the work. The house looks brand new. Every time I work with Phillips Hoover, Im always blown away at their work. They may not be the cheapest in town, but they are by far the very best. I found Phillips Hoover Roofing on Angie's List and decided to try them. I fist spoke with David Hoover, asking him for a free estimate. He came to our homes that same day and inspected each roof. After the inspection, David explained that both homes had hail damage, as well to the roofs being worn out. He was very courteous and professional during the entire process. David explained that he uses only high quality, name brand materials and that this approach allowed him to provide a 10 year warranty on the roof. Our insurance company stated that we could use whoever we wanted but did send one of their regular contractors to our homes. That company would only provide a 3 year warranty! A day or two later, I called David and asked if Phillips Hoover could do the job. He scheduled our homes for the following week. David and his workers arrived early on the agreed upon day and worked for two-and-a-half days. During this time we also decided to install Master Cool units. David installed the metal tube (for lack of a better word) needed for the new units. He suggested a company whose name I forgot but who did a great install. After they finished, David and his crew left our homes as clean, if not cleaner than they were prior to the work being done. The roofs look so good that we have received many compliments from neighbors and friends. The job was completed one year ago and we have had no problems. Recently, I needed a copy of the invoice for the roof but could not find my copy. I called David. He remembered me, had the information on file, and faxed me a copy of the invoice that same day! Overall, you have to look far and wide to find this kind of service. I will definitely call on Phillips Hoover for any of our future needs in their industry. Excellent customer service, workmanship, and guarantee!!! Definitely worth the price.

Requested some replacement shingles on the roof and replacement of the roof ventilators. Also request the pipe vents be shortened. All was performed well, except they didnt reduce the length of the pipe vents. Good service, but dificult to get in touch with

They replaced the roof. They did a good job. They were very professional. Their quality was good. I felt very confident with their work. They were little expensive.

When my roof leaked I called this company and left a message. They returned my call within the hour. When I explained that my roof was a white polyurethane the owner was honest in explaining that he had had limited experience with such roofing. He told me he would check with other contractors to make a referral. The referral wasn't necessary, but I appreciated his honesty and attempt to help immensely. I wouldn't hesitate contacting him for other work needed, such as painting.

Robert Phillips made excellent suggestions to our orginal plan including a beautiful arch over the shower in the master bathroom. All work, tile, plumbing, painting, etc. was very professionally done. His on-site supervisor, Sam Lopez, coordinated all activities and kept us well informed as to the progress. A few minor problems were noted, but they were promptly corrected. He stayed with his original estimate. We were very satisfied with the work on the bathrooms, so we hired him to renovate our kitchen as well.

When they promised something, they always came through. During construction activities, someone in authority was always present. Deadlines were always kept. The workmanship was excellent. They always kept us informed of what was going on throughout the project. We were extremely satisfied with the project from start to finish. We always show off our new large patio and cover to all visitors. We are looking at doing three or four more projects and will certainly use them again.

They promptly returned my call, came by to assess my needs, made suggestions we'd never have thought of and returned with a plan and estimate within two days. We agreed right away and work began the next day. Work continued about ten days. Workers were prompt courteous and cleaned up before leaving each day. Finished product exceeded all expectations. They pointed out hail damage on the roof and were on hand to show claims adjuster from our insurance company. Insurance covered most of roofing costs.

After they re-roofed it there was an air-conditioner replacement which was of course reaches the integrity of the roof so they had to come out and at both times they did fine job. Everything was good. The work was good, it was timely, and professional. But the one thing that stands out was when they removed all the roofing material they did not get all the nails off. They did clean up pretty well but I have dogs so I had to buy one of these large magnets and roll around. Even that did not get all the nails off. That was the only thing that left a bad taste. I am not emphasising the negative but I am just being realistic and painting a broad picture. They were pricey, they were not that expensive compared to the others but they were certainly not the least expensive. I suppose it goes back to what you paid for. I fully well intent to use them in the future.

David Hoover was very professional, courteous and punctual. He arrived on the day and time that we arranged and submitted a professional and detailed roof replacement estimate. I liked that he was the one that answered the phone when I would call as opposed to a machine or answering service. He definitely made the short list when I was deciding on contractors.

I choose them because they were near the top of Angie's List and had a lot of positive reviews. He was prompt for the estimate the same day that I called. His presentation was very well put together and he was very honest. He said that his workers would put tarp around my home to help with clean up and that they would perform clean up each day. The owner was on site most days other than running a couple of errands. He also answered any questions that I had and he was very honest about them and explained them thoroughly. They were done with the job in 3 days and didn't rush through. They had good work hours so they wouldn't overwork the workers. I had seen previous comments about Phillips being more expensive but he was way under the other 5 estimates that I received. I also liked that he didn't ask for money upfront. He also used the best duration roofing shingles available to help with wind gusts in my area. The shingles Owens Corning is guaranteed up to 130 mph winds. It looks great. I liked Phillips Hoover so well that I am going with his partner to do additional work around my home.

Estimates were thorough, with all aspects of the job explained and accounted for. Materials were described, procedures were explained. Time frame for jobs were projected, and held to. Subcontractors were respectful, polite, and cleaned up daily during the duration of each project. The finished work exceeded expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone seeking roofing or remodeling.

I was impressed from the beginning. I used the roofing part of the company to install a new roof a couple of months prior and was very pleased with the professionalism, the quality, and the cost associated with that work. When I asked for an estimate of the kitchen remodel, they were prompt, responsive, and understood my needs. My house is almost 100 years old and they did an excellent job of dealing with and maintaing the integrity of the house's original style. The contractor brought most of the subcontractors to see what needed to be done and to discuss how it would be done prior to beginning the job. The contractor or his assistant personally supervised the contractors while the work was being done. Throughout the project the contractor was in touch both in person or by telephone.

I really don’t know if anything had been done because we haven’t received any rain here. I spent $80 for their service. The guy who did the work was prompt and cleaned up after himself. He did explain about doors and heavy rain in this area. My overall experience with them was good. I think they are a little pricey. They are on the higher end. If I have problems, I would use their services again.

To begin with, Mr. Phillips was responsive when I called for an estimate. He scheduled an appointment and came as promised. He gave me his cell phone number and answered when I called. He provided a contract specifying the work to be done and the cost, and payment terms. The job was scheduled to accomodate my schedule and they came when they were supposed to, did the job quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up when they were done.. Mr. Phillips and his workers exemplified professionalism and quality work. My strongest recommendation.
