Ed worked carefully with us to identify all our needs and provided a very reasonable estimate for the list of fixes and general repairs we needed. Keith and Junior arrived promptly on the agreed date and did high-quality work. We would (and likely will) call upon them again for additional work.

I called and spoke with Ed Clouse and appointment was made and confirmed. Well on set appt and time, he NEVER showed up and NEVER called back. I called him and left a message for a call back. Several hours passed and he Finally returned My call. He gave me excuses and lied to me about a text message ( he never got my cell no. Just my home phone line). He also made it a point to say how he ran a business and he was a busy boss. Small jobs were beneath him. Too bad, I was planning to offer a Big Job for a Large Patio enclosure with another Big Addition. He really Sucks !!!!!!!!!! Angie's List needs to do better than to endorse a Loser like this guy !!!!!!!

Yay! This job went very well. Because Nu-Tec does wonderful work, they are very busy so finding a time that our project could be done was the only catch. But our patience was rewarded with a job well done. Great attention to detail. Cracks were filled, areas where the stucco on our house was weak or compromised were completely redone, with the stucco replaced and retexturized. Painters applied two coats of elastomeric paint. They sanded and repainted wrought iron balcony rails, replaced door frames, and in one case, replaced the entire door. The workers were very punctual, often at work by 8:00 am. They cleaned up every day and left our yard neat, with all equipment kept out of the way on the side of the house. Our home looks brand new! In addition, they repaired an area of ceiling where our AC had leaked and caused a stained and damage to the plaster. And they regrouted areas in our shower. And painted our shed to match the house. These projects were added to our contract after our initial contact with Nu-Tec and yet Ed and his crew were able to help us with these projects for a very reasonable fee.

Over the course of two weeks: Three phone calls (two to the Owner Ed Clouse, and one to the office) and an email to the office descriing the nature of the work to be done. No response ... Quite typical of the service industry here in El Paso. Therefore I am reticent with the quality of craftsmanship and likely to not hire them. May have to bring someone in from out of town to accomplish the project.

Ed and Keith were the ultimate professionals. We received a detailed bid for the project and all the work we needed. Work was excellent and their crew cleaned the work site daily. We could not be happier with the final results. They also finished on budget and the time frame they gave us. You may have to wait for them to get to your project, but that is because they are in such demand. Well worth the wait!

Nu-Tec did a superb job of building our home! From the very beginning until the day we received the Certificate of Occupation Ed and Keith were engaged with us. They recommended an architect to assist with the floor plans and throughout the building process both Ed and Keith made suggestions on how the construction could be improved. Cost saving improvements - yes. Cheap - no!!! They do quality Work!!! Unfortunately for me, my job required me to move to Virginia, but I felt comfortable that the Nu-Tec Team would not let my wife down and would listen to and follow through on all her recommendations/ideas. They did not let us down. They even credited us for some changed materials that we both agreed upon and passed along the savings to us. Not many builders will do this! Ed or Keith, sometimes both, were always on the job-site to supervise the workers. They were always available - Always on call for us. They made sure the work was being done to our specifications and that the quality of the work was excellent. We followed Nu-Tec's advice and chose the subs he recommended for the stone countertops, the custom cabinets, and the tile setting. All their subs did quality work. The entire Nu-Tec crew were very professional and easy to work with. They answered all of our questions and made useful suggestions throughout the process. We are extremely pleased with the results. Their quality of work was exceptional, their price for the work was extremely fair, and the job-site was always clean! Having never built a home, my wife and I were certainly stressing since we had heard horror stories about builders not building to specification or not available after the completion of the home. Not so with Nu-Tec!!! From day one they made us feel comfortable. After our first meeting we knew we had made the right choice in picking Nu-Tec to build our home. Honest, professional, prompt, friendly, quality and flexible all describe Nu-Tec!

This is my second renovation project with the company. The first was updating my two bath rooms last year. I could not be more pleased with Nu-Tec's work and their employees and I would most definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone. They arrive promptly at 8 am every morning and work until at least 4 pm, later if necessary to finish something they are working on. They are very careful to protect the rooms, fixtures and furniture in the path of the project. They recognize that I'm living in the house at night and over the weekend when they are gone, so they leave the work areas as accessible as possible in their absence. They also cleanup their work area in the garage every evening to allow me to put my car inside over night. Each of the employees hass a great deal of pride in his craftsmanship, which results in a high quality finished project. When removing the microwave to replace the backsplash behind it, they discovered that the exhaust fan was poorly installed. They replaced the ductwork and reinstalled it properly at no additional charge. There were other small improvements outside the scope of the project which they also took care of. Their attention to details ensure a completed project that not only meets expectations, but also exceeds them. All the employees are very pleasant people who I am totally comfortable having in my house, whether I am home or away.

I interviewed several contractors. Not one of the other contractors I talked with came in with a tape measure or note pad. Most contractors I talked with gave a “rough” estimate. This was unacceptable. Nu-Tec was not cheap nor the most expensive. Their pricing is spot on for the work they do. I enjoyed watching a pencil and paper idea came to life and NU-Tech enjoys their work and helped me every step of the way. The project started taking shape, new ideas came into play and we worked through the details. I will have Nu-Tec handle future work for me hands down!

I asked 4 contractors to bid on this project. Ed Clouse of Nu-Tec submitted the lowest and most detailed bid. (One contractor never submitted a bid; one was considerably more expensive; another was about the same as Nu-Tec's but nowhere near as detailed.) It only took Ed a week to prepare his bid; the other contractors took considerably longer. The work actually began 2 working days ahead of schedule, and was completed in a timely manner. While this work was going on we had a new heating and cooling system installed for the entire house (using a separate HVAC contractor), and Ed's crew did a very nice job of converting the furnace space into a wonderful extra closet--something that hadn't been included in the original bid--at a very reasonable cost. Ed and the entire crew were very professional and easy to work with. Ed answered all my questions and made useful suggestions on how we could best use the new space. I'm very pleased with the results, and will definitely call Nu-Tec the next time I have a project.

The crew showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. both days, ready to work. They were competent and careful to not disturb any of our landscape plantings. When they finished, they completely cleaned up all work areas--we didn't have to do a thing except write the check! We will definitely use this company again for larger projects. The owner was upfront about scheduling this small job between their larger remodeling projects and made good on his promise to schedule in the time frame he indicated on his estimate. If you want a small job done right and you aren't impatient to have the work done this week, I highly recommend this group.

Great! Clean, on time, flexible, accurate quote, and friendly. They removed a wall, moved electrical, and added plumbing. The team was helpful with selecting cabinets, toilet, and tile. I'm using them again for my next job. But schedule them early as they can be in high demand due to their excellent work.

It was a great. these guys are really good. They are always on time, very neat and very easy to talk to.This was 2nd job they did for us and we are ready to get another quote from them.

We started quoting the project in 2014 and Ed showed up on time for each appointment and communicated exactly what was happening with the estimates. Due to personal reasons we delayed the remodel one year and when I contacted Ed again in 2015 he was honest and told me his schedule was too full to take on the job instead of just trying to fit us in. He gave me a date 3 months out and as the time came around we arranged a start date and an estimated completion date of 8 weeks. The crew was at my house 8:00 am on the start date and everyday Monday - Friday until the construction was completed in 8 weeks as estimated. Ed and Keith were always supervising the work being done to guarantee that everything came out as we wanted and with excellent quality. Changes in design were made as requested and very often both Ed and Keith made suggestions on how the construction could be improved. Towards the end of the project special doors we ordered were not delivered in time. The doors arrived two weeks after the rest of the construction was completed and Keith returned and worked and additional two days to stain and install the doors at no additional cost. At the end of the construction, despite several modifications, after we checked the additions and credits there was no additional costs beyond the original estimate and my wife is thrilled with quality and finish of the additions to our house.

First of all they didnt respond to phone call for 3 weeks. Then I called again. He came, and promised estimate "Next WeeK". But that never happened.

The project could not have gone better and I could not be more pleased with the results. I first asked Ed Clouse to come to my home in January to estimate the work. After discussing the project and taking measurements, he provided me with a detailed estimate with reasonable allowances within a few days. We agreed on a general start date in June, which was the preferred timeframe for both of us. The team, consisting of 2 to 5 men depending on each day's workload, arrived promptly at 8 am every morning and worked until around 4 with a mid day lunch break. Every day they put down drop cloths throughout my house, and took them up and vacuumed or swept at the end of each day. They were careful to cover areas and furniture with plastic to protect as much as possible from the resulting dust. They used my garage as a staging/work area, but cleaned it up every evening so that I could get my car into it for the night. The quality of their work was excellent. I felt each member of the team took ownership of the work as if it were his own home. While doing the rough work in the master bathroom, they did more than was requested, such as moving a drain line in the slab, in order to "do it right", at no extra cost. The actual cost was consistent with the estimate. Ed was meticulous in tracking what was actually spent in relationship to the estimates and allowances. When items cost less than the estimate I was given credit, such that even with a few overages, the actual cost was slightly less than the original estimate. Each member of the tem (Ed, Keith, Junior, Ulysses, and Nick) was always pleasant, courteous, and committed to the project and responsive to any of my suggestions and/or requests. I was pleased to have all of them working in my home and will not hesitate to contract with them again.

Ed Clouse came out to the home I had just purchased and we discussed removing two dog doors and what I wanted him to do. He gave me a thorough written estimate and the cost. I was concerned this job would be too small or I would have to wait a long time. However, he did the job the next week, working me in between larger jobs. The work was done in a professional manor including texturing the inside and outside of the house to match existing surfaces and cleaning up when finished. I will be using Nu-tec for more projects.
