+ -1 more4 years ago, we had an emergency need to take care of: a collapsed sewer line. Fixing that required digging a trench through the whole house from bathroom to bathroom. Bill Murray of Mesa Home Improvements came and gave us a price for remodeling both bathrooms. The work was impeccable! The work site was always clean! The final product was beautiful. 4 years later I had an issue with the grout in the tile in one bathroom. Unfortunately I did NOT call Mesa Home Improvements first; the guy who came cut part of the shower pan and just wanted to do too much. I contacted Mesa Home Improvement who came out, fixed what the tile guy had done, and made the shower perfect again. I will always go to Mesa Home Improvements first no matter the size of the job. I was completely satisfied……excellent work! Epoxy included to make the grout last maybe forever!

+ 2 morePerfect A+ Rating. If I could go higher I would. Mesa Home Improvement Inc. is a very reputable and professional company, I would definitely recommend their services. I had several contractors bid on my project Mesa Home Improvement Inc. and Bill Murray owner was always on time and very professional. The quality of the products and the installation of services was unbelievable. Mr. Murray has a show room where we spent a lot of time working out details and selecting material. Mr. Murray was very patient with us and very thorough leaving no details left out. Mr. Murray is very good with decor and coordinating colors. I've had work done in the past and I was very disappointed in the contractor, the workers and the finished work. Mr. Murray was at our job site daily inspecting his employees work, they showed up on time every work day. The clean up after the construction was exceptional with no debris left. Also they cleaned up at the end of every work day. The windows are amazing so quiet in my house now not to mention warmer and cooler very energy efficient. Bathroom and kitchen work was also amazing I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Love my Windows, Kitchen, and bathroom.

+ 2 moreI had used this company before and was very satisfied with their work, so I called them again. As before, they were punctual, professional, explained all they the work they were going to do, and ensured that the work was to my satisfaction. They were careful to keep disruption of my schedule to a minimum. The work was done to high standard and was actually completed ahead of schedule. I was very pleased and would recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Several areas of drywall had been damaged, stained, cracked, and generally deteriorated over about 20 years. Also, a DIY attempt at minor plumbing repair in a bathtub had resulted in pipe and tile damage beyond my ability to deal with. Drywall work was necessary in just about every room in the house, ranging from cutting out and replacing sections to repainting. The overall condition of the bathtub was such that replacing the tub and surrounding tile was appropriate because the work needed to repair the damage was going to be fairly extensive anyway. New plumbing, new tub, new drywall (to code), and new tile were all installed.

+ 2 moreI called Mesa based on positive Angie's List comments and listing in the NARI guide. An appointment was made for an estimate, which was kept punctually. The rep was professional and knowledgeable. He explained how the work would be done and laid out options for the materials to be used. Work began right on time and progressed according to plan. The work crew was courteous and professional and took pains to ensure that the areas they traversed and worked in were left clean at the end of each day. The same rep who made the estimate monitored the work and kept me up to date on its progress. I had a couple of minor concerns during the work, which were taken care of immediately. I am very pleased with the job done. Although this was a rather small project, I was always treated as though it was the most important one on the company's plate. The total experience was very positive and I would not hesitate to use this company again and to recommend it to others.
Description of Work: Replacement of oversized bathtub and ceramic tile surround. Also repair to wall/ceiling water damage in the bathroom. The old tub and surrounding tile was removed, plumbing for the tub replaced, cement board backing for the tile replaced, new tub installed, and new ceramic tile surround emplaced. A section of wall/ceiling junction where tape was pealing away was also repaired and repainted.

+ -1 moreI contacted the Mesa Home Improvement Inc.via email direct from their internet site location. I received a response the next day and met the company represenative the following week. The representative listened and quiered on every aspect of what I wanted done. He carefully reiterated my needs to ensure they were correct. The company representative and owner made a follow-up visit to recheck all the details and do a complete measurement of the rooms. Both were courteous and professional. It took approximately 3 weeks to complete the work. I was notified regularly of the day workhours and kept informed as to the service personnel that would be on site- Demolish team/clean up, wall preparation, tile, electrical work, plumping. I was extremely pleased with all the service personnel. They went to great efforts to cleanup the work area and the exit and entry into the house. The Company representative and owner dropped in several times a week to confer with service personnel and keep me informed. All the teams - general, tile, plumbing, and electrical were customer oriented which I conisdered very important in feeling that my needs were met. Overall I am extremely pleased the job.
Description of Work: Service was a complete remodel of a 2 bathrooms. One bathroom included a demolition of shower/tub wall tile and wall, installation of shower liner, stoop, and mud pan, as a conversion to a full shower stall. This included new wall tile in the shower, glass door, niche, and fixtures. Ceiling heater was installed. The walls in the both bathrooms were stripped of old paint, replaced sheetrock, sealed, textured, and painted. New floor tile, pedestal sinks, toilets and medicine cabinets were installed along with updated electrical outlets.

Description of Work: This company missed the first appointment we made for an estimate. They gave us the highest estimate we received for remodeling our kitchen. I believe the quality of products they suggested we use was very good. We did not use them due to the cost.

+ -1 more.The price was fair but I expected an exceptional job. There were some minor problems as they got paint on my cloth shower curtain. I didn't notice some imperfections in granite top until a couple of months later . Cabinet door does not fit flush as they replaced hardware. I just noticed these things but have not called them about these problems as the last estimate I got from them was extremely high and I can live with these things. You don't always get what you pay for. They covered floors but did not cover item in bathroom as they worked. They were neater than some workers but still not as neat as I thought for the money.
Description of Work: Doggy door in wall. Wrong size Bathroom remodeling. Repaint walls, new mirror, new countertop and sink. Paint cabinet. Remove glass shower door.

+ 7 moreVery unprofessional behavior. i mentioned i was fixing up my parent's house to sell and he showed up with his own realtor who offered to sell the house at 10% commission even after I mentioned my parent's were realtors and I knew about commissions. This was more than 4% over the normal rate.Estimate was way over what I told them I wanted or thought the house was worth. $60,000 on a $130,000 house to paint the interior and exterior, replace the counter tops, carpet, refurbish kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinet, perform some plumbing in the bathroom and clean up the yard. when i stated that was more than i could afford he immediately dropped his price to $40,000.Wow, how could it drop so much so fast.He did not respect the Customer.

+ -1 moreIt took 8 weeks and many phone calls to receive an estimate. Reasons for why it took so long included the hospitalization of a family member (understandable) and a trip to Dallas to see the Cowboys play - sorry Cowboys fans, not so understandable. When we finally received the estimate, it was more than 5 times more expensive than the next bid received. I would prefer that someone who didn't want the work just said so, rather than coming up with outrageously expensive estimates.

Description of Work: On 10/25/11 I left a message that I needed an estimate on a wood floor. On 10/26/11 He called and I explained that this would be through a V.A. Loan and what I needed done. He replied let me have the measurements and I will give you an estimate over the phone. For this type of service why would I even need a contractor?

+ 5 moreThey don’t ask for anything for a quote. They did a good job quoting and being very detailed in the quote. The problem is I am looking at the price point. Somebody else did a little bit better as far as costing. Mesa has a pretty good reputation in the city on being responsible.

+ 8 moreBefore the project, Bill reviews samples of tile, counter-tops, colors, cabinetry, fixtures, etc. I like to do some of my own research, but also feel comfortable discussing his view of different materials, color combinations and what not. The project went smoothly and professionally. The area being remodeled was well isolated by plastic sheets keeping most of the dust created by construction out of the rest of our home. I dropped by a few times during my lunch just to see the progress and work done. Bill's been in the business for a while and knows which subcontractors he trusts for plumbing, tile work, drywall and painting, electrical, etc. I've been impressed with their work, and they are easy to talk to. Bill's foremen are also easy to talk to and not only will let you know what's happening but are receptive to questions and concerns. Bill himself is easy to reach (I've used phone, email and texting) and also receptive to questions and concerns. I've always received quick answers. Bill's foremen do a good job of quality control, but Bill is also very open to comments and requests based on my own review of the work done. We still have a couple rooms that are in line for remodeling. We'll be seeing Bill and his crew next summer!
Description of Work: This was the third remodeling project we've hired Mesa Home Improvement to do. This time we tackled my home office, one bedroom and one full bath (and some adjacent hallway). Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen, family room, utility room and guest bath (3/4 bath). Last year we remodeled our master bedroom and bath. This summer's project included removing carpet in all three rooms and replacing it with tile. The "popcorn" ceilings in all rooms were removed. All walls were textured and re-painted. New baseboards were installed. New lighting fixtures were installed in all rooms along with a new exhaust fan and heater in the bathroom. We did not redesign the bedroom closet; however, did have it re-painted. The bathroom was completely gutted with a new bathtub, wall tile, toilet and cabinet with granite top and bottom mounted sink. The mirror installed was stunning with a frame matching the cabinet wood and style (Bill's idea). We also upgraded the electrical in all three rooms with more up-to-date hardware and additional outlets. I met with Bill Murray (owner of Mesa Home Improvement) to discuss what we wanted. Bill is very good at listening to what we're looking for and making suggestions about what what may not work and what may work better. I've followed most of Bill's suggestions and haven't been disappointed.

+ -1 moreHe didn’t seem interested and then I got a letter later saying he had a bigger job and he wasn’t interested in my little job. He just looked at it but he seemed disinterested; there was no estimate or “we’ll get back to you.” Several of my neighbors have seen my new bathroom and have asked about the guy that did it which shows you that a little job can turn into a big job. He did come out and he was courteous.

+ 6 moreOutstanding professional staff and superb quality of work. The estimate as to how long the repairs were going to take was right on. I recommend Mesa Home Improvement to handle any remodel job. They are absolutely rock solid and totally reliable. This was the second time we have used Mesa Home Improvemnt's services. They completely remodeled our master bath 7 months ago and did a tremendous job. This previous experience is why we waited almost a month for them to handle these flood repairs instead of using some other contarctor.
Description of Work: We had water damage due to a burst water pipe. 2 inches of water in the kitchen, dining roon, laundry room and down the hallway. Mesa Home Improvement moved our furniture, replaced the tile in the kitchen and laundry room. They replaced the parquet floor in the dining room. In all areas were there water was they cut away the bottom 4 inches of dry wall. They treateted the studs and area behind the removed drywall replaced the drywall and repainted all the walls in colors of our choice. Old carpet was removed in 80% of the house and replaced. The counter-top in the kitchen could not be salvaged after removeal so they replaced it with a counter material of our choice. Finally they moved all our furniture back into their proper places.
