+ -1 moreThese guys sell used laptops that should go on the scrap heap. I bought a used laptop, because the one I brought in for repair was more expensive to fix, than getting a used one. Big mistake. Never buy a used laptop. Your better off buying new, and save yourself the headache. I believe I did business with the owner, and he was very arrogant and condescending. He told me you don't need antivirus software if you use Windows XP Home edition. I thought that was a scam to have customers continually bring in their laptops to his store. Laptop City also has several unresolved complaints with the Better Business Bureau, so that's another strike in my book. This business should be called Rip Off city, because that's what it is.
Description of Work: Sold me a used laptop.

+ -1 moreDropped off, signed document stating I understood that I would be charged $80. They did call to tell me it would take longer than expected. Did call me back to inform me that all was lost. Their professionalism was okay but the work was very, very disappointing.
Description of Work: Laptop was damaged beyond repair. Asked Laptop City to try to recover hard drive. Told me it was damaged beyond recovery. Charged me $80 for the diagnostic. Took the hard drive to my brother-in-law who is a computer tech and he was able to recover all the information on the HD in about 24 hours. He was surprised at Laptop's inability to recover as he said is very basic.
