I hired H.R. Contracting and very happy with work accomplishment!! Excellent personality and great communicative skill to make sure the customer gets the proper advice and service. Would recommend to other customers who are in the planning stage! Would highly recommend to all who want a quality professional construction project completed per code.

Hector and his team did a great job on our garage conversion. He made several recommendations and the price was great.

Be sure to ask HOW BUSY their workload is when considering for your project. I believe we must have hired in the middle of a very busy time for this contractor and that may have caused some delay in our bathroom conversion project. All in all, we are basically satisfied with the job.

Remodeling a bathroom with closet and building a covered back patio was suppose to take 3 weeks turned out to be 6 weeks. The contractor, Hector, does not have any people that work for him. He subcontracts everything unless he can't find anyone then he jumps in and does it himself. We were very disappointed that we had to wait days for the work to continue because he couldn't get subcontractors. He told us that he had painters, roofers, electricians, plumbers, etc at his disposal which turned out to be untrue. His contract was very general and he charged extra for things we thought were part of the actual work. His response was "It's not on the contract." He didn't finish the patio because he wanted more money to cover the columns which he said were not on the contract. The back doors were to be replaced but we decided to replace them ourselves. According to Hector, we were only allowed to choose color. He selected a cheaper door but was still going to charge contract price. Bathroom turned out very nice, which is why I gave 1 star, but wall where the old vanity existed was not finished properly. We paid extra for the closet to be painted and a shelf modified. Bath fixtures were extra too. Wall in closet was not finished properly where the shelf was removed. Other items that should have been fixed/replaced weren't. The rolled patio roof was lifting and there was no felt roof underlayment installed under rolled roof. This happened not even a week after the work was completed. We hired a roofer to re-do the roof. The electrical wiring for the outside ceiling fans caused a short and was triggering the breaker. We called an electrician to fix the problem. We could have called Hector since we had a 1 year warranty (which he was reluctant to give in writing. Said his word should be sufficient and would give 2 year warranty if he didn't put it in writing). No, I would rather pay to have "peace of mind." There is so much more but too much to write. This was the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor.

Made our patio enclosure and it turned out really nice.

Didn't do the caulking. Didn't supply a Dog Door I had to buy and have that reimbursed. Did work quickly which I liked but I had to finish this job myself.

Great service and knowledge. He saved me from myself during the project. I trusted in him and his expertise. In the end our ideas merged and the project came out awesome...

Was impressed with finished product

Hector worked on 6 projects on my home -- from small to large -- over a 4 week period, and I was pleased with the end results. Hector is a detail-oriented person, and he provided additional ideas/options, which made more sense than some of my original ideas. His team is very trustworthy, respectful, and professional. I would recommend keeping tabs on the progress of projects, as messages do get misinterpreted; however, a huge positive is that Hector will stop all work and make the necessary corrections immediately without losing his cool. Hector will not ask for the final payment until you are 100% satisfied with the outcome -- he will fix even the smallest of items. His prices are fair, and I would highly recommend him. I will definitely hire him again on future projects.

Mr. Bernal took the time to listen to what I wanted done and was very helpful with suggestions. His team worked long and hard to get the job done and did an excellent job. They were very professional and polite. The also did a great job of cleaning up after the job was done. I would highly recommend them.

He took the time to listen to what we wanted and the result was even more amazing that we imagined. The project was finished in a timely manner and my house was never left messy at the end of the day. He was accessible or present throughout the entire process. The job was not completed on time, but he went above and beyond making sure we were pleased with the finished job. I now have the kitchen I have wanted for years thanks to his work. I also have two windows on either side of my front door, I have tried for eight years to find a company to replace them. He replaced them with out any problem.
