He held my backyard hostage for over 30 days... The sprinkler system he installed was faulty and leaked immidiately. He broke concrete to install the valves and replaced the concrete with uneven and awful quality concrete. The valve he ran off of my faucet in the backyard leaked and he was notified and said he would fix it multiple times. His fix was to silicone it and hide it. It is still leaking today. I am unable to use the sprinkler system due to shoddy worksmanship. He finally quit answering the phone and never came back to fix this awful job. He claims to be a Marine veteran, I am an Army veteran... How could he take my money and run. Please never let him do work at your home.. Learn from my mistake. He is a thief and needs to be behind bars for knowingly misleading his customers by claiming he has a license and is insured and bonded. He opperates under multiple business names. I hired him, he was working under the name MH Construction. Also, about a week after he quit working, the business that he "purchased" sod from came to my front door claiming he told them I would pay him for the sod, after he wrote a bad check. The sod company was understanding and gave me his contact info, Manny refused to answer the sod guys phone calls too. Please never work with him. He had his dad work for/with him and another worker. AWFUL!!!! PLEASE AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH!!!!

Although we had him quote multiple jobs we were a little hesitant we gave him a smaller job to see what kind of quality he produced on interior trim work and it ended up being a good call to not trust the company with more extensive projects, nevertheless we got burned. We were very patient with the extensive delays (going on two weeks for what was told would be a few day job), we were even patient with the unattractive work, mostly because his one guy that actually did the work was a nice person and they seemed to be trying to make it better. On a daily basis we found cigarette butts, nails and screws in the driveway and we cleaned it up without making a fuss. They got dark brown stain on our stone floors and walls and made no effort to clean it up when it might have come off easily. I overheard one conversation between the employee who did 95% of the work regarding his dissatisfaction of the work yet the owner was indifferent to the very poor quality. Also once when the employee asked if he should cover up an area with plastic before sanding the owner told him no, the employee insisted that it would only take a minute and the owner dismissed it - probably because he knew that he was going to abandon the job imminently. We have experience doing this kind of work ourselves and offered him suggestions that might make things easier or better, he went with a plan that ended up damaging our brand new skylights and voiding the warranty on our new roof. It was fairly clear to us early on that they had no experience with this type of job, yet if you ask him if he can do this job or has experience with that the answer is always "definitely" . He said "definitely" and "most definitely" so much that it began to make me wary. Even with all of this had he been honest with us that he was in over his head we could have worked something out, instead, he packed up, tried to take a copy of his contract so we would have no evidence of his obligation and went for a lunch break and never came back, of course this also means he left with our initial deposit along with a few of our tools. He did not have the integrity to return our calls or face us on any of the damage that he had caused, he has tried to prevent owning up to the situation by blocking our phone number. He claims that his work is warrantied and that satisfaction is guaranteed but that is just one of many falsities that we have encountered with MH Construction.
