Hugo Martinez and his wife Valerie Martinez stole $87,000 from my 75 yr old mother. He was hired to do a renovation with an add-on room, bathroom and kitchen remodel. He did demo and kept giving my mom these sap stories on why she needed to release more money and why the job couldn’t get completed on time. Ultimately no work was ever completed. He left my mother’s home unlivable. It had more value before Hugo ruined it. It was at least livable before we handed over to Hugo. We currently have a lawsuit against him and I have been in contact with multiple other victim. The police are aware and he is under investigation. Whatever you do NEVER HIRE THIS MAN!!!

I gave down a payment for repairs with invoice #787686 if $500 ad I gave Hugo Martinez a down payment for refrigeration units with 5 checks of a total of $3,200. After he received the money, he promised he would install the units on March 1st, 2021 but did not showed up that day. The following week he kept saying he'd come with my units and putting excuses why he did not come. Previously to this for my tile and baseboard installation, he sent over unspecialized people who did a poor and incomplete job and said he'd take responsibility of it but nothing was done of this. I have called him and sent texts to him and emails to check on the status of the units and installation but he either gave excuses he was working on it or did not answer. I received invoices of this work from two different companies, one with the name H & E Handyman services and the other with WOLFPACK Repairs, Renovation and Fabrication. I also spoke to his wife Valeria and went over to their address, 12344 Tierra Volcan and she claimed she was not aware of this issue and as the owner of WOLFPACK would resolve the issue with Hugo. On March 16th, 2021, I spoke with Valeria and she said that my units were ordered, although at first Hugo had said he already had them, but that they would be arriving March the 19th, 2021. In resume I gave Hugo Martinez 5 checks with a total of $3,200.00 for the tile and baseboard installation of my mom’s house, the two 5 tons refrigeration units, plus two coils and one gas furnace(that he sold to me along the units) plus the materials and the installation of these. And as of today March 27th, 2021, I have not received any units or my money back, and the first job of tile and baseboard installation was poorly done and incomplete. BE AWARE!! H & E Handyman Services or WOLFPACK Repairs, Renovation and Fabrication companies do not comply with contract and agreements. These two companies took my money and have not yet responded to my many requests to return the money paid or give my units and equipment bought. Hugo Martinez and wife Valeria have continually lied to me. I have texts and emails that they have promised to deliver the units and then the next day, and the next day again. But nothing happens, neither my units are delivered, the tile job done or my money is returned. CUSTOMERS, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS BUSINESS, AND IF YOU HIRE DO NOT GIVE ANY DOWNPAYMENTS BEFORE A JOB IS DONE.

He said that he would start on March 1st and he did not come. I went to their place and I saw his wife. The address was their home address. They have 2 company names. H and E handyman and wolf tack repairs, renovation, and fabrication. I paid them but they did not do the work. He did not bring the AC unit and he did not do the tile. He supposed to bring 2 AC unit 5 tons, coil, and gas furnace.

H and E installed my refrigeration in my house 4 years ago, and I have not had any problems with it at all. They were extremely professional and they began and finished the job in a timely manner. Since then I have hired them for various projects in my home that vary from installing my wood fencing in my back yard, put cement in the back yard, plumbing work done around the house, fixed my refrigerator which by the way works great right after they came. I am a single mom which I am extremely cautious about who enters my home and I trust H and E whole heartily. Which is the reason why I have recommended them to friends and family in need of any projects done in their home.

Initial refrigerator work took Hugo 3 attempts in which he said this would work. Initially he replaced a convertor (which I had to pay shipping for delivery and return as he did not correctly diagnose) and fridge still didn't cool. Came a second time where he replaced the motherboard and didn't work. Third time he brought a friend whom he said was a pro and all the fridge needed was coolant and wanted to charge me extra $75 for his buddy since he couldn't fix work he said he knew. Fridge he never fixed and deposit on Sheetrock work came out to $319.34 (not to mentioned wasted work days and $45 in shipping for parts) which he assured me he would refund. Every time I called for my refund he said he was working on getting the money, sounded as if he spent deposit money for no work or materials purchased? Second he was having bank trouble and depositing the money was not working? After 9/6/19, two whole weeks after initial payment was done he stopped responding. Ironically, one thing he emphasized when I initially met him was how he was such an honest individual and he would never burn anyone because so many other contractors have burned people and he was not like that. Regardless, I put together a police report so he does not do it again and make someone else go through what I went through. Be weary with working with this individual, if he is willing to steal money, your personal items at home aren't safe either.
