I used APS for six years. At the beginning, things seemed to go alright, although I am not an expert on outdoor pools. Over the years, I repeatedly had to ask for credits on bills for worked that was never performed or (if you believe them) work that was performed, but was so shoddy that you couldn't tell the pool had been cleaned. I finally had had enough and cancelled my account with them. They continued to claim credit for work that was never performed. My warning is simple. They do not do the work in a professional manner and then will argue with you about whether people actually did the work or whether it was done well. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Well, ..... maybe my WORST enemy!

Being new spa owners we had many questions and Louie was available to answer most of our questions. Our project took longer because we decided to contract the electrical, cement /landscaping work on our own instead of using those recommended by Able. We found that the companies that have worked with Able in the past were more expensive and not able to do what we wanted as already mentioned, we were having major landscaping done. The delivery of the spa was a bit scary as it was lifted over the house by a crane...it was windy that morning; but all went well. Nick took me through the steps on how to fill the spa and he put in the initial chemicals from a starter chemical kit. He told me to take a water sample to the store in about three days. The only problem we had was that we were not told that the manual for the spa was behind the panels. It wasn't handed to me when it was delivered and it was not seen when the electricians connected the spa. I made a call to Able and was told where it was. I had to remove the panels off one end and both corners to get the manual. I was unable to replace the panels by myself and by the time my husband came home it was too dark. The next morning we tried to get those panels back on; but we were not successful. We went to Able and they were able to have Nick come out and put the panels back. He had them back on in no time. We took our first water sample in to Able 3 days after installation; but there was something wrong with their computer so we did get a report right away. It was faxed to my husband at work with printed instructions of what to do to get the water balanced. It was a little complicated being first time spa owners and by the time husband got home and we got to Able's the store was closed. We ended up going elsewhere to get some help and questions answered. The spa started making a grinding noise coming from the skimmer a few days later so I called Able to have someone come out to take a look. A service man came by the next business day. It was an easy fix...needed more water. The service man was very pleasant and informative. He told me that Able wanted to keep their customers coming back for supplies and chemicals. I told him about our first water test and he told me that problem had been fixed. He also told me that Able had started a new service of making a house call for follow up on all spa purchases to go over spa maintenance and chemical schedule. He told me that someone would be giving us a call to set up a convenient time for an appointment. It has been almost 4 weeks and we are still waiting. We are very pleased with the outcome of our project and love our spa in our new surroundings. We still have lots to do yet with planting and design. Here are the companies we used. I have written reviews for each one. They all received A+. 1. The pergola was first and that work was done by Stenner Pergola 2. Alpine Electric did all of the electrical work 3. Ramirez Lawn Maintenance Service did the cement work and landscaping design
Description of Work: We purchased our spa on 11/04/2012 with a 10% down payment and an understanding that the balance would be paid once the refinancing on our home was completed. This was done on 12/11/12. In the meantime we were busy getting things ready for the installation which included electrical work and, of course, the pouring of the slab for the spa. We decided to proceed with extensive landscaping with a pergola, a fire pit, and walkways so this initial planing took a little longer than just installing the spa. The spa was finally installed on 01/11/12. Able Pool worked with us on our time table and stayed in touch us throughout the entire process.
