5 Points Plumbing

This was an emergency as water was leaking out from under the garage door, down the driveway and into the street! This was mid afternoon. I didn't know where the leak was coming from; but if seemed to be where the washer was. I thought maybe a pipe had broken; but that didn't make sense since the washer hadn't been used in 2 days. I immediately researched Angie's list and chose 5 Points due to the A rating and so many positive reviews. Let me just say this, we live in New Mexico...just over the state line so a lot of providers were unable to perform the work. I called 5 Points and talked to Carlos. I explained my problem and he said he could out in the morning; but he also said that if it got worse to call him back and he would come out to see what could be done temporarily. When my husband came home from work, he saw that it the hot water heater. I immediately called Carlos back and told him that it was the hot water heater. He asked me to take pictures of the hot water heater and to get measurements of the heater and the closet. My husband talked with him about what kind of water heater to get. My husband had already turned the water off to the heater so at least it wouldn't keep leaking. I received a call at 0840 the next morning and 2 workers showed up 40 minutes later. They attached a hose to the old heater to completely drain the water out...they drained it out to a tree in the front yard. That impressed me. I know it is a little thing; but that still impressed me. Waste not, want not. The new water was installed quickly and the old one hauled out. I was very happy and pleased. The total cost was $825.00. The cost of the new hot water heater (40 gal, energy efficient State Select, and parts was $328.00. That leaves $497 for service, incidental supplies and taxes. Since this more or less an emergency, I did not "shop around". Also, we bought the water heater sight unseen. It was purchased from a distributor where we couldn't have bought one anyway. So I'm thinking that we got a good water heater at a much less cost than what we could have gotten elsewhere. The cost of the service may seem a little high; but we are happy. We had a new hot water heater in less than 24 hours, Carlos was most responsive in getting back with me and selecting a new water heater that would meet our needs. The workers were pleasant, friendly and professional in both appearance and in their work. My only recommendation would be to have been given basic maintenance instructions that should be done in order to extend the life of the water heater. I found the information in the booklet left on the new water heater. Our old water heater was 18 years old. We lived here 6 years and did no maintenance work at all. We are planning on updating both our kitchen and bathroom in the next 18mo. You can bet that we will be calling Carlos and 5 points for that job. Research done!!!

these guys are the best I've ever used. Instead of just, taking the cover off, turning on the water and blowing out the evap cooler, these guys took it apart, the the vacuumed it, oiled all the moving parts, washed the thick pads , reassembled the cooler, tested it and finished everything in about an hour or less. Awesome!

Set up an appointment to get a quote and was a no show. No call back. Called him, no answer

It went very well. A two-man crew came out, inspected and fixed the problem, which was a broken PVC pipe. They offered to replace it, but I just wanted a quick fix- they installed a shut-off valve for the particular zone of the irrigation system and stopped the leak. Very professional and friendly. I've used them before for a complete replacement of my plumbing and I would use them again.

I spent $50 to $55 . They did the job.

They arrived on time, did the work, and cleaned up in one day. I was very satisfied with the result. Some of the sink faucet surfaces and drain holes were very corroded with accumulated hard water deposits . Unexpected problems, like a rusted water line not in the original estimate, were dealt with quickly without problem. I would hire them again.

They responded promptly and emailed a written estimate within two hours. I ultimately used a different plumber who offered a slightly better rate. 5 Points was prompt and easy to reach and communicate with. I would not object to using their services.

Outstanding work from start to finish....good price!

I called Carlos the night before when I discovered the problem. He told me he would call the next morning and let me know when he would have someone out. The crew was here about 9:00 AM and left about 10:45..

This service was fantastic. Other estimates for this work was between 1500.00 to 2500.00. 5 Points only charged 565.00, showed up on time and performed the work in a professional way.

We did not really know what to expect since the drain from our kitchen sink is in line with the drain from our washing machine. Our house was built in 1960 and apparently, rather than open the pipe at the source of the blockage since the access was rusted shut, they had to climb the roof and snake it clean from that access point. No overflow since. Can't complain, and did appreciate that we were being told what was going on throughout the process.

They were very efficient and installed the water heater in a very timely manner. After installation we are still working with the unit due the water pressure. However, everything seems to be working okay with the water heater.

The owner of business was very informative and efficient.

Hired Mr. Lugo to install faucets in the lavatory and replace an outdoor spigot. After paying him for the work, I noticed a day later that the outdoor spigot was still leaking and noticed that a rusted coupling which should have been replaced to install the new spigot had been left as is. I called Mr. Lugo to report the leaking spigot and he said he would get back in touch with me. Haven't heard from him since.

My water heater started leaking in the middle of the night. I looked up 5 Points Plumbing on Angieslist the next morning and called them. That same morning they came out, gave me an estimate, and completed the work. They replaced the water heater and the old lines to and from it. They were very careful to cover the carpet to keep it clean where they were working. They never rushed through anything, constantly checked everything they did, answered all my questions as I watched them, and never wasted any time. They were very friendly and very professional. I never expected to actually get the work done the same day! I highly recommend 5 Points Plumbing and I will definitely call them again for any of my plumbing needs.

Called them to fix a leaky shower. They were on time and performed the work to our satisfaction.

The project was completed within a few days just as he stated.
