Campos Granite

Never use these guys! There are MULTIPLE problems with my countertops. The installers never mentioned that 2cm granite needs to be installed over a plywood support; they just laid mine over the tops of the cabinets with a dab of construction adhesive. Right now I'm consulting with some competent professionals to see if they need to be pulled out and reinstalled. They also left a 12" overhang granite bar inadequately supported. They told me that I could just go buy the right corbels at Home Depot -- but when (of course) Home Depot didn't have the right ones, they didn't return my calls. My contractor said that he'd used Campos before and that "you can't even see the seams." Nonsense. I can see every single seam in the granite. In fact, there are even some places I'd describe as splotched. Most of the corners look like they were made entirely out of epoxy. There's even a ballpoint pen mark on one they mismeasured. He didn't mention anything about sealing the countertops -- although the first time I put a wet sponge on the granite I got a water spot. And finally -- this is the least of it -- he was never there when he said he was going to be and always in a rush when he did finally arrive. He was cheap -- I'll give him that. But you get what you pay for.
