Called got a perplexing answer and the next day the work was completed. No leaks 6 months later so the workmanship was excellent.

+ -1 moreReceived quotes from other roofers,- chose Martin Roofing because of prior Angie List recommendations and being a GAF certified roofer. Job went smoothly, crew efficient and well organized. Work was exceeded normal standards for roofers see below. Without any prompting by me, some of the extra quality steps taken included the following: 1. Using (per Florida Building Code standards), four nails per shingle installed by manually driving the nails using a hammer. 2. Installing metal flashing in the valleys, and replacing the existing flashing. 3. Using waterproof membrane material around roof jacks, chimney, roof vents and skylight, to prevent future leaks. 4. Replacing the decking around some areas that had some minor damage. Most roofing crews would have shingled over these areas without making repairs. 5. Using lead roof jacks instead of the plastic ones found in most homes. Because of the items listed above, I would recommend Martin Roofing to anyone without hesitation. 1/2014 I had a draft coming from a skylight that Martin Roofing installed last year. I called and they sent a crew to fix the air leak in an expedient manner. I can say they stand behind their work.!

+ -1 moreHe was so easy to deal with. Explained everything very well and brought samples to choose from. They came out the house to install roof and were here until dark. They finished the roof in 1 day and cleaned everything up really good there wasn't any nails left on the ground. I thought they were just fabulous. He called me when the materials were to be delivered. They didn't even tear up any of my bushes. I would recommend him to everyone.

+ 0 moreI personally worked with Ryan with Martin Roofing. Ryan was the quickest to respond to my request for quotes, and the quote was very competitively priced. In addition, Martin Roofing did not try to up sell me for services that I did not want or need. While the work was performed I was kept well informed. Although a couple of concerns did arise during the install, Ryan made me aware of the situation, and we resolved it in a very timely manner. Ryan also followed up to make sure that the work was completed properly, and the site was properly cleaned up. My experience with Martin Roofing was very pleasant, and I will not hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: My rental property received damage from the hail storm that recently went through this area, and required replacement. Martin roofing replaced the roof and gutters across the front, as well making repairs to decking as needed.

Description of Work: No services performed. I have a visibly hail-damaged roof, and have filed a claim with my insurance company. This particular insurer sets extremely high hurdles on roof replacement, and I needed the professional backing & opinion of a reputable roofing contractor. I practically threw a complete roof repair job at this guy, and he casually tossed it back, saying that I "might get lucky, depending on your inspector", but he wouldn't stand behind my insurance claim, although he acknowledged that the damage is "borderline" ?? He then said what I actually needed were misc repairs, and that he could do whatever I wanted, but cautioned me about the 1% deductible on my HO policy. Feeling confused, I told him I would think it over, and give him a call with my answer. The following week, I called him back, asking him to schedule the repairs he considered necessary, and please come repair my roof. He promised to review his schedule and give me a call. Never heard from him again. So, what to deduce from this...? 1) He does not support his clients in insurance matters.2) Unless it's a total roof repair, forget about a call back. However.....3) If you call him back, be prepared for a hassle with your insurance adjuster, w/o any support from this guy. If this is "excellence", I'll pass.

He did a phenomenal job; my roof is the nicest roof on the block/in the neighborhood. It is a high-end roof. If I had to replace my roof again, I would use him.
Description of Work: I used Martin Roofing to get my roof done. He also added solar-powered turbines. When there was a hailstorm, he came out to check to make sure that it was not damaged.

+ -1 moreHe came over immediately when I called. I had a leak in my living room. He realized what it was and he fixed that. He removed some dabree from the dead space on the roof. He determined I did not have any roof damage but my mortar was failing so I needed to contact someone about that. They are outstanding. I would use him if I had damage to my roof.

+ -1 moreReceived three bids for my roof replacement. Martin roofing was the most knowledgable and offered the most information about the roof replacement. Dean personally came by for the bid and during the install. Martin roof went above and beyond during my roof replacement. The corrected problems with the roof that existed during the original house build. For example, the holes for the vents were knocked out with a hammer rather than cut out by a saw. When we had the roof replaced prior the holes were patched over with metal. When Martin roofing replaced the roof, they spend the time to replace the deck and do the correct repair. They also corrected the air flow by removing air vent next to the powered vents. I would highly recommend Martin Roofing for anyone who is looking for a professional roofing company you can depend on.

+ -1 moreRudy, the rep from Martin Roofing, did the work over two days. He was prompt, courteous, and responsive to questions. We discussed what needed to be done to replace, paint and re-caulk existing vents on our 12-year old roof. . He described the work in detail and provided the likely cost. When Rudy completed the work he indicated that the plastic vent boots were cracking and falling apart. He explained that it would be best to replace them with lead boots which would last much longer and could be painted to match the other vents. He contacted his office and then gave me the additional cost for that specific work. I agreed and he came back that evening to begin that work and completed it the next morning. In addition to replacing the boots he had to replace about three shingles for each of the 5 vents and then spray paint the new boots. He completed the work, cleaned up, notified me and then we inspected the results. Rudy was very professional. He contacted me when necessary to make sure I knew what he was doing. All in all, it was a good experience. We will definitely use Martin Roofing for future roofing needs.

Description of Work: Needing an estimate to find and repair a leaking roof, Mr. Martin came over within the day I called and had the leak located and fixed within 24 hours. + -1 moreThe above work was completed in less than two days. Crew was polite and knowledgeble. Only complaint was the guy that threw his egg shell bits and banana peel on our lawn when he ate lunch. GAF provided lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Labor to repair and replace material is included in warranty. Warranty is transferable one time. The reduction in our annual house insurance will pay for the additional cost of the class IV shingles in a little under three years.
Description of Work: Remove and dispose of 28 year old composition roofing material, repair damaged faschia, install 30 pound felt, install 20" galvanized valley metal, install metal edging, install GAF Armor Shield class 4 shingles, install ridge vent ventilation, install new lead boot jacks, and paint roof jacks. Clean up and haul away all debris, and run a magnetic roller through the yard to pick up nails.
