This contractor arrived on time and went directly to work on my bathtub and didn't waste any time but worked straight thru in orderto finish in time for me to leave for my job. His work was good, the price was the best of several quotes I obtained and he issueda good warranty contingent on the need of such. I would use him again if the need came up and I would recommend him to anyone needing the services he provides

Right after Christmas, I called American Porcelain and asked them to come to refinish two tubs. I had used a do-it-yourself kit on one of the two tubs, twice and both efforts were disasters. So AP had to get rid of my layers and then do theirs. AP does free estimates, but the previous reports on Angie's List were so good that I decided to just have them come by and do the work. They quoted me 500.00 (removing the old stuff was extra because it was more more work for AP). I told them that a previous report said they had done two tubs for 400.00 awhile back so we renegotiated to 450.00. On the day he was scheduled to come, there was an ice-storm. He planned on coming. I told him to reschedule 'cause nothing was important about a bathtub compared to a life lost on the ice. We rescheduled for about two days later. He was promptly on time. Sweet guy. I think I even left the house for an hour or so to go to the post office. No mess left. Gave him an M&M bag of candy for his kid from candy I had leftover from Xmas. Two months later, my husband was adding a towel rack, within the tub area, on the tiled wall. Dropped it. Two nicks. Called. Estimate over phone was 75.00. I said no hurry. Come out when you are in the area. He called the next day; he was doing an estimate near us. He came on time. Looked at the nicks. Said he figured the damage was a lot worse from the phone call. He painted over them by hand, didn't charge me anything, and was done in fifteen minutes.

Tub is not smooth. He ran out of caulk and borrowed some I had. This would not have bothered me, except he took mine with him when he left. If I could do it over, I would be willing to pay more for a smooth finish...

They did a great job. They were very polite and professional on the phone and explained the whole process to me patiently. I scheduled an appointment about a week an advance and they arrived on time. They told me they have a two year unconditional warranty, which was a great selling point. I haven't had the need to use the warranty, but feel comfortable that there is one.

The service guy resurfaced 2 bathubs back in November, and one of them had a problem. He came back and corrected the problem. He was very polite and explained what could have caused the problem.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB ON MY BATH TUB, BUT THEY TOOK A LONG TIME TO DO IT. IT WAS FIVE DAYS LONGER THEN ESTIMATED. THEY WERE NICE ENOUGH, BUT A LITTLE UNPROFESSIONAL.

COMPANY DID AN EXCELLANT JOB AND WAS VERY RESPONSIVE. I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND ALSO RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
