Sticks and Stones came for initial meeting to discuss the potential project. They were not prepared to have a detailed conversation nor take measurements that day. They were supposed to come back in a few days to take measurements, but we never heard from Sticks and Stones again. They never returned phone calls after the initial visit.

Sticks and Stones Construction came out and did a quote but we decided to use somebody else. We liked them a lot. We hired the other guy just because we could start the next day. They were really nice young people and they were qualified like the other guy who was closer to us and could start right away. We wanted to pull out the old rock and put new stone on the fire place. Take out a pulley wall of rock and leave that out and wrap two support beams that were vertical around the bottom with the finch that was on the fire place. I think the quote was reasonable.

We can't say enough good things about the experience that we had with Arlie Whatley of Sticks and Stones. We have done many building and design projects and this was by far our most pleasant experience. He built a backyard casita and tied it to our existing house with stone walkways, pergoa and landscaping. He had great design ideas inside and out. He has an in-house interior design expert that complements his creativity and design. He stayed in contact through out the 3 month job, letting us know what was done each week and what would be coming the next. He was not only professional but took time to attend to every detail. He kept the area picked up and clean at the end of each day and insured honest and quality workers on his crew. Arlie's integrity and work ethic are to be commended. We would use Arlie to do ANY project that we could find for him and look forward to showing off his work.

The owner came as agreed to have a look at my garden and discuss the work I wanted. Its a pretty big job : Building a cabana, outdoor kitchen, paving work, firepit and landscaping. Very nice chap - seemed very enthuastic and had good ideas. Good reviews on various sites. That was 8 weeks ago and I never heard back ! No estimate, no follow up, nothing. Moving on...!
