I had external lights added to my backyard. The lights were added to eves of my roof. I rate quality "C" because the light mounts were not securely attached to the cement board. I had to remove the light mounts, install screw clamps in the board, and reinstall the mounts. Also, the mounts were not positioned/clocked correctly.

The technician was polite and courteous; the work was great.

The company charges a service charge of $49 to visit and diagnose the problem. The electrician gave me an estimate of approximately $115 + the service charge to replace the switches & plugs in the room and fix the breaker box. He completed that work and the power was working and the lights were not dimming in that room. Now, this is what impressed me in a big way. He stated that he was pretty sure that the problem was fixed but he was not 100 % sure. Because he wasn't 100 % sure the problem was fixed he only charged me for the service call!! It has been 2 weeks since the repairs were made and the dimming lights & power outage has not returned. I only wish Doctors and Lawyers would treat their customers this way. Great company- Very good work.

Jimmy and his crew did an excellent job. They hand-trenched for the new service conduit - more labor than using a ditch-witch, but safer for any other underground utilities. They remained professional despite issues with the supply house giving bad parts and Centerpoint delaying the process. You can tell a true professional by how they deal with difficulties. I recommend them highly.

Service provider arrived at the scheduled time and was friendly, courteous and professional. He installed and fixed everything that I needed done. He did provide a quote before beginning service. This was a small job and he completed it all within about an hour. While I am sure that some people could have done these installations/fixes themselves, I am not one of those people and I will gladly pay a professional to do this for me. I would definitely use this company again.

This is the second time I have used Prolectric within the past couple of months. We are renovating our home and bringing it up to date. The owner, Jimmy, is very likeable and the crew is very professional and understanding about what you are trying to accomplish. I will hire them again.

They did a super job for much less than all of their competitors. They were professional guys that worked hard. They showed up on time and did a really good job. They lived up to my expectations.

Everything was fixed perfectly. The work even fixed the little shaking in my ceiling fan.

The company was very responsive, and Jimmy Bankston, the owner, went out of his way to try to accommodate me. I have used a lot of other companies for services and have never had one that responded as well as Prolectric.

I had an old 150 amp Federal service panel and replaced it with a 200 amp GE service panel. When the owner came out to give me the estimate, I had requested that the new panel be brought up to current electrical codes. (arc fault breakers for the living areas and GFCI breakers for any other required rooms) I live outside the city limits, so no electrical permit was required.( I would have no one to check the work. These requirements were clearly made to the owner who gave the estimate. After the new panel was installed,(1 week later) I noticed that no arc fault breakers were installed nor were any GFCI breakers. The person who was doing the work told me that my home was "grand-fathered" and did not require these upgrades. I went to look at my written estimate, and sure enough, no mention of the specialty breakers was on the written estimate. My only other concern was the fact that when they put in the new service panel, one circuit was too short to reach the new panel location so it had to be cut and an extension was added to allow the wire to reach the new breaker. When this was done, one of those blue plastic switch boxes was used instead of a metal box for interior wall locations. (for the splice) I was not going to mention the wire extension box here, because ProLectric had sent me a survey to fill out and I had mentioned it to them on it. I was hoping to get a phone call or something either way to the answer to my question, but as of this writing, I have not. I cannot say I would not use them again, but I would have to insist that the owner come back out and re-write the estimate with more detail on the other estimate I received from him for another job.

On time, called before showing up, even in the rain. Efficient and it took no time to take down and install new lights.

Prolectric serviceman Josh was on time and friendly. He went outside to check the breaker box and then went inside to the guest bedroom to check out the outlets. I had no elctrical outlets in the guest bedroom that would work and no lighting and no oulets in the guest bathroom working and my light for the entry to the home was not working. After a few minutes he was able to trouble shoot the problem and found that one outlet in the guest bedroom had to be replaced and the wiring also. After replacing the outlet I had lights and outlets working again in the guest bedroom, bathrrom and entry way to my home. He explained what he had to do and the cost before performing any work. I would recommend Proelectric to anyone needing elctrical repair. I only paid for what I needed to have done to fix the problem. The cost was fair, the service was excellent . Thank you Prolectric. Pro Electric is a wonderful company from the first phone call to the completion of the service requested. I joined Angie's List because I have such a problem finding good Galveston contractors. All my future electric needs will be serviced by Pro Electric!

It went very well. The men were very professional and nice, and they checked the wall socket where the lamp had been plugged in. They checked everything in the house and also outside including the breaker box. They did a very good job and I will use them again.

I called to schedule an appointment at 9:00 in the morning. The job was completed by 1:00 in the afternoon. From scheduling the appointment to the job itself, I am extremely satisfied. Both technicians were professional and did a great job. Didn't have to ask them to clean up after the job. I would definitely recommend Prolectric.

They set up estimate appt. for the day following my call. They arrived on time, and called prior to their arrival. While getting estimate, they listened to my needs and made recommendations. They were polite, pleasant, neat, and professional. No hard sell. After agreeing to have them do the work, they scheduled it within two days. They arrived on time. Throughout the time they were here, they were pleasant, professional and clearly knew their job. They did clean, neat, aesthetically pleasing work, leaving no mess for me to clean up after they were here. The results of their work was superb; worth every cent. They gave me exactly what I wanted. I will use their services again, and highly recommend them to others. They were professional in every way.

Technician was very thurough in finding the problem. I didn't think it was possibe but the technician assured me he could. He had to pull out some boards in the attic to find an exposed hot wire. I was extremely pleased.

Jimmy showed up on time as he said he would, evaluated the situation and quoted the price for work to be done. Jimmy dispatched his crew who were very professional, very hardworking and knowledgeable about the work they were performing and were willing to answer any questions I had, of which I had several. During the time of the original work being performed, the city inspector found additional problems with the house wiring. Jimmy's crew quoted me a price for the additional work needing to be performed right on the spot and scheduled to come out the next day to complete the additional work. Jimmy himself and one of the other crew members completed the additional work the following day. We were very satisfied with the work done, knowing that Jimmy and his crew are very knowledgeable and skilled at their craft and gave me a sense of security in knowing my electrical work had been performed correctly. I would highly recommend ProLectric to anyone looking to have quality work performed. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I very highly recommend ProLectric because of their professionalism in repairing my kitchen light fixtures and switches. I had originally gotten an estimate for this work from another company and the estimate seemed high, so I asked my air conditioner company (Vanderford Air) for a referrence, and they recommended ProLectric. The ProLectric estimate was much more reasonable. Another advantage of using ProLectric was that the electricians worked around my schedule and could come out the same day I called. They worked quickly and were very professional, and I soon had my lights working again. I will definitely be callingProLectric for my future electrical needs.

After my insurance company told us we needed to have the electrical system in our home checked out by a licensed electrician after the house was struck by lightning, I immediately turned to Angie's List. ProLectric was located in my area and had an overall "A" rating with 59 reviews. They were the first and only company I contacted. Kathy Bankston answered my phone call and was very gracious and helpful. I explained what had happened and what my insurance company was requesting. She told me there was a protocol for checking a home after a lightning strike, which surprised me as I had never really thought about how many homes are actually hit. I called on Tuesday and made arrangements for them to come on Friday morning. Two electricians arrived on Friday morning as scheduled and immediately went to work. I took them through the house and showed where the lightning came in through the plumbing, what electrical or electronic items had been damaged or destroyed and also showed them a GFCI which we were unable to reset after the lightning. They worked alongside our burglar alarm company that was also in the house that day replacing the alarm system which, to use the technical term, was "fried" by the lightning to make sure they didn't interfere with his work. When they checked the faulty GFCI outlet, they called me to take a look. It was not a faulty GFCI, but the wiring was loose and probably had been since the house was built. They explained the potential danger of the problem, corrected the loose wiring and the GFCI checked out. In my experience most companies would have simply replaced the GFCI and charged me for the outlet and additional labor since I believed the outlet to be faulty. I was very impressed that they were so honest and ethical. They completed checking all the outlets, went into the attic to check out the wiring and finally checked the main breaker box. Outside the problematic GFCI, we were fortunate we sustained no damage to our electrical system. When the electricians left everything they had moved to access the outlets was all back in place and you would never know they had been working for several hours. The cost was exactly what was quoted, less my Angie's List coupon. Polite, professional, and above all ethical are all attributes which will have me using ProLectric for all my electrical needs in the future.
