Estimator came out. I had questions which I emailed. Never received a response.

I contacted HHS a few months ago about some Tapco Hurricane Screens for my home. The Owner Frank Came out he next day and provided a quote. Although I Knew they were expensive I wanted a good quality product. Frank Gave me a fair price and I Agreed to the work. About a month later the screens came in and they were installed. The way my house is designed it was a little tricky with some tight spots. Both Frank and Dave Both came out several time during the installation, to make sure that everything went smoothly, and Did not stop until everything was perfect. They sent out their crews several time just to be sure the quality was there. The crew was very professional, and knowledgeable. It appears they are actual employees of the company, and I do not believe they were contractors. This is a great company to deal with. The owners actually care about their product and reputation. They are not the cheapest, but Peace of mind and quality is not cheap.

I have an older brick home with windows that have decorative trim and decorative wooden shutters. Because of the trim and the shutters, I did not like the appearance of rolling shutters on my older home, which has very traditional architecture. Retrofitting this older home became a challenge because I didn't want to remove the existing trim on the windows. In addition, the windows on the second floor are almost impossible to board-up during hurricane season because the windows are so wide and tall that plywood boards are heavy and unwieldy and difficult to handle. The windows on the second floor do not have shutters or trim. Those windows -- and other large windows -- became the focus of my inquiries into storm protection, and I'm very glad that I took the time and made the effort to find the best product. I began a long search and eventually met Brian at HHS. He showed me the many different kinds of products available and suggested that I might like Tapco screens. I LOVE the Tapco screens. They look very much like regular screens that one sees on windows, but the strength of the wire makes the screens able to withstand storm winds. It isn't dark inside the house; in fact, there is little difference in the amount of light that comes into the home. Since the windows face west, I do think that we are getting some sun protection, as well. The screens look really good, and my neighbors like them, too -- a very important point because I didn't want to install anything unsightly or unattractive. We had many challenges retrofitting this older home, and Brian was very conscientious about service and installation. I am very pleased with the product and the service I received. One suggestion that I would make to anyone wanting hurricane protection (shutters) would be to start as early in the season as possible so that your order doesn't have to be placed at the peak of the season. If you place your order at the peak of the season in a city as large as Houston, Texas, you may find that delivery of your product is delayed due to a supplier's fabrication schedules elsewhere.

I got bids from three companies and was sold on HHS after the bidding process. The presentation by Brian Reddick was very professional, informative and he brought samples and brochures, the only company to do so. It made a huge difference to be able to see and feel the materials to make a choice between hurricane protection products. From receiving the bid, to installation of the connectors around windows and doors, to the final delivery of the panels, everyone at HHS was professional and friendly. The work was completed as described and I could not be happier. I can recommend HHS to anyone without reservation.
