Way Construction Services promptly and professionally completed repairs in our home related to damages from an attic HVAC system water leak. Project Manager, Bobby Sutton was excellent at reducing the stress of an otherwise disastrous situation. He worked seamlessly with my insurance company, all the trades and subcontractors. My home was returned to its pre-loss condition on time and on budget. Thanks everyone at Way Construction for the excellent job including drywall, interior painting and flooring.

Description of Work: Due to water damaged caused by a broken pipe in the wall they were to remove bathroom and kitchen flooring, replace bracing under wall and lift and replace damaged sheetrock. New flooring was installed in Bath, kitchen hall and Den. |The damage was initially inspected by the insurance company and the leak was found and recorded by Accu-test. Way was referred to me by the insurance company and they came out to inspect and saw the damaged wood and flooring under the house. They provided a fair estimate and said this should be about 5weeks. 7 weeks into the project and the kitchen floor is slanting and Way provided a bill to the insurance for several bags of float - which was never used (thus the unlevel floor). The damaged flooring under the kitchen from the water leak had not been replaced prior to the new floor installation so that had to be reworked from underneath the house and patched. I don't think that Way was being dishonest, it was just a lack supervision and of communication internally. The job was finally complete in 10wks. Some of the work such as the painting was below standards (primer and paint on the oak crown moulding). There was a lot of glue on the new hardwood floor - where one of the installers stepped in glue and walked around so some of the flooring shows dull areas. We have had to make several small repairs after their work - such as damaged caused to walls and cabinets.

Repairs went well. There were some issues with matching the existing brick due to the fact that it was no longer being made by the manufacturer. Way Construction researched the issue and offered several options to address. Way was very professional in handling the work and responsive to our requests.

Packing/Storing The day after tornado a rep discussed their services. It sounded great but, once packing began that was it. After their packing, we went home to discover the items in the attic were brought down and placed with insulation debris and found other beloning scared through out the house (packing not complete). Way Construction came out again and still left things behind. Aside from this; 2-3 weeks with no response, inventory list provided almost a month later , textiles not cleaned, items not inspected (everything they promised to do during their sales pitch) and ended up with missing items. Of course management ignored the issue but didn't forget to bill. BEWARE when they say we store them in vaults...they mean plywood crates. My husband saw it since our insurance adjuster had to perform an inspection. Construction Beware, They try to push the job and installed a temporary power pole without approval since insurance's scope of work was not even complete. Now, they claim my husband authorized it.
Description of Work: Way packed home content and took to their warehouse for storage.

Description of Work: Fire in my home on 6-3. Way Construction showed up on 6-4 and talked the talk. I had never been thru anything like this before and after speaking with my adjuster, he said it was up to me, so I signed with them later that afternoon. Way rep said that so and so would contact me to get the measurements and to do a quote. That was on a Saturday, by Monday afternoon I had not heard anything and called my adjuster. Way called me tuesday morning, did the estimate and said that I would have it by friday. Tuesday rolled around and still nothing. I called Way and he said he would email me and my adjuster. I never got it, but my adjuster did. He said they were on the high side but it was still my choice. I should have stopped using them after catching them in several lies in just a few days. But I hate having to go thru that as I have 6 dogs and it is a very stressful situation dealing with all of these people.and So then on 6-20 ( over 2 weeks since fire) I text the Way rep and he gave me the run around again. Last night we had a huge storm and the temp repair on the roof from the fire gave loose and now the ceiling in my master bedroom starting falling off from hail and water damage because of sitting for 2 weeks already. My husband called the Way rep and his voice had a voice message saying that he would be out of town until next week. He did not communicate any of this to me. He left antoher rep's name for us to call, called him and tbeing so mad about nothing being done. I called Mooring and they came right out and things are already moving. I will post old him we would not be needing his services, he said "OK" and that was IT.......I could not even sleep last night because of a review on them as things progress. Please be VERY WARY.....thanks

A nightmare from day one. Terrible quality of work. Much work had to be redone at least once and still is not correct. Nothing was done on time. Subs would show up for one day, perform partial work, then disappear for several days to work on other jobs. They stretched a four month job into seven months. Eventually kicked them off job and hired a replacement. Very clear that their only business is reconstruction. Company has zero creative side or any ability to fill that role. If you are looking to remodel and want help with design/decor these are not the people. If it can't be purchased at a Big Box Store then these guys don't know about it. They do not monitor the quality of the work performed by their subs. Project Manger was running many jobs and did not make it by house every day. I found all the problems with the work and had to call PM to get them fixed. Had to complain multiple times for most problems to be fixed. Hired them as they were recommended by insurance company. On a preferred list and can direct bill to insurance w/o me fronting the money. One of the first things they asked was to go off of preferred program and go direct, even though it was not required for all of the work. Note: Ins co pays to restore, but not for changes. So have to go direct for changes, but restoration can stay with direct bill to insurance company. Electrical: Installed wrong light fixtures in ceiling. Said they could not provide some requested light fixtures. I purchased them at a local, well known electrical supply. I provided them with exact specification on TV coax & Ethernet cable and where to pull it. They provided the wrong cable and installed it incorrectly. I had to remove their cable and purchase & pull my own. Sheetrock: Crew cut into ceiling with a SawsAll severing a water pipe. Resulted in further delays to project. Crew incorrectly textured the sheetrock. Texture had to be sanded & re-applied, further delaying the project. Some portions still incorrect. Failed to install insulation on outside walls before hanging sheetrock. Resulted in delays and rework. Crown Molding: Poor quality work. Inability to perform clean cuts and joins. Large gaps where pieces join. Very visible as this is stain grade, not painted. Large portions of this will have to be replaced. Paint: Very poor quality of work. Lazy. Crew lost key from lockbox and left house unlocked over night w/o notifying anybody. Tried to fix themselves instead of calling locksmith. As a result, could not access garage for several days. Painted one room wrong color. Said he couldn't match, so picked one he thought looked good. Asked for OK after the fact. Poor tape lines. Much bleed over from walls/ceiling to crown molding, baseboard, etc. Caulked crown molding / baseboard, but used wrong color. Doesn't match paint, doesn't match stain on wood. Will have to be re-done - by somebody else. Cabinetry: Expecting high-end custom cabinetry. Delivered lower quality than what is in Big Box Stores. Drawers do not open/close correctly. Cheap construction techniques (butt end vs dovetail, 1/4" boards where 3/8" needed). Majority of pieces delivered with wrong measurements. Unacceptable large gaps where cabinets meet each other and wall. Chose cheap wood with poor grain structure. Shelves made with cheap construction techniques. Delivered with chips and peels. Stain applied incorrectly and unevenly. Visible drip lines. I've already hired somebody to tear them out & replace with quality construction. Fireplace: The one part that went well. Mason did a very good job with bricks, both inside and out. Had to install new vent on outside. Cannot tell where old vent was located. Matched the look & feel of old concrete between bricks. Plumbing: Fair. Installed tankless water heater and water shutoff sensor. Original price quote was twice going rate. Took unacceptably long time to turn on gas & test install after initial install (~45 days). Never received necessary paperwork to file for tax rebate. FYI, big thumbs up on tankless gas water heater. Works great. Does need electricity to work, so will lose hot water during power outage (doesn't occur with gas tank water heater).
Description of Work: Repair water damage to house. Partial demolition, install replacement electrical, sheetrock, paint, crown molding, cabinetry, plumbing (tankless water heater), fireplace & mantle.
