The bathroom looked great, they spent more time than I expected and had good attention to detail. On the front porch, there were some inconsistencies with what I had expected, so they promptly came back out and fixed at no extra charge. Absolutely great to work with!

They were very professional, his daughter did an excellent job cleaning.

Joe arrived promptly on time for the estimate. He was extremely professional yet friendly as well. He discussed how the job would be done in great detail while offering suggestions on tile sizes and layout. During our conversation he said many times that Daniel, his son-in-law, was extremely talented and could do anything. Daniel is the young man that did the installation. Words alone can't express his work ethic and craftsmanship. Every grout line is perfectly lined up horizontally and vertically throughout the entire bath. He traveled across Dallas on a daily basis in the morning traffic, yet was always 5 to 10 minutes early. When he walked in the door he was working within 2 minutes and didn't stop working until he walked out the door to go home. My job was to sit in my recliner, watch TV, and drink ice tea. Daniel needs no supervision or "watching." He is both an artist in his work and extremely honest. The job took a week and was finished on schedule. After dealing with different contractors this experience was very refreshing. They definitely went above and beyond to make the job a pleasant experience. I will use no other company for future tile work!

Daniel did the work. He put in the mortar bed, and concrete board. He installed the tile on the walls, ceiling and floor of the shower as well as the bathroom floor. He put in ceiling cutouts for the lighting that I was to install later. He installed the warming pad under the floor tile in the bathroom. He installed a granite seat in the shower. He arrived as promised each day, and did a great job. The shower looks perfect.

On 10/18/2013 Tile Doctor's crew of two people showed up on time to re-grout and re-caulk the standup shower. They also reset a couple of loose tiles and removed and replaced one cracked bull nose tile. They spent most of the day removing the old grout and getting the tile ready for new grout. They then re- grouted and re-caulked the entire shower. They also re-caulked the perimeter of the enclosure. The shower looks brand new and we are very pleased with the outcome. On 10/22/2013 one of the crew returned on time to re-grout and re-caulk the tub surround in the other bathroom and re set a couple of bull nose tiles. This went much quicker than the standup shower and also looks great. We are very pleased with the results in both bathrooms.

The recaulked bathrooms look as good as new. My condo is over 30 years old and they were able to make them look great. I had some cracks between tiles and in the corners that they were able to repair. I am very pleased with the results. I will definitely use this company again.

I wanted to re-grout my bathroom floor and the shower, and also replace my shower door. Joe gave me an excellent bid at an excellent price. He was very prompt and very professional. The job came during Joe's busiest season, and are schedules did not work out for the full remodel. Joe was awesome and he was able to squeezed me in for part of my bathroom project. He is very nice and he works hard for his customers.

I felt very comfortable with Joe when he came to give me an estimate. Unlike the two previous contractors I'd seen, he listened to what I wanted done instead of telling me what I should have done at more expense, of course. His bid was also the lowest of the three. His tile man, Daniel, came on time each of the 5 work days. Once the pan and concrete backers were in place, the tile work went quickly and it was beautifully done. I was so pleased that Daniel and his helper Richard cleaned and vacuumed the work area before leaving each day so that the bath was completely usable except for the shower itself. I can't think of one thing that could have been done to make the experience any better.

Joe showed up on time are quickly got to work. He quickly sized up the job while we selected the sealer color to use. He was willing to help on color range, but declined to offer firm opinions...a smart move, I suspect learned from experience. Scheduling was easy. Joe's daughter showed up, a tad late due to traffic, but she made sure to call to inform us she was hung-up! Then she went right to work on the biggest job first. The difference in the tiles after the cleaning was major, but the epoxy sealer/color application results were spectacular. The tile pops in a way it must have when new. On the second day we reached the most troublesome area, the Master Bathroom with its black grout. Since the color we first decided upon didn't work (she applied a small amount for us to look at overnight after we discussed the color choice with her...like Joe, she will offer input only), she mixed up a special color combination that hit the mark perfectly. She didn't really care for it, but we think it's ideal. That's what you like from someone you've hired, and honest opinion to make you carefully consider your choice. But she never pushed doing something else, she just voiced a concern. The end result is wonderful at what I consider to be a very inexpensive price. Some notes: 1) Consider the color you want to stain/dye the grout under the light in the room in question. The bathroom color we ended up with seems slightly off under the high powered lights around the mirror, but looks excellent under both natural and more subdued lighting (its norrmal condition). 2) Don't be afraid to ask a question if you see a spot that looks a bit off. After working on lines for a whole day, it's easy to miss just one. A couple were missed, but the walk through she had us do before she cleaned up and left located them and got them corrected. 3) Remember that the product is dry quiet fast, but hardens over a 48 day period. We found out that rugs for the first 48 days or so might cause damage to the product...might...but I'd rather know than be surprised. 4) The Tile Doctor stands behind their work. We were told multiple times to call if there were any issues and that doing the job right was as important to them as it was to us.

They were good. They were very professional, very neat, and very courteous. I am pleased with the service.

You had better double-check the proposed grout and caulk color on Joe's estimate. I had shower tile repairs done and my existing grout and caulk is Antique White, Joe proposed White caulk and grout (not a match). The white caulk and new grout obviously does not match the existing. I was going to just overlook the issue, but then the caulk started to deteriorate in one spot so I needed them to come back out anyway. I expressed that I was not happy with stark white and Joe was going to replace all of the caulk with a better match. When he got here to replace the caulk, he failed to bring the right color with him. He seemed reluctant to come back another time with the right color and kept sighting the original quote with "white." I did not feel like debating him, so I had him just replace the deteriorating white with more white. I had hoped Joe would do as promised to make me a happy customer. I am left feeling let down and disappointed. I am sure he could tell I was displeased, but still made no further effort to replace the caulk wit a matching color.

First Joe was great in providing advice and suggestions on getting this done. He knows his business very well. Daniel worked very hard replacing the cracked travertine tile because I didn't have the original tile. The tile that I bought from a large tile company was not an exact match in terms of the size of the tile and the depth, which made Daniel's job much more difficult. He never complained and worked miracles to make this work. I'm so thankful for his hard work and expertise. He is very skilled at this job. The price of this job was extremely fair given all that he had to do on this. I would certainly call this company if I ever needed more tile work. Finally, they cleaned and sealed the stone. I shopped several other companies after search Angie's list and felt most comfortable with the Tile Doctor. I'm so glad that I used them for this job.

We searched several places before committing to someone, and Joe @ Tile Doctor was the one for us. Not only was he very professional, buy his price was about $500 below the next lowest bid, and about $1000 below most of the bids I received. So not only were we able to save on the labor cost, but this also allowed us to upgrade our tile choices!!! So we came out a double-winner by using The Tile Doctor. David was actually the one who did the shower build, and he did a great job. They showed up right on time, had everything they needed, and did the job in an effecient, yet detailed manner. I know exactly who I'll call the next time I need some tile work done.

It went great. I enjoyed meeting Joe Wilson who came out to give me an estimate. He showed up right on time and clearly was very knowledgeable of tile work. At the time, I was not sure if the shower could be repaired or had to be reworked completely. After Joe looked at it he did not recommend repairing it so we moved to discussing options for reworking it. He told me how they constructed the pan which was of great interest to me and also offered some advice on choosing the tile. As part of my effort to get quotes from several companies (all Angielist companies), I learned some of the methods used in constructing the base of the shower. One approach used by another company really appealed to me and seemed like a good way to do it so I locked in on trying to get the base rebuilt in this manner. I approached The Tile Doctor about adapting some of those techniques but after considering it, they chose to withdraw their bid. I fully understood though since if you believe in a certain way of doing something and it works for you, why run the risk of doing it in a different unproven manner. Anyway, I was hoping The Tile Doctor could do it in this manner but they declined. The Tile Doctor's bid was one of the two lowest I had and I am sure they would have done a great job using the method outlined to me.

Daniel did an outstanding high quality job in both baths. All the work and interaction with both Joe and Daniel was very professional. During the work, Daniel arrived when he said he would and cleaned up at the end of each day. The tile work and grouting is beautiful. We could not have asked for a better job. We had Daniel install 2 "soap dish" box frames in each bath and they look great. The Tile Doctor is on our call list when we install ceramic tile in our kitchen.

The process went very smooth. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. A couple minor challenges surfaced but Daniel handled them well and the work was done within the promised time frame. I had to replace a row of 20 year old bull nose tile along the back of the tub. They did a fantastic job matching the old tile with new. You can't tell it was a repair.

They were fairly priced and they did a good job.

To summarize, Joe is extremely professional, responsive, and always very courteous. He and Daniel were always on time for every appointment. Most importantly, Joe stands behind his work and goes above and beyond in order to make sure the customer is satisfied. Very few things in life go perfectly, so it?s important (and refreshing) to find a professional who will go out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction when things don?t quite go perfectly. They do great work and we?d highly recommend them to anyone. We obtained an estimate from Joe last fall then sat on it for a couple months because we were adjusting our plan. After the first estimate, we changed our minds on exactly what we wanted to do and Joe happily came out for additional measurements to update the estimate for us. After we decided to go forward, the work commenced with very little lead time. Daniel started with the shower replacement, tearing out the old one and rebuilding the stall for the tile, including replacing the shower pan liner. He installed all new backer board and then installed the tile. He also added a couple inset shelves in the walls, as well as a foot rest shelf near the bottom of the shower. After rebuilding the shower and finishing the tile, he repaired the grout around the bathtub, and it looks like new again. Lastly he removed the existing tile from around the fireplace and installed the tile in the entryway and around the fireplace. Afterwards they sealed all the grout. After a couple months we noticed a couple tiles cracking and some cracking in a grout line. We emailed Joe and he contacted us immediately to schedule a time to come out and replace the tile and re-do the grout lines. Everything looks great and we couldn?t be happier with the service.

searched angie's list for someone to clean grout and tile in kitchen into den. it had been many years since tile had real attention and over time grout and tile needed help. the owner, joe, came to house to give us an estimate. he connected with me immediately after i emailed him initially. we set up the time and then set the day to do the work. his daughter came and in fact, she was going to be a little later than we had arranged and she called the night before to let me know it might be another 15 minutes or so. really appreciated that. she came in and got to work immediately and said if i had any questions, please let her know. she was an absolute pleasure to have in our home and above all, when she was finished, the tile and grout had been restored to better than brand new. couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. would refer them anytime.

Tile Doctor's Joe Wilson and the family staff person who did the actual work were wonderful. They were very prompt and kept in close phone contact with us through the whole process. We felt the estimate was very fair and appreciated the detailed explanation we got from Joe Wilson regarding what needed to be done and how it would be done. The job was scheduled and completed in a reasonable time. The person who completed the job worked diligently, desired to do a good job was very neat. We are very pleased with the job. What a great thing to have a beautiful, like-new shower again. The job in the kitchen almost makes it a treat to wash dishes now. We thank the Tile Doctor, too, for describing the best way to keep our shower looking good for as long as possible.

We had pulled up our bathroom floor and taken out the sinks in preparation to redo the floor and get new sinks--we noticed that there seemed to be a leak from under the shower. We called up the Tile Doctor and Joe came out on 1/31 and took a look at it, it was thought that either the shower pan was leaking or the drain was cracked possibly due to a few years ago when we had foundation issues and that area of the house was jacked up. That did turn out to be the case. He sent us an estimate thru email which we accepted and they said they could start work on 2/18/13. They did, Dan came and did the tile work in the shower, and around the tub and laid the floor tile. He did an excellent job, and always cleaned up any mess afterwards.He replaced a wall that had the bottom rotted out from the damp as well, and checked the piping for us. They will come Monday, March 4th to seal the tile, and then we will be set! We were very pleased witht their work, as always.
