Work was completed in a timely manner spanning two days. Much care was taken to avoid existing sprinkler system and buried cable. Crew was extra hard working and stayed on task. Debris was cleaned up and hauled off. No garbage left behind. Matt came out near the end of the job to verify everything had been done correctly. He even spent time helping me get my watering timers working properly.

FANTASTIC! Stenson was great to work with from start to finish. If there were questions, they came out and answered them. If we hit a snag, they worked with me to resolve. They were willing to work around the schedule of having a specific crew out to take apart and then re-assemble the gazebo. The crew they sent was courteous and hard working, and they did a great job. I'm so happy with the results, and so pleased that Stenson made it so easy for me to get what we needed and wanted in the backyard. We'll have them back out when we're ready to add the bbq/fireplace!!!

They honored their warranty, so I am very pleased with them and will use them again.

The job was scheduled out a few weeks from when I made the commitment to engage Stenson Landscaping. I was kept updated in advance when the start date changed (I believe twice) due to weather delays on their project schedule. The team was running late on the start day (I stayed to meet them before heading to work), the project manager was able to head over before the team so we could touch base and I could head to work. The job took an extra day due to needing to obtain additional supplies and I did ask for a correction to the paver part of the job after it had been started (causing a restart on that portion). I also appreciated that they made sure the team leader was bilingual so that I was confident anything we talked about was translated for the team. The team cleaned everything up and I did not see any damage to the yard where they had to haul all their supplies to the backyard. (We did not set expectations on protecting the hauling area or on cleanup so it was good they demonstrated that professionalism). All sprinklers are working great now too. Price was good compared to a competitive quote. Totally worth paying Stenson to obtain supplies and provide a minimum of 3 laborers to get the job done in 2 days. Had I performed the work myself, I wouldn't have all this free time to spend with my family and enjoy the completed project for the rest of the summer.

After we purchased a 10-year old residential estate on 3.3 acres, Stenson Landscaping was hired in January 2016 to solve the sever drainage issues, upgrade/repair the irrigation system and renovate almost the entire landscape. After considering incomplete advice and proposals from a professional civil engineer and several landscapers who claimed to be drainage experts, James Doyle, co-partner of Stenson Landscaping, was hired to design and install a drainage system to eliminate standing water around the residence. The effective drainage system encompasses a network of approximately 750 linear feet of French drains emptying into two high-performance sump pumps. Afterwards, standing water from rain and irrigation runoff, which was killing plants and trees, was totally eliminated. The residential irrigation controller was replaced by a smart commercial controller with a flow meter to control 26 zones. James, an expert in commercial irrigation solutions, supervised his crew in repairing zone valves and heads. In addition, he prepared a zone chart and zone map of the system. When sensing low-flow alarms caused by blockages and high-flow alarms caused by broken heads, the smart controller dispatches alarms via email to both the property owner and James. The controller can be controlled locally or remotely from a smart phone or computer. Accessible historical data is also continuously recorded. Existing and new beds were essentially planted with new perennials and evergreen plants. Approximately 50 red cedar trees were planted around the perimeter of the property for a screen. Other trees and large shrubs planted were live oak, redbud, crepe myrtle, Japanese maple and holly. Furthermore, Stenson Landscaping install a beautiful stone paving walk and garden patio, driveway stone borders and plant bed stone borders. In addition, they installed bases for statuary and installed plants and drip systems into pottery. After more than one year, James has proactively replaced dead plants and trees without hesitation under warranty. In addition, Stenson Landscaping professionally maintains the entire property under an annual contract to mow, trim, fertilize, weed and insect spraying, etc.

James showed up and gave a quick estimate. Alex and his team did a fantastic job in the project. They cleaned the beds prior to and after their works. In addition, Alex double checked my sprinkler system to make sure that nothing was broken.

Went very well. Workers showed up on time and job was completed in the same day. James kept me informed of the work and made sure it was performed to my liking. I would definitely use them again.

James and Matt did an excellent job from start to finish. From the beginning, the communication was good and remained good throughout the project. After tyhe job was complete, there were some minor issues and they took care them without delay and withpout complaint. The price and service was more than fair.

We got them from Angie's List. It was the showcase of the neighborhood. It was an engineering marvel that they did. They did a wonderful job. They're highly recommended if you have a complex engineering or drainage issue that you need to deal with. I would recommend them.

The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. Stenson Landscaping trimmed two large trees, all hedges in front and back of the house, put in a raised flower bed in my yard and weeded the current beds and refreshed all the mulch. In addition, they cleaned up the yard better than it was when they started. The best part of the experience was when one of the owners made a comment to me that I am paying them and it their job to be more "picky" about the quality of work performed than I am. It is very nice when a company has that much pride in the quality of work they perform and they go above and beyond to make the customer happy. I have used this company in the past and will continue to use them in the future. They are outstanding.

Matt returned our call and scheduled a time to come out and look at our needs. He sent us a quote within an hour and the work was performed the very next day. Looks great and did a fantastic job. Matt came back to insure everything was exactly right, the next day after the work.

Stenson showed up and did not leave until the job was complete. They followed up with me afterwards to make sure I was happy. They even replaced two trees that were dying in my front yard at no charge!!!

It was a very great experience! From the initial meeting to the final walk through, it was very smooth. Matt was very professional and answered all of my questions. The work was done in a timely manner and was above and beyond what I expected. He showed me how to operate my new sprinkler system and set up my system to properly water my new landscaping. I have referred him to my neighbors and plan to use them in the future.

They did a great job. However when we talked about the work, I had specifically requested weed barrier but they didn't put that on the contract. They were supposed to move the rocks. Everything was done and it was absolutely beautiful but as time progressed, there was no weed barrier and not all the rocks were removed. It was frustrating. I should have just followed up. They should ask about customer needs. They didn't leave my yard in chaos and were very professional. I'm not using their service because of the issue of convenience due to distance, not because of the quality of the service.

Matt was very responsive, came out within a few days to write up a quote, walked the property took notes and gave an estimate at the same time as the walk through. Matt explained it would be late April/early May before they could get to us with all the work they had scheduled. I told them to go ahead with the quote and scheduling. Received a call this morning that the crew was on their way, not a big issue, as I work from home, but a little more notice would be nice. Crew was very nice, I asked about the crew removing the Yaupon bush in the front, if they could replant it to the side to keep the symmetry of the yard as they were supposed to move a dying Yaupon bush on the left side. Crew leader said "No problem". They went about their work. Towards the end of the day, they called me out to say they were finished. The Yaupon had not been placed on the left side as requested, they said "Matt said 'No'". Well, why didn't anyone tell me this, I was willing to pay if that had been the issue, but I wasn't even consulted after being told it would be done. The 2 front bushes were not balanced. One was cut 18" further back than the other side, so the front entry way is lopsided. I asked if they could cut the other bush back so it would match and they said they could not. I asked if we could plant another bush there so it would balance and they all shrugged their shoulders. They did good work and were professional, but honestly, the end result is a very unbalanced front walk and no symmetry in the side landscaping. I am really disappointed at the results and am inclined to not use this company again. I had a few other quotes and this one was a little higher than the others, but they got better reviews on Angie's List, so I thought "what the hey, you get what you pay for", but in this instance, I am disappointed in my choice.

The stone work is great. The fence is just as we requested. The problem is that a downspout from the gutter was left in place, going directly into the new raised, fully enclosed, flower bed. We noticed this the day after we made the final payment for the work. I contacted the owner of the company and he promised to come out and fix the problem. We were not home when the repairs were done. I came home to find that he had simply cut the downspout at the level of the dirt, and placed an extension that directed the outflow about 3 feet away, still in the bed. With the next rain, the drainage immediately started to erode the soil away. That was the last time I was able to get Mr. Stenson to answer my calls or respond to texts. We also realized that the workers must have run out of soil, because half of the raised beds are filled with sand. I would never consider using this company again.

Our experience was amazingly wonderful from start to finish. Matt was very responsive, gave us a quote, came back and drew us a sketch of the plan, and worked with us during delays of the finish of the pool. We kept thinking of little changes and extra things to throw in, and he was great about all of them. We had a question about one spot where we were thinking of putting up an iron railing, and he suggested a much less expensive landscaping option, which we LOVE as the final result. Our back yard is our own personal oasis now! We have used several other landscapers at a past house, and Matt's price for the amount of work is far and away the best value we've had. I wish we'd found him years ago. We are thrilled with our backyard and would recommend Stenson Landscaping to any and everybody.

It was a great experience. Matt was very professional and punctual. And his crew worked so hard. We replaced the front yard and had landscaping put in around the front of the house and trees. Also had landscaping in the backyard. It has great curb appeal now and several neighbors have commented on how nice it looks!
