Scott was very professional. He was patient as we worked through lots of different options and made several house calls to drop off samples of materials. The whole process was made more pleasant by Scott's demeanor and commitment to help us understand exactly what we were buying. Will definitely do business with Simmons flooring.

I have been fixing up a friend's house while he is in the hospital. One of the projects was to replace 30 year old carpet and linoleum. I had used Simmons for my own house in 2012 so I asked them and three other companies to provide an estimate for this job. Simmons estimate was complete. Not all others were. One company never provided one. Based on my prior experience and what comparison I could do with the other estimates, I selected Simmons again. My experience with my friend's home was the same as mine. Professional installers, arrived an finished on time (actually a day earlier than expected) and the floor looks great. They have earned my business and my recommendation to my friends. You can't go wrong. The estimate are extremely accurate because they are done by the owner using a laser measuring device; none of the round figure guestimating some companies do. Price for materials and labor is competitive. I will use them again if need even if they are a little bit more expensive because I know I can count on them for a good job.

The work was done professionally and in the time frame given to us when the job was bid. We worked with Seigfriend Ehmke who was very professional and customer service orientated. He was very responsive when we had specific requests.the work done was excellent and the floor turned out beautiful. I would recommend this company for anyone's flooring needs.

From the time I went to the store till the flooring was finished everyone I dealt with went above and beyond my expectations. They were excellent and explained everything and answered all my questions. That is the only store I will deal with when it comes to my floors.

Estimates of job found to be inflated based on other installers. Materials that were to be used were below grade from other installers.

My salesperson, Siegfried, was so great. He made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. I was able to take home samples several times until I got my colors established and he went above and beyond trying to get me the granite I needed for my kitchen. He was also aware that I was cost conscious and did not, at all, pressure me into buying anything out of my budget range. The installation of the tile on the backsplash and flooring was amazing. The installer took his time and made sure everything was perfection. I really appreciate that since tile is one thing you can see tiny mistakes very easily. I scanned all the tiles and found not one mistake. I have no complaints in this area. On the granite installation, the installers were good and they stayed late into the evening, about 8:30 PM, to make sure it was completed. My only concern here is that they had to make a correction on the cut on a corner section and, with the correction they planned, the overhang would have been shortened and not match the remainder of the countertop, plus leave one of the edges unfinished, which does not make any sense. Any homeowner would have to have that whole section removed and redone, at quite an expense to one of the parties. Luckily, my husband offered a solution, and they made the adjustment that put the countertop in without any problems, matching the rest of the kitchen. If we had let them install the countertops without us being there, this would have been a costly problem. In the end, the installation was a huge success overall. I highly recommend Simmons Floorcovering in Denton, TX, and I plan to use them in the future for more home improvements we have planned.

They were great but I couldn't get the floor installed at that time.

The vinyl floor is perfect. It is exactly what we contracted for. The price was fair and the quality is great. The installers arrived on time and when they left the area was clean and free of debris. The carpet installation was awful. It was the worst experience in buying carpet I have ever had. I discussed with the salesman what my expectations were beforehand. I wanted less expensive carpet but wanted upgraded pad for the entire job. We paid quite a bit extra for the upgraded pad. The installer arrived as agreed and worked quickly. The installation was done well but the installers left our home with several problems. There were fingerprints on the fresh paint everywhere. They were on walls, doors, door frames, just everywhere.The paint had been scratched and scuffed on almost every door. The closet doors that had been rehung did not work properly. After they completed the job we did a walk through. At that time I pointed out the scuffs, fingerprints and non-working doors. I was unhappy with the feel of the carpet. The padding feels incredibly thin and uneven. I didn't think this was to be expected with an upgraded pad. The installer began to try to clean some of the fingerprints. When I informed him I would not be willing to sign off on the job he stopped cleaning and left. I immediately emailed the salesman and complained about the job. The following day I called him and set up an appointment for him, his superviosr and the installer to come back out to the home to look over the job. That afternoon everyone arrived and we began to look over the work. The supervisor immediately started to tell me that we had painted water based latex over an oil pant so the paint would peel easily. I told him I was aware of this but still thought the many scratches were extreme. He did not agree. He said that the fingerprints were also our fault because we had stained the stair bannister and it had not yet cured and was still slightly sticky. I told him that some fingerprints could have been caused by that but there were mostly black stains, not brown because they had greasy hands from the greasy hinge pins on the doors. The supervisor began to clean the walls and told us in his opinion the stains cleaned away so he was satisfied. We were not. The stains were not gone and we had to do a great deal of touch up painting to cover the marks. The installers had taken chunks out of the bannister during installation. The supervisor said that he would fix that but that we were being rather critical and should expect some damage during a carpet install. I have had carpet installed several times in my past with new paint and have never had ANY damage at all.He said that it was not his fault the doors didn't fit after being rehung. That seemed ridiculous to me. After a lengthy discussion with no agreement made the supervisor informed me that since I had not informed the installers about the fingerprints they had not known to clean them. I told him I HAD shown them the marks. He asked the installer if that was true. The installer of course said no I had said nothing. The supervisor looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and walked out to talk to the installer. At this point I got mad! He had belittled every single complaint and took zero responsibility for anything. I told him I was insulted that he was basically calling me a liar. He said he could not talk to me "until cooler heads prevailed" and walked out with no resolution. Durning the walk through the supervisor told me that the pad was fine. He didn't feel any inconsistency and that the thin pad was a better pad even if it was thin. We had several emails back and forth regarding the pad and he informed me that I was given a sample of the pad so it was not their fault. I was never given any samples at all. I had never seen a sample of the pad. We discussed what I wanted but I was not shown what would be installed. After much back and forth he offered me $200.00 off the total price just to cover the damage to the bannister and because he knew we spent some time doing touch ups on the paint. He was condescending. His offer of $200 off was a joke. I paid the bill he told me to pay and gave up. I let him know that at least I had the recourse of reporting the experience on Angies List and would give anyone planning to hire Simmons to come to my home and walk on this awful, cheap feeling carpet. I'm sure I've missed a few points in such a long story but the bottom line is I felt cheated and I felt I was treated badly with no respect. I will never recommend this company. I would have given them a bad review for the supervisor's attitude alone. **UPDATE** I am really distressed by the provider's response. I was NOT shown pad samples. Just carpet samples. I AM the one who contracted the service. The landlord just paid for it and we are reimbursing. The landlord DID contract for another service but that was BEFORE he saw the carpet install. He will not go with Simmons again. This company continues to call me a liar and I am apalled. As we informed Simmons, this house means so much to us.. Our mother lived here until her passing a year ago. We decided to rent the place she loved so much and we made that known to Simmons. I again ask any prospective client to walk on my carpet. I really expected the company, after my review, to try and make it right. Instead they have AGAIN insulted me and called me a liar. The supervisor did indeed walk on my carpet and said he did not KNOW why it was not uniform and would inquire to the company that made the pad. Angie's List members please beware. I am proof that the company does not stand behind the product. I did not THREATEN with Angie's List I simply said I got a discount because of Angie's and I would give a reveiw. It was stated at the beginning that I would LOVE to give a good review based on the vinyl. I will gladly state that we LOVE THE CARPET AND THE VINYL. The pad is in question and the installers left fingerprints on all of our newly painted walls and scuffed our paint and woodwork. This review stand as true.

Scott, the salesman, was awesome. He used us along the wall. The installation crew was professional and on time everyday.

Chelsie at the showroom was an excellent resource when it came to choosing the tile. She really understood what we wanted. Sigfried was awesome to work with as well - he came out the house(over).

The quality and professionalism of a vendor/contractor is revealed when there are problems in the project. Simmons came through with flying colors. First - our floor is beautiful. Siegfried directed us to the best product for our home. We are very pleased. The installers were very professional and conscientious. Second - after the job was finished we found a wood panel incorrectly installed. I emailed Siegfried with pictures of the situation and asked him if the floor panel could be repaired. Three days later the installers returned and replaced the panel we identified. We are very happy with the level of service we received and Simmons responsiveness to our issue. I highly recommend Simmons Floor covering.

I stopped by Simmons on my day off and talked with Larry Moore about all of the options I had for our floors. We decided on tile, and he showed me many options in my price range. He was very helpful and knew a lot about the products they carried. My work schedule changed and I was forced to continue contact through e-mail, and Larry was very accommodating and understanding. We got everything scheduled, and the guys showed up on time. The first day they worked, they removed all of the old flooring and were able to finish one bathroom, the hallway, and almost all of the living room. The second day they finished the rest of the tile. And today, they are grouting the tile. Everything looks wonderful, very high quality work. We are very pleased with their service and will be contacting them again when we are able to get the bathroom walls and showers re-tiled. Sigfried was great and easy to work with. Simmons had so much selection and was very informative. Other places we went to were more interested in taking an order for floors than telling us what would work best in our house. Sigfried came out to the house and gave us some good suggestions for the hardwood floors we ended up putting in. The install team was a pleasure to work with and very understanding of our house and working around all of our things. They moved all the furniture carefully and put it all back. They tried to keep the dust to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves very well. All in all a wonderful experience and we have made Simmons our flooring company, which means they will be doing our carpet next.

Their prices are reasonable. The guys that came over to work were really nice. They did a real good job. They let me take my time to pick out the wood that I wanted. They let me take home several different samples. They were patient with me while I was trying to figure out which one I wanted.

We had a great experience with them. They were prompt and good workers. Everything was great and the result was wonderful. They were very professional and good. We were very well pleased and I would recommend them to anybody.

I obtained estimates from five providers and met with all of them. Scott's estimate was not the lowest but it was reasonable; he provided excellent recommendations; and set realistic expectations. He was the most professional of all of the suppliers with whom I spoke. Some of the others promised the moon but it was clear that they could not deliver. The too good to be true issue we all know about. Others didn't listen to my requirements and provided estimates that did not reflect my requirements. One estimated at a price that was so high it made no sense. Good for them if someone accepted I suppose. Scott's crews showed up on schedule and finished on schedule which was critical to me because his work had to be coordinated with other contractors who had to come in after the old flooring was removed and before the new flooring was installed. There were no delays and the project was finished on time. Scott's ability to get his crew on the job with no delay was very important because we had to vacate the house while the work was being done. We rented a house but had to vacate it on a date certain and it was essential that Simmons finish the job on time so we could move back in to our house. If I ever need flooring again, I will use Scott and Simmons Floorcovering and I certainly recommend them to anyone who needs these services.

I stopped by the store on a Saturday and took home several samples. On Monday, the salesman, Siegfried, stopped by my house to take measurements and give me a price for the flooring (hickory soft-scraped). I was able to have my flooring installed with no pressure from a professional salesman who visited the site twice, courteous and professional installers who left everything spotless when they left. Within one week I have a beautiful new floor. The experience could not have gone better. I would recommend Simmons and will certainly consider using them again.

It turned out real well. They did a good job. We were very pleased with the work. They did the install in a day and a half. They came back in a week to make a final cleanup after the glue had dried. They were very prompt, on time, and delivered on everything they promised. The workers were very diligent and hard working. We could have not been more pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend them.
