Pool Hands

Cool Pool People is who I used at first. They ended up selling customer base to another company called Pool Hands. Cool pool people were really good, they were fantastic. Pool hands is horrible, I am ready to fire them and do things myself.

The guys who came over were really nice and helpful. Their scheduling and their office were really nice. I paid them with coupay and they did not charge when they came for the second time.

We contracted with Pool Hands to replace the 16 year old Deck-O-Seal in our pool coping in late 2012. They removed the old seal and proceeded to replace it with a lot of sand and very little Deck-O-Seal. In the process, a lot of sand got dumped into the pool, the Polaris gears box was ruined and it took numerous vacuuming effort to get the sand out. After a year, the Deck-O-Seal was coming up. Of course, there is no warranty with these people even though they promise one. It needs to be put in writing which I'm pretty sure you won't get. This outfit was on Angie's List before with an extremely bad rating. According to Keith Mae, only bad ratings are posted and the merchants has to pay for good one -- not true.

NEVER CALLED OR EMAILED. WHY DO YOU HAVE THEM ON YOUR LIST?

Very poor service; lack of communication from the company. They will not return phone calls or emails. My hot tub needs a new motor per their inspection and since December of 2012 we have been trying to reach out to Pool Hands to get our estimate. My recommendation is not to use this company.

It was a horrible experience. I have only been able to use the pool about 4 days this summer. They would send different pool techs often and they would not know what the previous tech had done. My pool never got vacuumed which has delayed my getting a new filtration system installed. And I have had to cancel two pool parties I had planned due to the awful condition they left my pool in. I would not be able to recommend this company.
