On January 2nd I called AGS because of a gap in my garage door upon closing. The gentleman I spoke to saidhe could come out that afternoon but because of work I had to schedule for the morning of the 4th. Arrival window was between 9 & 10am. At 9:42 I received a phone call saying they were 10 minutes out. Upon arrival and checking out the door, it seems the door had magically fixed itself. The gentlemen gave me some tips for garage door maintenance, told me when I could expect the door spring to fail (5-7 years from installation). At the end of our meeting I expected a service charge & the gentleman said "we didn't do anything, no charge". Granted they were at the home about 15 minutes but in this day and age of service charges it is refreshing to see someone do what is right. When it comes time for further service or door replacement I know whom I'm calling.

Excellent service. Work was scheduled and performed the same day I called. I also received a courtesy call to inform me that JC was on the way. JC was very proficient and got the job done quickly, complete with a full explanation of what he was doing. All questions answered.

Couldn't have gone any better! They also noticed that our insulated door was not supported correctly so they fixed it as well! ...We had noticed that it was beginning to sag but it wasn't until AGS came that the sagging was explained! Thank you AGS!

Great! The repairman from AGS called me within minutes and worked with me to set up a time with the tenant of my house. In the end it turned out that the sensors (or whatever you call the light beam at the bottom that ensures nothing is in the way) was misaligned. I was only charged for the service call. Super nice and professional, would definitely use again. A year later I discovered the foundation had sunk over 5 in. on the opposite end of the house; no break in the slab, the whole house just tilted. My tenant was right that she didn't accidentally hit it.

He called ahead and arrived at the appointed time. He spent a good deal of time working on them and cleaning them. We thought a circuit board might need to be replaced but it hasn't acted up since then so we'll leave it as is for now.

Very knowledgeable and professional. They came out the day I called them, offered multiple options for repair and had all of the work done in less than an hour. I will definitely be calling them for any future work I need to have done.

Was punctual, completed the work in less than an hour, and saw a couple of other minor adjustments that needed to be made and made those as well. Plan to switch from prior garage door maintenance provider based on good experience.

Korey at AGS was referred to me by a friend and gave me a quote to repair a garage door on a home that I am selling and preparing for inspection. He stuck to his original quote and we were pleased with his work. When something came up during the inspection (the reverse mechanism) he came out promptly and made an adjustment at no additional charge. Would definitely use again, and already have had another tech from AGS come out do repairs at another house I own. He was very professional and throughlly explained my options.

I left a message late Sunday night and had a phone call by 8:30 Monday morning. He was very honest with my options. Very professional on the phone and in person. I was told things I could watch for myself and things that would eventually need to be replaced. I was very pleased with my purchase, the install, and everything about this experience. I will definitely use them again.

Door would not open, fell off track So replaced rollers, some hinges and tuned up door. very pleased with service, nice professional and friendly. Showed up early.

They arrived ready to work and got the job done quickly. We are very satisfied with the service and warranty provided.

I put my contact information and described what I needed on their website Sunday late night and by Monday morning I got a text message with a quote. Price was fair and I asked them to schedule the work. They showed up according scheduled and before lunch time I had my garage door working. He gave me his honest opinion about the situation. He was honest in what he knew and didn't know. For instance he sells and installs Liftmaster units and knew more about them than Geni. My unit was a Geni and he gave me his best guess on what he thought the problem was then gave me some options. He felt that either the board was bad or a mechanism with the motor was malfunctioning. As he did not know Geni's well enough to fix it, he could not repair the unit and instead referred me to the Geni dealer. He gave me a quote on replacing the unit with a Liftmaster that he services. As another option he recommended the Geni dealer in Lewisville which he spoke of highly. He also gave me the name of a third business in the Denton area that he felt was reputable. After hearing the options I decided to speak with the Geni repair person to see what they could do. I thanked him for his advice and asked how much I owed him for his time. He did not charge me anything. A welcome surprise. Told him that I would give him a good review on Angie's List for his trouble. In the end; I used the Geni dealer to replace my 13 year old unit with another Geni. The motor was burned out or just broke. The cost coming in at about $40-$60 less than AGS's price. However, in the future, I would not hesitate to call AGS. He was very professional and knowledgeable about his business and knows everyone in Denton county in this business. If this new Geni unit goes out - I'm calling AGS and not getting another one. Thank you to AGS for your time and trouble. Helped me out during this Holiday season when so much money if flying out of my pocket for other reasons. Have a Happy New Year. :-)

Everything went fine as far as the estimate goes but what they failed to tell us is that their truck was in the shop and they couldn't get our door replaced until the following week. Knowing full well we were having to struggle with this door manually getting it up and down they should have told us up front that this was the case so we wouldn't have wasted $35 to have them come out. We immediately called someone else and they were out the same afternoon to replace our door and the price was even better. Our $35 should be refunded. UPDATE 6/24/15: True to their word, we did receive the refund and gift card today; due to that I have changed my overall rating. Although we remember the original conversation a little differently we'll be gracious and say thank you for caring enough to make this situation right.

When I called at 6:44 pm, he was recognized that we had a security issue and was onsite in less than 20 minutes. The job was finished in less than 1/2 hour and we were taken care of and David was on his way back home. I am so appreciative of his excellent customer service. GREAT JOB!!

They came out the same day. Walked me through what had to be repaired and what was optional. Honest and will use again!!

I called first thing Friday morning and they were out by 11am. Diagnosed a cable off/broken spring. They waved the cable off fee since they would need to take the cables off to replace the spring. Showed me integrity and honesty right there. The spring was fixed quickly, 15-20 mins then we talked about work that would be needed in the future but not critical to address now. Everything was explained clearly which I liked. I would use this company again.

My garage door would not open using the powered opener the day before I was to leave on a trip. I could close it by hand but couldn't lock it. AGS was booked solid and had a few complications on prior jobs, but still found a way to work me in. They left at 7 PM and now I can leave town knowing that my garage door is secured.

Awesome service! I called AGS after my garage door failed when I tried to close it. They were able to come out right away and diagnose the problem. Fifteen minutes later, the spring was replaced and everything is now working perfectly. Thank you Korey and David for excellent work and an amazing response time. If you need work on your garage door, these are the guys you want. You'll be happy when they're done.

The gentlemen with AGS just finished installation of a new garage door and motor and I cannot say enough great things! The guys were professional and quick to respond and they took care of everything in a very timely manner! I would recommend them to one and all!

This was a great experience with a contractor. On my original call, he answered the phone (no voice mail, no waiting for call back!), he came the same day, he fixed it quickly without trying to upcharge for anything and the price was reasonable. I could not have asked for anything better, I was really impressed with the service.
