They were on time and made sure the lights were installed exactly where I wanted them. They workers did not bring enough cloths to cover the work area. I had to clean up the mess after they were gone.

Outstanding. I wanted another fan installed...i had it in house. They were honest with me and told me it would have been too big. They could have just done it and taken the money. Appreciated the honesty...not too common.

They did a good job. Put the plug exactly where it needed to be. They were about 30 min. late arriving. It would have been good for them to give a call alerting us they were running late. It is hard to rate their professionalism. They were quite entertaining, but not what one would call professional in their speech. We would use them again.

We took advantage of the $299.00 4 canister light installation. They also changed out a ceiling fan and fixed a light switch that hadn't worked in a year.Great guys Great company.

We purchased an Angie's List Deal to use their services. They performed the tasks on time and even honored my deal after the date had expired. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Abbott had to rent scaffolding to hang the light. The only issue we had is that they did not use the light bulbs we provided and less than a week after they hung the new light two bulbs were burnt out. Had they used our bulbs, they would have lasted longer.

Abbott Electric did a great job replacing my electric panel & breakers. They contacted me the day after I signed up for the work and promptly scheduled a day for the replacement. They worked quickly & professionally & arranged for the city inspection. Their communications were prompt & professional. I acquired competitive bids & their price was hundreds of dollars less than any other bid. I would highly recommend Abbott Electric & will use them in the future for all my electric work. Went great. The guys that came were a little rough around the edges (hence the B for professionalism), but they seemed knowledgable and were very helpful. Overall, unbeatable for the price and a very good experience.

The service provider arrived at the scheduled time. The two electricians were not dressed in professional attire and one of them smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I escorted the lead electrician to the intended room of installation. I became concerned when he immediately began complaining that he doesn't like working in two-story homes. This was to be an installation of four can lights right next to the attic access point-something other electricians have bid previously and told us would be no problem. Abbott's electrician looked up in the attic and declared the job "impossible." The work perfectly fit the terms and conditions of the Angie's Big Deal we bought, but the electrician just badmouthed Angie's List and said Angie's must have changed the text of the offer (which is highly unlikely). I really wanted the work done, but not by an electrician who did not inspire confidence. The electrician said to contact Angie's List for a refund, which is what I did. He said, "We give refunds all the time for those things," which is obviously a bad sign; they should be *completing* jobs, not refunding them. I am giving this company a "D" rather than an "F" since (a) they did arrive at my house within the scheduled window, and (b) the workers were relatively cordial, even while reneging on the work that was promised.

Very unprofessional. They missed the first appointment saying I had called to reschedule. I had not called. They rescheduled. I was told they would be there after 2:00 PM. At 4:30 PM I called and asked when they would be there. I was told they had come to my house and my husband had told them I wanted it rescheduled. I told them I did not have a husband and they had not been to my house. I had been home all day waiting for them. They admitted they went to the wrong house and rescheduled for Friday afternoon. They came on Friday. It was misting outside and neither of the men wiped their feet as they came in. I let them know I had 2 cats and one of the men very proudly told me his dog eats cats. I asked them to make sure they closed the front door completely so my cats would not get out. I continuously had to close the door behind them. I had another vendor in the house changing my internet, tv, and phone service to a new vendor. One of the men told me I had to be crazy to go with the new vendor I had chosen. While they were putting the light kits together one of them asked me what kind of lights I was going to put in. I told him I had been advised that the installation included lights. They said I was wrong that they cost about $40 or $50 a piece and I advised them to check. They came back and told me that they didn't have any lights on the truck and would have to go get them. I did not look at the lights as they put them in and did not realize until after it was dark that they and put regular 40 watt bulbs in the fixtures and not bulbs designed for recessed lighting. My ceiling fan is on the same switch plate as the recessed lighting. I noticed on Saturday that the fan would not work. I called Henry Kelton and let him know that the lights need to be changed to regular recessed light bulbs and that my fan needed to be fixed. He said he could not get to it until Thursday and he would get back to me with a time. I asked him to call me on Monday and let me know the time. He did not call on Monday, nor on Tuesday and he did not show up on Thursday. I started trying to call at 9:00 AM on Thursday and was forwarded to voice mail at another number and left a message for him to call me asking when he would be there. I called every hour until 1:00 PM with no response. I contacted Angie's List and asked for their assistance. On Friday I received and email sent at 9:12 AM from Henry advising they were on another job and waiting for the inspector and would be over after he arrived. I waited all morning heard nothing else from him. I had written down the number his calls were being forwarded to and decided to call it. It worked. He answered his phone and advised me that he was still waiting for the inspector and it would late when he came over. He arrived at about 5:00 PM. I have now wasted 4 full days of my time dealing with this. He changed out 2 of the 3 bulbs. I had 2 6" kits and one 4" kit installed and he did not have a bulb for the 4". He fixed the ceiling fan. I described the lack of professionalism on the part of his employees. His whole demeanor demonstrated that he couldn't care less about what I was saying. I had every right to be upset about the service but I was very calm and collected when I was describing their actions. I expected an apology, none was forthcoming. He did not even commit to come back with the right size bulb for the 3rd kit. I have had recessed lighting installed in my bedroom recently by another vendor and the whole experience was wonderful. Nothing like Abbott Electric. Do not use these people.

I bought a Abbott Electric big deal for 4 can lights installed in home. Two guys from Abbott showed up as scheduled, and informed me that the lights could not be installed in my home, due to roof line issues and no attic access. They told me to get a refund. They were nice and offered me some alternate lighting suggestions.

Did not have supplies even though photos had been sent. Did not want to honor verbal quote, but took that as payment after much arguing. Owner kept wanting to discount only the amount I paid for the coupon. Wanted to add on things like service call fees that were not disclosed. Will not use again or recommend. The inspector was out this morning (2/18/14) and did not get the issue fixed. It has not been passing inspection and the breaker goes out. They have not answered when I have tried to call and only showed up after I had someone else call. Below he mentioned he verbally told me a price that is not accurate.

I ordered the Big Deal for the installation of 4 recessed lights from Abbott Electric Inc. The guys I spoke to at the company were all very professional on the phone and in-person. They came out to my house to perform the installation today, but discovered that the media room I wanted the recessed lighting installed in had no space above the ceiling. The lights would not physically fit, so it wasn't possible for them to perform the install. No work was performed. Since I already have recessed lighting in all of my other rooms, I could not really use the coupon. Just as a side note, it may be a good idea to update the Big Deal to state that it does not apply to 2 story homes, or at the very least, that there needs to be a certain number of inches clearance above the ceiling to allow for installation.

On the first visit, the electricians viewed the two landscapes lights and conduit box. They explained that I would need to purchase and bury a specific connecting cable. They asked that I contact them to come back out and connect it. I called to schedule the return visit and they were able to complete the job within an hour. I was very satisfied with their work. Scheduling the first call did take some time and was delayed, but once they were able to come out, I received good service and appreciated their efforts to help me get this project done within the scope of the deal I had purchased.

Despite repeated attempts to reach the folks at Abbott they have failed to honor the Angie's List big deal. They came to my house and gave me an estimate for up-charge work, but would never return my future emails. Twice I've been told by Angie's List people they would elevate the issue to supervisors, but still nothing. Lesson learned.

Replace main circuit breaker panel and associated circuit breakers.

I was very pleased with their work. They were efficient and even stayed a little over the allotted time with no additional charges.

They were very prompt in replying to my service request. They showed up on time and worked efficiently and answered all my questions. They were very cordial and efficient. They also provided an estimate to rewire our shop to add additional sockets and switches. We will be using them for that work also.

They replaced a federal pacific breaker box. Did the job efficiently and quickly. Labeled everything and instructed me how to work it. Cleaned up after finished.

It finally worked out all right. There have been problems getting them back because I had more problems. They thought they fixed it but they didn’t. It worked fine when he walked out the door but 24 hours later, the problem was back. I had a hard time getting them back because they accepted a very large job and it took all of their manpower and they left the area and they weren’t back for well over a week. They came back and made it good and it was fine. They came in and did their work.

Excellent.. the cost was 210 + my 99 Angies list coupon which I found competitive. The only thing I found odd was they had 3 men out here and 1 to maybe 2 would have done the trick. Very happy with the service and I would use them again.

Repaired a light switch and took down a non-working fixture. Very friendly, helpful & professional.
