Description of Work: Response time is very poor- currently I've left 3 messages with no return call. They installed a sub par light switch ensuring me that they would come back another time at my convenience to replace-can't get them to call me back for a replacement. Workers took a number of smoke breaks and my house smelled of cigarettes for hours.

Response from Abbott Electric Inc
willing to resolve this issue, however; now that someone else has worked on this project and resolved this "issue", we see no way to arrive at a resolution. Due to family medical emergencies, we were not able to meet customer at the agreed upon time and date. During this time the customer hired another Electrician (handyman) to replace the ivory dimmer with white and "fix" can light we had installed. Now the customer wants a refund of $99 to resolve her complaint. The "work" has been done on 2 separate occasions. One for $99, and the other for $299.

Description of Work: ABBOTT ELECTRIC INCThey installed 2 light switches and 1 electrical plug. My only problem was not no where in their deal did it state that there would be an extra charge for distance. I had to call them to make the appointment and at that time they did not mention a charge for distance. They cancelled the first appointment due to a death and that was understandable. They could not set up another appointment at the time of the cancellation because I needed it on Wednesday thru Friday. My initial appointment was set up for a Wednesday with no problem. When I called weeks later (as they did not call back to set up my next appointment) to set up another appointment that is when they mentioned a distance charge.

Description of Work: I placed an order 7/10--received voicemail 1 day later to call and schedule appt--gave my name and address--I live in arlington, Texas --the company is in Denton--no mention of the fact they don 't do service this far--I received e mail from them asking for confirmation of the nature of the appt-- estimate or installation-I replied installation--again--no mention of type of house or location--workers came and instantly said there would be an upgrade because my house is 2 story and there would be a 100.00 fee for rescheduling and by the way, I was out of their service area

The coupon does state several stipulations for the execution of this discount. We are willing to complete the work as you intended with the understanding that due to your location, and the way your home was constructed, there will be a need to remove wall finish/sheet rock, which you did not approve. If you had contacted me directly (My cell is the company phone line @ 940.367.4575), i would gladly have spoken with you. At the time of your appointment it was explained the route, and placement of your new lights required removal of a very large portions of finished wall to achieve the desired effect. We do know some of the best sheet rockers and paint contractors in the DFW area that would be willing to make this possible if only you would have been willing to explore your options further.
