Southeast Tree

All good! Hans answers his phone promptly and responds quickly to text messages. Hans met me at the house to survey the scope of work about an hour after first contact. We settled on a price and then...a week's worth of city permit entanglement due to tree ordinance and Hans renewing his registration as an approved contractor within the city limits. But once the city paperwork was complete, Hans dispatched a crew to our house within the hour. The crew leader consulted with me, then they got to work. Hans arrived later with another crew. The work went fast; these guys know their way around trees!. The crew removed all the limb & branch debris from our yard and our two neighbors' yards and all of it went into the chipper. Southeast Tree is prompt, efficient, and fairly priced. And our trees look great! It is Father's Day as I write this review, and it is the day after a brief, but severe storm. Lots of trees down; lots of tree work needed here in CLS right now. But our yard had just a few small twigs on the ground post-storm. So happy about that! I highly recommend Southeast Tree.

The owner made an appointment one business day after we talked on the phone. He was prompt and courteous. He gave me the estimate and his crew came out in less than an hour and performed the work in a couple of hours. The trees were trimmed nicely and all limbs and branches were taken away. The cost was fair for the work done. Could not be better. I will use them in the future.

After a mix up where they didn't show the first day for an assessment. They contacted me and apologized for the mixup, and scheduled the work for the next Monday. Monday they were there on time, and performed the work exactly as requested, they were very professional and did a great job cleaning up everything such that it looked like they were never there! Excellent work.

The work was scheduled for Oct. 20; but they called and said they could do the work on Oct. 19 if it was okay with me; which it absolutely was. They showed up about 9:30 AM and were finished shortly after noon. Their work was excellent! I was concerned that there were large limbs that could easily hit my house and possibly damage my neighbors fence or yard shrubbery. However, they quickly planned each cut and roped the limbs off if necessary; and they didn't even come close to my house or power lines. And they did no damage to the neighbors yard. They used a rubber tracked Ditch Witch brand machine with front claws to gather up cut limgs and logs, which really expidited their work versus carrying everything manually out to the street. They raked up all the small stuff and left the yard in very good shape. I sat out in a lawn chair and watched the whole operation and was very impressed and happy with the results.

I called Hans in the a.m. for an estimate. He called me back in a few hours and came over to give me the estimate. The estimate was right-on and he said he had two other jobs to do and then he would try to get to mine. Four hours later he arrived with his crew and they went to work and finished my job in a little over an hour. They did an excellent job! They cleaned up the area after the trimming and took away all the debris. I would highly recommend Southeast Tree.

They removed 2 large trees very close to the house 1 large limb over roof. They were very professional and did a great job, they even ground out exposed roots Left area very clean. Very happy with the service provided. I will recommend this company to everyone I know.

I have used Southeast Tree on 2 other occasions and they did a wonderful job. A large tree taken down in the back yard with stump grind and storm damage on another. I was a return customer that wanted Hans of Southeast Tree to be my tree guy. He first missed the estimate time that he suggested at 8:00am until I called and reminded him at 8:45am. He was here in 30 minutes after the phone call. The estimate was $450 for 3 palms and a tree trim. It sounded like he might be able to do it at 2:00 that afternoon but if not, plan on it the following Friday afternoon. Next Friday arrives and no Hans. Left 2 messages and he returned the phone call on Tuesday. There was a mix up and he had been out of town. He will do it the coming Friday. Not a problem but I was under pressure at work and it was hard to break away again the second Friday. 2nd Friday afternoon comes and I left work early and no Hans. Called at 3:45pm and left a message on his cell, "you coming today?" He calls back quickly and apologizes but they cannot come out today. Blames it on the rain all week. He gives me another quote of 1/2 off the estimate. It had been raining all week and it stopped on Friday morning. There was No phone call from him to reschedule? Hans, I appreciate that you offered to reschedule for a 3rd time, but i can't afford to miss another afternoon away from work.

The response was fantastic - scheduled the same day for the work. Arrived on time and worked quickly. Team of 3 plus leader. I felt the price was high - but I needed the work done right away - so, I accepted the offer. The work was done well. The team was respectful and energetic. The trash was picked up and the yard was cleaned (leaves blown and picked up) when done.

Hans and his team removed a tree (about 15 ft tall) that was in the flower bed that was very close to my house. Called him Thursday, he went and checked it out (I didn't need to be there) and he called back in the morning on Friday and told me the price, including trimming one tree in the backyard and we went ahead with the job. By the time I called him at 11:30am or so he said they already went out and got everything done. The whole job took less than 24 hours.

The quality of work was great. They said they would be there at 8:00 in the morning and at 7:50, they rolled up, unloaded, and started to work. They got everything done, hauled everything up, and shredded on site with the small stuff. Stump grinding is usually a big messy affair, and that was absolutely perfect. Everything was leveled like nothing had ever been there, and we just covered the area with mulch when we got through with it. There were no big deep depressions. I had this done a number of times in the past. I was quite impressed with the work they have done. As a matter of fact, knowing the amount of work that they have done, his estimate was so good that I didn't ask anybody out to give me an estimate.

I've had people charge $700 a tree plus stump grinding plus whatever they charge for trimming. For the amount of work he had done, $1500 was an exceptionally good price. The pricing was extremely fair. The guys were very professional and very hardworking. He came out with a crew of about 5 people and they just attacked everything. It was basically 2 crew doing 2 different things at one time. Hans was learning the thing and making sure they did what they were supposed to do like a clockwork.

Hans was professional both in quoting the job and performing the work. His estimate was below others of comparable repute but the job was done above the expected quality. Part of my fence gate was slightly damaged during the job so they repaired it before finishing up the job. Property was cleaned nicely of debris, etc, resulting from the work. If looking for tree service at a minimum call them for a quote.

Hans was prompt to return my calls, friendly, and began the work a couple days after we assessing my property, waiting only on my request for quotes to come back from competitors. The quote from Southeast Tree came in at least $300 below 4 other companies of comparable repute on Angie's list. The fact that Southwest Tree did the work for a lower price than other companies I contacted was not reflected in a reduced quality of work. I have zero things to complain about. The trees are gone, my oak tree looks beautiful, and my property was left tidy.

Super quick response, easy to communicate with, much more reasonable estimate than previous people I had look at it, and the tree looks amazing! I will be using them again!

This is the second time I have used Southeast Tree. Hans is a totally reliable contractor and performs a very professional, timely and friendly service. No problems at all. Definitely recommend this company for your arboreal needs.

Southeast Tree service did a good job, arrived on time and completed job in a timely matter. After crew had left a limb was hanging. Called Hans and they took care of it right away.

Hans met me at my house and gave a free estimate for the work. I requested he call me when his crew came to the house to do the work and he did. I never had to wait. The crew was knowledgeable verified which branches to cut and the work to be done. All the tree trimmings were removed and the front yard cleaned. I was very happy with the work performed and will use them again for my tree needs.

Besides the owner they brought at least four people, they were pretty much finished before I even arrived. It only took them about two hours, and they had a lot of major equipment there. It was a very efficient use of their time and it looked good when they were done. You should expect very quick work, I had another quote but Southeast tree was less expensive. They arrived early and I thought the owner was excellent. It could have been very dangerous but they knew what they were doing.

We contacted the provider and he came out to discuss our tree pruning needs and give us a free estimate for our job on a Thursday afternoon. He was about 30 minutes late to provide our estimate, but he quickly provided an estimate and we agreed to schedule the job. He told us he would have a crew out to do the work the following week. However, the work was never completed so I called him and he acknowledged that he had completely overlooked our job. He was very apologetic and promised to get to us within the next few days. His crew did come out quickly and did an excellent job pruning our trees. Even with the delay in getting the job done, we were pleased with the work and the value for our money. We will likely use Southeast Tree again in the future.

First, the owner Hans has excellent communication and told me exactly what to expect and when - there were no surprises. He said his crew would be at my home between 7:30 - 8 am and were there promptly at 7:30. The trees in the front yard were to be trimmed and the sago palms by the house were to be removed. The large Oak tree in the back yard was to be trimmed (heavily) and the longer branches were to be trimmed away from the roof of the house. All he asked was that we clear the path so that his crew could remove the debris from the back yard. When I got home to see work - I was amazed. His crew did a fantastic job and honestly, there was nothing left to pick up in my yard - not even any random leaves or sticks. I had initially hired another contractor to do the same work who cancelled on me twice. It was only then that I called Southeast Tree Trimming and I'm so glad that I did! The next time I need work done on my trees - I will definately call Hans again. His quote was a bit higher than the contractor I had originally hired, but I got better than what I expected from Southeast Tree. Thank you Hans!
