Mr. Electric of Bay Area

An estimate was given the day I called. Work began as soon as required permits and marking could be completed. Electricians went the extra mile to complete the job. Communication was excellent.

I have nothing but praise for Mr. Electric and their services. The electrician assigned to my project, Hector, and his two helpers were fantastic. The most frustrating portion of my project had nothing to do with Mr. Electric, but the electrical supplier, Centerpoint Energy. Hector and his crew had to dig a trench approximately 65 feet that was about 2.5 feet deep in order to reroute my main service cable and bring everything up to current codes; they did all this by hand on one of the hottest days of the summer so far. The crew arrived early in the morning and got to work quickly. Hector explained everything that was going on and what his plan was. The Mr. Electric office manager, Valerie, worked hard at coordinating everything and kept in constant contact with me to see how things were progressing. Hector and his crew worked until 6:00 to complete the job and get everything inspected. All the work passed initial inspection the first time, and the inspector complimented Hector's work. I am completed satisfied with the work provided and am impressed by the coordination of Mr. Electric as a whole. From the helpers, to the electrician and office manager, all members appeared to want the work done right the first time. Even though I did not have electricity service until the next business day, a Centerpoint Energy problem, Valerie called me and tried to assist me in any way she could. I can't think of many other companies that would do that once the work was finished. I have nothing but praise for Mr. Electric.

I used Mr. Electric many years ago for some major work, and I did so again around 2 years ago. During a bathroom remodel I had a few odd jobs that the general contractor was not able to handle. Since it had been some time I solicited bids from several contractors. Mr. Electric came in well-below the other offers. I already knew the quality of their work so it was a no-brainer to use them again. During a recent kitchen remodel I had the option of using a general contractor for my electrical work. I used Mr. Electric instead. They were less expensive, more responsive (Valorie even called me back after hours for non-emergency), and the quality of work was excellent. Ask for Ron.

The communication was great with this business. The lady who coordinated my visits (estimate and service) was very thorough and always described what to expect from each person coming to my house. The price was the best I could find for this service and they were able to get me on their schedule within a few days. Ron and his partner were very professional with the extra job of taking down and remounting my large TV. I would recommend this business to anyone in the area.

They didn't want to do the job so they over quoted it by three times and we didn't go with them. He told us how much the job would cost but he didn't want to do it. I called somebody else and they did it for one-third of the price. He didn't want the job; he was just way overpriced on purpose, I believe. He wasted my time. He showed up on time but his body language said he didn't want to do it.

Ron and Mitch were great! They were there within 10 min of our appointment time. They were very professional, answered all my questions, did their work, and cleaned up afterwards. The problem for my external light turned out to be with my new fixture so they put an old one back on. Since they warranty their work for a year when I get the new one they said they will come back out and replace it for me. I will definitely use them again.

A Schonbek crystal chandalier was installed in the dining room of a house we recently purchased. It was moved from a prior residence. Mr. Electric personnel arrived on time and made the installation neatly and with great care. They also suggested a higher wattage switch which I knew was needed. They obtained one and installed it as well. I will be calling them in the near future for some other additional lighting and exterior outlets to be installed.

Went well without issue. This is not the first time I have used them. We use them regularly at my office. From these experiences I used them on a home we bought in the area that need TLC. First they came out and brought up to code an outside box in preparation for HVAC upgrade and map electrical routing from box. Discussed future work and cost. Next trip wire and install light in walk-in closet add-on and install ceiling fan in home office. They don't know it yet but they will be coming out next week to install ceiling electrical outlet for new garage door opener install.

This company was commissioned to do this work through Home Depot (where I purchased the fan). It *could* have been a messy and expensive job, because there was no guarantee that the struts would be in the right place to center the fan, and no guarantee that there was wiring to that spot. I was warned it could be as much as $500, and many holes in the drywall on the ceiling and the wall. But Ron immediately discovered there was a live wire exactly where we needed it to be, and it wound up being straightforward, although he could have hidden that from me and charged more. He was honest, hardworking, cleaned up his mess and did a great job!! I will definitely call this company directly for any further electric work!
