It turns out that I hired a bad inspector and there was nothing to repair. I appreciate Allied's willingness to evaluate the property. Other companies require the owner to schedule an estimate. I am impressed that they didn't find "something" to repair. Thank you, Allied. You run an honest business, and if I need to have foundation work done (or know of a friend who does) I know who to call.
Description of Work: I called Allied to give me an estimate on repairing a foundation on a house I was considering for purchase, based on a home inspectors report.

Let me start by saying that I am AMAZED at the professionalism, quality and price of Allied Foundation. They were finished in less than 2 hours and 45 minutes. Other foundation repair companies quoted me three times the cost and said it would take two days! Allied told me 4 hours. And they beat that! As a professional photographer, I documented the process. And even though I witnessed the repair, I still can't believe how quickly they completed the work. You can't even tell they were here other than the fact that our floor is level and there are concrete patches. The only downside is that our kitchen is no longer in the basement (that's a joke...it's not supposed to be). The foundation was down 3" to 4" at it's worse point. But no longer. Our doors close and latch. Our windows are level again. The cracks in our drywall are there (obviously, they weren't here to fix our walls) but there is no gap in the cracks. We are extremely pleased! If - no, when - you need foundation repair...save your time and your money and just call Allied Foundation. There is a reason they are rated an A on Angies's List and A+ with the BBB. We experienced it ourselves! Trust Allied Foundation!
Description of Work: Allied Foundation installed 15 piers at our residence.

Wonderful. Jason Frick came out to inspect our house and gave us the price on the work. We expected to pay a lot more ($20K range) He was very knowledgeable, frank and friendly. He did not come out for the job itself, but on the day and a half of labor, a group of 7-9 guys descended on our house, they worked hard and were always courteous. The supervisor was very friendly and kept us up to what was happening. The gas company and the phone company came out and Allied dealt with them. They had to remove and put back brick, concrete and flag stone, and did a tremendous job. The supervisor asked my husband if he would like to crawl under the house to see what the crew was doing and the repairs they would make, and he also adjusted the locks to the apt above the garage. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything as it was before the job. We have a life time warranty (that transfers with the house) on the garage and a one year warranty on the pier and beam. We are very happy with Allied. They did a great job!
Description of Work: Allied added 17 driven concrete piers under slab supporting garage. Further, adjusted and reshimmied piers under our pier and beam house, and added support to middle beam.

Went better than expected. They were in, holes dug, piers placed in, house raised and the back fill and leave. They removed some shrubs and replaced them, filled in the cracks of my house with mortar. They also had to remove boards from my back deck but put them back. Other than my house being level and the back fill soil they returned I could not even tell they had been to my house. They did it all in half a day. Would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Allied came out and gave me a quote for 17 piers. I had another company come to give me a quote and just to make sure what Allied was telling me was accurate since I have never dealt with foundation issues before. Both companies quoted the same number of piers in the exact same location and the second company repeated everything Allied had said. The second company was 5000 more than Allied. So I chose Allied and they came and placed 17 piers around one side of my house. They were able to be there 3 days after I called to request services. The second company told me the wait time would be over a month to get anyone out.

The provider was responsive and came out within the same week I called to do the estimate. They performed a relatively quick assessment of the foundation using a level. I felt that the provider was very quick to recommend foundation repair and the placement of the piers seemed to be a generic recommendation that they use for all customers and not specific for my property. In the end I decided not to use them because I decided not to repair my house foundation.
Description of Work: I contacted them for house foundation repair. They came out and surveyed the house foundation and gave me a written estimate. They recommended putting 20 piers in the back of the house.

They inspected the foundation and told me that everything was fine. They did foundation repair on my house before I bought it. I would consider using them again because they have repaired the foundation and have what is necessary to do so, but I was not totally thrilled with them.

We had noticed cracks in our exterior walls several months ago. We called in a structural engineer and he recommended that we have concrete piers installed to our foundation. We called 3 companies and Allied quoted us the best price. We also checked with the BBB and this website and found out that this company was reputable, licensed, insured, and bonded. Overall, it was a good experience (though I wouldn't wish any foundation issues for anybody :-).
Description of Work: They installed 28 concrete piers for our foundation. They were on time and professional. I was surprised also, how the job site was clean and restored to its original. I would recommend them. Priced very reasonable too!

I am pretty disappointed with their service. I can't say anything about their price, because the previous owners took care of the initial cost and it is warranted for a lifetime. I do not think they stand by their guarantee and after coming out now for a third time, I can't say their quality is very good. I'm intending of having them fix it again for now, but I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: The brick between the garage and my home has separated. This was a problem that first happened to the previous owners. They called this company to fix the problem. After I bought the house, it happened again. I called this company because I learned that there is a lifetime warranty with their work. They came and fixed the problem and now a year later it has happened again. I have called them to come out and fix the problem but no one will respond to my phone calls.

The company arrived on time - both for the estimate and to perform the work. They dug holes 2-3 feet apart around the entire perimeter. They removed plants from the flowerbed and tied up larger bushes so they would be out of their way. They jackhammered 3 holes into the concrete front porch to insert the piers. I had not been told about the jackhammering part when I was given the estimate so I was really suprised when the deafening noise started. It vibrated the whole house and really upset my 3 pets. I would have moved my pets to another location if I would have known it was going to be so loud. Other than that they did a good job. The leveling did cause a few more cracks in my sheetrock and some pavers on my back patio which had been installed over an old concrete porch were lifted along with the foundation leaving an uneven area that will need to be fixed by a paver company. They advised not to do any cosmetic repairs (like patching the sheetrock) for about a month because the house wouldn't be totally settled until then. The total job took 5 1/2 hours. After they left I found a slight leak under a sink and found that the gate to my backyard wouldn't shut and the locks on front and back doors didn't line up and couldn't be locked. The leak has since stopped (I guess it settled back into place). The gate has settled enough to open with just a little tug. I was able to adjust the locks myself. The house is now level and it is good to know that repairs I make in the future will stay fixed rather than having to re-repair due to the constant house shifting. Just know that any repairs that have been made while the house was "crooked" will not align once it is leveled. I am very happy with the outcome.
Description of Work: Installed twenty-six piers under the perimeter of my foundation in order to level the house. I have a 1200 square foot house - so a pier was installed every few feet around the entire house.

Estimator was great and helpful (Jon). Team of workers arrived on time. They finished in about 6 hours -- much to my surprise -- and that included a break for the pizza and coke I took out to them. Terribly hot day! The air hammer was going for about 2+ hours, but after that stopped the rest went well. I was disappointed with how my landscaping looked, but decided I couldn't really expect much more, given the mucky mud that was dug up and piled around. I had to call them back after the big rain we had from "Dolly" because I had eight sink holes. They came out and refilled the holes in 2 days after I called.
Description of Work: Seven of the 20 piers that were installed required drilling through concrete. Two of the holes dug for piers required removing shrubbery (one was dead the next day probably because of the heat--about 98 degrees). Six of the holes required moving drainage rock, and five holes required moving some drainage rock and some granite gravel path. After the leveling was complete, new cement was poured into the 7 holes which required 24 hours to harden. Four of these concrete holes were inside my garage. The other holes were filled with dirt but a great deal of extra dirt was put (with my permission) in another part of my yard.

Allied rep was very professional and very honest with what could/could not be expected with foundation leveling. I offered to pay him a service call for his time but he refused and said it was part of the "free estimate" they offer.
Description of Work: Requested Allied Foundation to come to my house and look at the foundation while all flooring was stripped back to the concrete. There were some low spots/high spots that I wanted to know if they could be corrected by leveling the foundation. After the inspection, the Allied Foundation Specialist said the foundation was sound and that no work was needed. He said the leveling of the high/low spots would need to be accomplished by floor leveling compounds.

Unbelievable service! Highly recommend!
Description of Work: The job consisted of taking a 30 year old foundation that was cracked and in total disrepair from the neglect and balancing it back to normal. I had received quotes as high as $15,000 to do the job. John came and met me one day after I called and provide me a quote for 41 piers. I was shocked but since they were on this list and highly rated I thought I would give them a try. One week later the foundation was fixed, the job site was clean and they even added an extra pier at no extra charge because they thought it need one to get it right.

The 10-11 man crew arrived on time at 8am and were complete by 10:30am. Very professional crew who I could tell were very experienced. Each person did their job and worked quickly. They obviously had done this many times. I selected them based on a previous Angie's List report, and am happy that I did. They were 1/2 the price of the "big" TV advertising firms.
Description of Work: Leveled our detached garage. Installed 16 piers to level our 50+ year old two car garage (22ftx25ft) which had several severe cracks, the left and right sides of the garage were 4 inches lower than the middle of the garage. They advertise $150 per pier, but charged us less, probably because the garage is light when compared to a heavy house.

I went with them based on price. The other companies wanted over twice what they charged. They guaranteed all of their work. My friend used them and referred me to them. It was a very labor intensive job so I really felt they did good work.
Description of Work: Allied Foundation Specialist leveled the concrete foundation in my two car garage where it had started to sink. What they did was dug holes about 7 feet apart and put concrete cylinders in there. They lifted it a few inches at a time with hydraulic jacks pushing the cylinders into the ground and added more cement to level it off.

I had just purchased my home and knew from the start I had to get the foundation fixed. I am in my 80's and they did not try to take advantage of me. In fact, the gentleman that worked with me individually was the kindest person and he really did a good job. I am not sure how they did it or what all they used but my foundation is fine now. They also gave a warranty on their work.

I feel that they did do a good job. They did have to come back one time because one corner needed a little more leveling. It was kind of sinking in. I really do not feel that this was the company's fault, it was actually the earths fault. Anyways, they fixed it with no problems at all. After the job was complete, they came by often and checked to see that everything was okay. It did not take much time for them to do this. It was actually very easy for them. Also, the price I paid for this was a special they were running. It was about $200 cheaper than it would have been.
