Allied Foundation inspected foundation and recommended 15 piers to be installed to get house back to proper elevation. Once the estimate was given, Allied personnel explained the process that would be used. When the work was done , the personnel were very professional and the clean up was very professional, as well. Would recommend Allied for all foundation repairs.

I had a porch extension that was sinking and Allied came out and installed "piers" to raise the level. This did not hold even one year. The piers are too short to be effective. I had Allied come out for an inspection when my home showed signs of slab cracking. They do not do tunneling or interior pier work. Based on the fact that the work they did on my porch did not have any lasting value, I would not recommend them to anyone. AVOID Allied Foundation. My advice--call an independent structural engineer and follow his/her scope of work and recommnedations.

And they were great with my dogs!! Great company!! Would use them again in a heart beat!!

We decided to use Allied due to their reviews on Angie's List. We called and setup an appointment for an estimate. Jonathan arrived at the set time and proceeded to look over the outside of the property. When he was done, he came in and took level measurements of our floors. We found we had a reasonable amount of sagging to the front corner of our home. This coincided with cracks in our tile, cracks along one wall seam, the expansion joint on the exterior of the home widening, and some doors that would not close correctly. We went over the options and chose to have fifteen (15) piers placed to shore up two sides of the house. I called to setup an appointment and then asked about the Angie's List discount. They adjusted the price with no fuss and we set the date for the work. On the day of the job, they arrived with two trucks and a very large crew. The foreman (Rene) marked the home where the piers were to be replaced and the men started running with it! In no time, they had the holes dug and were ready to start the installation of the piers. I never thought I would see my house "shudder" as the slope was corrected, or hear the "interesting" noises on the interior, but they managed to correct all the issues and shore up the house to level (with no additional cosmetic damage on the interior!). The job only took a little over four hours and they left the gardens in good shape and took quite a bit of care not to damage any plants... We had only two (2) small issues... Due to the placement of my sprinkler piping, they managed to knick a line and crack a coupling. They immediately fixed the cracked pipe and then, upon finding the cracked coupling, jumped on that repair as well. (Just a tip... no matter who you get to do foundation work, check your sprinkler system after the work is done and before the company leaves...)Overall, this was a great experience, the house is back to perfect, and I would highly recommend Allied to my family, friends, and neighbors!

Work was good; price was reasonable; too bad about the missing item.
Description of Work: Allied performed foundation repairs consisting of 24 concrete piers. It took approx 4 hours. Foreman Hugo Gonzales was pleasant and very professional. Two doors that did not close are now closing. The separations between brick sections on outside walls decreased significantly. My only complaint is that my hose had an expensive sprayer attachment when they arrived and a day later i noticed it was gone. I called the company, left message saying they must have picked it up by accident. The next day they left a message saying they had talked to the foreman and he said he did not remove it. It was a large crew and they must have picked it up with their tools/equipment. I heard them using the hose at both sides of the house, so they must have removed it. Bottom line, i was happy with their work but the sprayer incident upset me because it is impossible to hold people accountable cause all they have to do is say it wasn't me. Be careful with removable items left outside.

The company crew came out on time. All the fellows were very professional. The foreman (Ramiro Castillo) was courteous, professional, and extremely knowlegible about what was best for OUR HOUSE. He determined the best location of the piers and due to unforseen issues/concerns, went over & above the original workscope just to make sure job was done right at no extra charge as was given the 'go head' by his management. The job was completed in one afternoon as the previous piers put in by another foundation company 10 years ago took almost 2 days and that company was not available for the lifetime warrenty work that was needed; finding out that they are no longer in business. I see why now. Allied ( Jonathan Attaya) has been great about all this and was extremely fair concerning the original costs of the original workscope, then to go beyond that for complete customer satisfaction, I cannot recommend them more highly,,,,,,, GOT MY VOTE for being on the top of the list.... From the initial estimate and through to the finished project it was great. Melanie Frick did our estimate and was courteous and punctual. The team of guys were all very respectful and fast. The supervisor went above and beyond the call of duty in his dealings with a VERY difficult neighbor of ours (we live in a patio home with zero-lot lines). The whole experience was quick and easy.

Showed up when they were supposed to. Within 40 minutes of start they broke a gas line along side of house which caused an hour or so delay. They had called to mark the utility lines prior but because both my neighbor and myself had locked gates it was never accomplished. I did not think to ask ahead of time about that and they paid no attention to it. Nobody called me to say that they had not accomplished that. Once that was taken care of it went smoothly. I was impressed with the process. They cleaned up best they could but it was a mess in my yard. I lost three shrubs because they were not careful with the root system when they dug them out. They do state in the contract that they cannot guarantee their survival after re-planting but I think had they been more careful that would not have happened. Minimal damage from the leveling inside which I was grateful for. Both foremen were good to work with and seemed to be sensitive to the issues. Laborers--not so much. We had a period of rain after the job was done and I had huge sink holes in the areas where the piers were placed. They just threw dirt in the holes and never tamped it down. I have had to replace all my front sod and redo a lot of my beds. They hauled off all the extra dirt so I had to bring in dirt to fill the holes. Not happy about how labor intensive this has been for me. I was very stressed through the whole process but it only took a day to do it and I'm happy with the fact that my home is stable now.

Jason prepared an estimate to repair my slab. He surveyed the house both outside and inside. The estimate included a sketch showing the suggested location of the piers. The crew arrived about 9:00 AM on the scheduled day and began digging holes for the piers. The piers were installed and the house was leveled. Cracks in the brick were filled with mortar. The crew placed excess dirt in a couple of flower beds. Holes in the concrete were filled in and troweled smooth. The job site was cleaned up and the work was completed by about 5:30 PM. The crew worked well together and did a professional job.

I took out time from my day to have this company provide me with an estimate to level my pier and beam house. The man showed up early and was professional. He did know what he was talking about. However, only after he spent all this time writing up an estimate and taking up my time as well as his, he informed me that there was a minimum starting price to do this work of $2,900. I have never heard of a minimum charge for doing work, much less one that is almost $3,000.00. If the company would have told me that they had a minimum charge, I would have never set up the appointment. I feel this was deceitful as the person setting up my appointment should have told me this. Waste of time.

John Attaya was the estimator that Allied sent to my appointment. He ran a little late for the appt. but did have the courtesy to call and let me know what time he would here. John was very courteous, professional, an answered all of our many questions. The end result was that we did not really need any foundation repair as the cracks that we were seeing were from normal slab movement in the Houston soils. He offered a modest price to put in several stabilizing piers but advised us to just to really keep the slab watered this summer, and we should be just fine. What a relief...we are remodeling our 50's house and figured on $3K for foundation repair. Now that money can go elsewhere.

John came out within a day of me calling to schedule the appointment. He was very prompt, even early for our appointment time. He called ahead to ask if I was available for an earlier time. He came out, looked at my house and the area in question, listened and answered my concerns, and determined that everything I was seeing was normal and nothing needed to be done to my foundation at the time. He recommended some cosmetic work that could be done to help prevent any further issues. Very pleased by my experience with John and the company in general.

Pros: They broke a gas line during the install and got a repair crew out to fix everything. The main guy said "I won't leave until it's taken care of" which impressed me. I just had to call the gas company to reinstall service. I could see this as having been a real hassle to deal with. The yard looks pretty good considering the amount of work done. Cons: Showed up without drawings, increased the price by $1000 upon arrival, had to wait 1.5 months for service. No contract or written anything showing "lifetime transferable warranty." Had to call to request an invoice to be sent to us (they said they would put it in the mailbox, and they didn't). Some annoyance that a pier plus tools were left in the yard and that dirt was piled up around the foundation around the house, requiring me to remove it from touching the bricks so that the termite warranty was not voided (a 10+ hour job) plus three rose bushes were transplanted crudely and died despite my daily efforts to rejuvenate them.
Description of Work: I really don't know how these people got such a good rating on Angie's List. They did some things well, but were pretty disorganized. We have a large two story house. Upon the free estimate, the engineer(?) Clay told us that we should put in 31 piers, but 5 were optional. Since this was a big price difference, we went with the optional. He left his drawing which was a piece of yellow paper with some crude marks on it and X's approximately where the piers would go. We had to wait 1.5 months until they could complete the job. The guys showed up ready to work without the drawing from Clay. We had our copy (luckily!) and they worked off of that, but the optional piers were not marked on the drawing. When we asked for clarification from Clay while the guys were waiting there in the yard to start, he said "Oh they weren't really optional." This increased the price tag by $1000, which is not exactly negligible and we didn't appreciate the surprise.

Jason Frick from Allied inspected an older home I bought in the Heights for potential foundation leveling. Jason arrived on time and was exceedingly personable and professional and took time to give me advice and answer questions. I was pleasantly surprised when Jason told me that overall the foundation of the house was in good shape for its age and that he did not believe any work was necessary at this time. I really respected Jason for his honesty and knowledge. He seems like a very easy person to work with and just an all-around good guy. I would not hesitate to call Allied again for any work in the future or recommend them to others.

He was right on time and very professional. He asked me what my concerns were and took levels on the floor in several rooms. He then recommended I contact a plumbing company that does pressure testing on water lines to see if I have under slab problems due to broken lines. That should determine whether or not I need foundation repair.

They came to the house early in the morning. Placed 15 or so piers and re-leveled 10 existing ones. Completed work by 1 pm and completely cleaned up around the area. Did a great job with my plants! I really appreciated the professional nature this company and their employees showed in their work. I had used a foundation repair company 6 years before with a "lifetime" warranty on the work, but they refused to return my call once they found out I was a warranty customer. I knew that I needed a much better company this time.

Excellent work. Very professional and polite inspector came by and gave us a good explanation and a good estimate. The work was scheduled and took place on the day they set. The most incredible part is they did it all in one day....it was about 28 piers they added. The crew was very well coordinated and they all worked as a team. They were careful with the bushes and plants. They even did a good job removing then replacing the paving stones in the front court yard. They did a reasonable job cleaning up and we were very satisfied with the work.

Did a great job fixing my broken foundation from the drought of 2011. Way less then I was expecting. It did take 4 weeks to get them out for an estimate and then another 6 to get to the house to do the repair, but they are busy. The inspection was quick and the complete. They showed up exactly when they said and did the entire job (12 piers) in about 3 hours. They cleaned up the mess asked me where I wanted the extra dirt... very nice people.

Allied has performed two major jobs at our house at different times. They placed 13 piers in the rear wing about 4 years ago. This past summer, they placed another 15 in the front of the house. This particular visit was to adjust the piers, as we were having differential movement between the front and back due to the drought. The company originally set a date out about six weeks to do this maintenance, but was able to fit us in after another local job and actually arrived only a few days after I called. Unfortunately, they were a little too enthusiastic, and overlifted the slab, resulting in cracks in the exterior brickwork, in the tile in the master bath, at various joints throughout the rear wing, and lifting an interior wall away from the floor. I called them about a week later in a panic as the cracks were spreading, and they immediately sent out a crew to look at the situation. They patched the exterior cracks, checked all the levels in the house, and told me that the cracking resulted from the lift, could be expected, was not serious, and I should expect everything to gradually settle back down, but that they could not adjust the piers without causing additional problems. They suggested that I might need an internal pier at some time, and they could subcontract that work, but did not do it themselves. I was not completely reassured at the time, but the project manager turned out to be correct. Their repairs stayed in place, I have had no additional cracking, and my interior wall is settling back, although not completely yet. My overall assessment of Allied is that some of their site managers are excellent, and others lack experience. They do not keep an engineer on staff, so for complex issues, another firm might be better. They are very reasonably priced, and try hard to respond quickly to issues from their customers. Despite a long predicted wait for warranty service, the actual service was performed very quickly. And when I called in a panic, I received immediate attention on a weekend. I will continue to work with them, keeping in mind that if I do need an expert opinion, I might have to consult an engineer before going back to Allied for the actual work.
