When I called for an estimate, there was some wait, but the appointment was scheduled for a convenient time. The gentleman who came out to do the estimate was very informative and professional. The price he quoted was less than the competing bids, but more importantly, his repair plan seemed to be the best. When the crew arrived (a little early), they were very good, were done with everything (cleanup, concrete patch, distributing excess dirt) within about 3 hours. The crew foreman communicated to me throughout the process. They damaged one sprinkler, but the manager offered for me to choose a repair company to fix it and send the bill for reimbursement. I am not sure if my bushes are going to make it, because there didn't seem like there was much root left on it when it was extracted. Overall, a very smooth, stress-free process. I would definitely recommend them.

Had my house checked for foundation problems because I am selling it. Had a little sag at one place in house. Technician said that when it was leveled before, the area in question might have been left like that on purpose and that he would not try to fix it. Music to my ears!

House was built in 1978, addition added on 5 years later. Concrete floor where the 2 slabs met had separated and the addition looked like it was on a angle. The company rep explained that the separation was not a foundation problem just a problem between the 2 concrete slabs and he explained how to use a floor level concrete mixture to bond and level the 2 floors. No charges, on time appointment, good company with a good rep.

Excellent! The crew arrived on time, got right to work, and finished well within the estimated time. When they left, all my plants were back in the ground and all debris removed.
Description of Work: I originally wanted to get three different bids on the job but this company was so professional and agreeable to work with that we ended up going with them instead of getting the other bids (besides, the other two companies never returned my phone calls).

He called and said he needed to go to Montgomery and Kingwood and me. My appt was 8 or 9 AM, don't remember exactly. He called to change it to 11. I told him to cancel my appointment as there was no way he would see me at 11. Houston is the 4th largest city in the country. Montgomery is at least 50 miles north of me, Kingwood is also 50 or so NE of me, I am 20 miles from the heart of Houston. When you factor in traffic on a normal day there was no way he could possibly get those 3 done in less than a full day, much less a morning. I was expected at work when I finished with him. Very poor scheduling. If he couldn't come out when they said, how could I expect the job to be done right and on time?
Description of Work: Poor scheduling performance. I don't remember the date exactly.

BAIT AND SWITCH!! I called Allied Foundation and set up an appointment to get a bid to level my home. Max Zepeda was the sales rep who bid the job. Our appointment was at 11am, Max arrived at 11:45. He was nice, and we knew some mutual friends from childhood. He walked around the outside of the house for about 5 minutes, never laid a level down once inside (which I thought was strange), and then began to draw out a diagram of my home along with the bid that he prepared. The bid was much higher than I was expecting. I was given a bid of $8000.00 dollars to level a pier and beam house. He admitted the bid was high but there was a reason. Max promised that the price was FIRM and would NOT be re-adjusted "NO MATTER WHAT THEY FIND UNDER THE HOUSE". He guaranteed that all the risk was removed by this firm bid, and that is what makes it worth the extra money. Hearing that, I was persuaded to go with Allied. The work was started on Dec. 13, 2012 in the morning. I received a phone call at about 10am stating that there was an addition to the home and a concrete beam under it that needed to be leveled. The foreman said Max told him he didn't know about the addition. However, if you look at the sketch Max made of my home, he has arrows pointing to the exact spot of the addition and the concrete beam and the word "ADDITION" written on the page. If you kneel down beside my house, you can see the beam very clearly. Max had access to see this area at the time of bidding. The foreman said the job would now cost $16,000.00 to complete. I told them there was no way I could afford 16,000.00 for this job. The foreman told me to call Ali at the main office if I had a problem. I called the main office and spoke with Ali. I told him that I understand that it is more work than Max priced when he bid the job, but that I was promised by Max that, no matter what, I would not pay more than $8,000.00. Ali assured me that Max would call me to discuss this and they would come up with some solution. It has been a month and I have not heard from Max, Ali, nor anyone else from Allied Foundation. Allied Foundation uses the lowest form of sales technique, BAIT AND SWITCH!! I understand a sales rep bidding a job poorly. I am in sales and have done the same thing once, or twice. The difference between my company and Allied Foundation, is that my company will cover whatever I, as my company's representative, say will be covered, EVEN IF IT IS NOT CORRECT!! Allied has a deplorable way of doing business...go give a bogus bid and GUARANTEE that it is not moving "NO MATTER WHAT" and get the customer to agree to the terms, then just double the bid and expect the customer to be ok with it. Unbelievable!! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company, and I would not recommend Allied Foundation to anyone at any time.

Estimate was given on 1/10/2013 by Melanie. Was told it would be 3 weeks before performing work. Got a call the eve. of 1/10 to inform us of a cancellation on 1/11. Told them great, the crew showed up at approx. 1:30 pm and finished up at 5 pm. Most all of the cracks in the house came back together. We had a small crack in the brickwork in the fireplace and the crew leader repaired it with mortar. The entire crew knew exactly what to do and performed an excellent job. This is not a company that has a pick up truck with workers and shovels in the back. This is an organized company with multi cabbed trucks and the proper equipment to do the job right ! I will recommend Allied to anyone ! They know how to do the job right ! Also the 10% off coupon with Angies list was a big plus also.

They did a fantastic job. They did the repairs in one day of putting in 17 piers. They were professional, punctual, and thorough. I would highly recommend their services to others. If I had to use them again I would. Update 2/26/13: I had this work done prior to putting my house on the market. I was being pro-active but you need to read this so you can make a more informed decision. in 2006 I tore down the existing studio and rebuilt it to a more functional space. After the contractor had removed all of the existing structure and before they began framing, I asked the architect to walk with me on the foundation, and I asked him if I need to have it checked out to make sure it would hold. First mistake: don't ask the architect, he's not an engineer. He assured me the foundation would hold. So we proceeded with the construction, and about 3 months after completion, I noticed a decided tilt on one 1/3 of the studio and the door into the garage was no longer square. So I contacted Du-West and after the 6 week wait, the estimator came out and he told me what he thought the problem was and proposed a $12,000 remedy. I choked on that, said no thanks, and proceeded to just live with it. No one lived out there, it was my home office and game room for the kids. Roll forward to 2012, I need to sell the house, realtor says, get it fixed. Called Allied based on the many positive ratings on Angie's List. Came out that week and scheduled work for week following. As we walked out of the studio, I told him Du-West wanted a lot more for the same job and he said it was because they had all the board members to pay, while Allied was family-owned and operated. Well, I think it's because Du-West has actual structural engineers on staff that know what they're doing. It's now Feb 2013 and after having the house inspected by prospective buyers who were concerned about the foundation, Allied is now saying that the house has moved again and it's because I don't have footings. Huh??? I have an appt with a structural engineer for Tuesday to find out once and for all what's going on. In making the appt, the structural engineer commented: "I've never seen good work out of Allied." I will be updating this further after the engineer comes out, but folks, if you have foundation problems, spend the money and get a professional to identify what needs to be done, don't rely on Allied to know. The salesman never even MENTIONED or ASKED if an engineer had looked at it.
Description of Work: I have a studio on the back of my detached garage and there was a tilt in the floor along with some cracks in the foundation of the garage. Allied did some measurements and installed 17 piers.

Due to the up coming holidays, we elected to delay work until January or February after paying for Christmas and property taxes. However, Allied will be the company to do the work.
Description of Work: Allied came out to provide an estimate for the Bio-Barrier root treatment and at same time provided an estimate for piers due to early signs of foundation instability. The estimator was prompt and very courteous, etc. Advised me of how the Bio-Barrier worked and while here, also provided a very competitive bid for installing piers to support the foundation.

I cannot say yet how the work went, but the estimate experience was amazing. Hence the choice of this company to do the work.
Description of Work: We have been getting estimates for extensive foundation work: "leveling" our house, which is a must in the Houston area. We have a very old house. The man who came to our house spent at least 30 minutes with us, explaining every detail, showing extensive knowledge of our type of house and the type of work needed, and what we would NOT need. Although his estimate came in at the top, we are choosing this company anyway because of the intense professionalism of the estimate, and the confidence we have in them. We are hopefully planning to get the work done in the first quarter of 2013.

They crew did as I described above
Description of Work: The company arrived on the morning of the agreed time. The supervisor told me basically what they were going to do and the different stages I would see the work in. He asked that I remain close by as he would seek my input into the work going on as well. The process proceeded as described the leveling process took place and when the crew arrived to pump material under the foundation again I was informed and given a description of what was going on. The company finished the work around 5:30pm that evening. Later the next day I was called to make sure all was ok and the work crews left the job site cleaned up and without any problems, I let him know all was done to my satisfaction.

The crew started on time, early in the morning. To our surprise the crew was really fast on how they operated. It was as quick as they claimed to be. The house was sinking in the front of our home and some doors would not open any more. Serious issue that was repaired. The bad part about this crew that was working so fast, is that the clean up was left to us. All of my plants, large bushes and other types where not only cut from thier roots but totally misplaced once the work was finished. My backyard patio furniture was thrown everywhere, and no attempt to even place anything back was made. The walk way and most of the grass was covered in mud that was dug up during the repair. I wont blame the crew, they came to provide a service and they did a quick effective job. I am dissapointed in the managment, for failing to inform me of the aftermath that I would have to deal with after the job was complete. Now I have to invest more money into the landscaping that was ruinied.

Allied Foundation arrived at 3:00 PM, October 19, 2012 as promised and performed warranty work on our foundation. Allied set up a date and time and dug up and replaced four of 10 previously installed piers. Jorge and his team also hydralically lifted the house and placed new shims to stop or minimize the movement of our home in League City. I had noticed a small crack in our ceiling developing again in our study and they stopped by September 26th to evaluated our problem. They honored the lifetime warranty and stand by their work. I recommend Allied to anyone who is having problems foundation issues.

Excellent work, entire crew was very professional. The crew arrived on time. The job foreman explained what was going to happen during the process and did a walk through of the house as the crew was setting up. The job foreman continually came in as the house was being raised to see what was occurring within the house. Upon completion of the job, the crew removed all trash, hauled away the excess dirt. The project was finished in one day and I was left with a lifetime warranty, which was explained to me before they left. I received a followup call the next day to be sure that I was satisfied with the job.

The company showed up in the time frame they where scheduled. The crew got to work as soon as the trucks stopped rolling. After crew was started the supervisor came and asked if I had any questions or concerns. The workers took the time to remove any bushes or plants that surround the house and put them back, so it looks like nothing was ever done around the foundation. Within about 3 1/2 hours they where through and cleaning up.
Description of Work: The company placed peirs around 3/4s of the foundation to bring the house back to level.
