The initial person who came out to give me an estimate told me that they could re-wire some computer networks upstairs and that they could put the outdoor outlet where I wanted it in a specific place. When the actual electricians came out, they weren't able to do either and the outdoor outlet was ugly where they put it and it was supposed to be where my dog could not get at it and it wasn't. They ended up running an extension from the original and put in another about 3 feet away. Took awhile to get the estimate back from them but then they were able to start the work fairly quickly. Also, when they put one of the new fuse boxes in the garage, there was about a 2-3 inch gap in the sheetrock that was open. They were just going to leave it that way until we told them they had to put something over the hole. They asked if we had any wood to use for it! Overall, an o.k. job, reasonable price, but I'm not sure I'd use them again.

It was a very pleasant experience. The last electrician I had come out told me things that were not true, and the technician corrected this information.

The first technician that was supposed to come out never showed up. Zubra's called the next day and apologized profusely, and apparently fired that technician. They then had someone out the next morning exactly at the time that I requested.

Easy to schedule a convenient time. Phoned before they came. Were right on time. Were neat and efficient. Final charge was less than estimate quoted by phone!

First electrician completely misdiagnosed both problems. Zubras did the right thing and didn't charge me for his time and sent out a better trained electrician who did very good work.

They were super friendly and helpful.

The job was completed in exactly the way I wanted. As an example, in one case it would have been easier to run wiring outside my house via a conduit, but I wanted it hidden inside my wall. Harder, but Zubras was happy to comply. The lead on the job, Al Z., is obviously very experienced and knows what he is doing on this type of work. He was very clear about discussing options, risks, plans of attack, and so on. He was also content to let me drive things in some of those more difficult ways without turning things into an ego clash - something very senior tradespeople sometimes can't avoid. On top of getting the job done, Al was on top of his crew, making sure that house was kept clean, mud wasn't tracked through he house, shavings and dust were swept up. The kind of professional touches that I appreciate. Zubras showed integrity as well. This job ran substantially longer than estimated, and there was no talk of increasing the bill. I paid what I was estimated.

Excellent service. Prompt, friendly and professional. They provided information regarding the electrical issues, discussed options to correct them and remained within the cost estimate provided during the phone consultation. The electrician was Lester and I will request him again if I need additional work.

The electrician for Zubras was Lester Konecny. He arrived on time, called before he arrived. Was responsive, pleasant and professional. Completed his work quickly and applied the Angie's List discount to the parts. Their rates are fair (but not low) at $90/hr for the first 90 mins. or part of and $60/hr after that for 1 person and $90 per hour for two.

They showed up 45 minutes early for the job, which I would say is GREAT, but in this case, I was taking the kids to school. Luckily they reached me on the cell phone and I told them they could pull around to the back to start working on replacing the outdoor fixture. When I went to pick the kids back up from school around lunchtime, they took lunch and hit their warehouse for the right supplies to finish the work (matching my lights/style). They finished in a timely manner, were polite and cleaned up after themselves (asking for the cleaning supplies - broom, mop, dust rag). The quote that I was given over the phone for the work matched up with the final price. I would recommend using them again, and in fact will use Zubra's again when I finally decide where to put the wall sconces. I liked the fact that they listened to what I needed, waited for my final approval before making holes in walls or ceiling, and were flexible about my schedule (1 day wait only to get work done!).

Lester came to perform work for our HOA on the building replacing and adding security lights to our parking garage and courtyard and replaced sockets that had been burned out. Additionally, he repaired the socket in my kitchen over the sink that had been fried, several non-working outlets in the house, and updated the kitchen sockets to GFI standards. I found Lester a pleasure. He is very knowledgeable, professional and provides excellent customer service. He called 1/2 hour prior to arriving at the complex to give me advance notice that I really appreciated.

Ben called before he came and was on time. He fixed the problems and was very professional.

I was at first discouraged when they weren't able to find anything definitive (the first visit). I was, however, very pleased with the price of the work they did do, and it was somewhat reassuring to hear them say that there didn't appear to be any evidence of dangerous wiring problems. When they came out the second time, they checked everything over again in the house, and when they still saw nothing, started expanding the search until they discovered a faulty connection belonging to the power company. It was clear that they know what they're doing, and I appreciate their willingness to explain what they see and what they're looking for. The second visit cost nothing, which is a bargain even if you get very little. We feel like we got tremendous value, and we'll definitely use them again.

The electrician that came out was very helpful about pointing out smaller issues I can look into to prevent any further repairs. He went above and beyond the call of duty, which i though was very helpful. I would definitely recommend them to others I am will most certainly be using them again myself.

The whole experience with Zubras went great! Zubras rep Jerry came out and discussed the work needing to be done and provided me a written estimate. Having used Zubras previously and finding their estimate to be very competitive, I did not solicit other bids and just accepted Zubras' proposal. A few days later, Zubras electrician Jeremy came out to perform the work. He sized up what was needed, went and got the parts and performed the work all in one day. I was very pleased with the work done and I have some knowledge of electrical work.

They came in and did the work on time. They finished early and cleaned up after themselves. This was a wonderful experience.

They came out quickly to do an estimate and arranged the installation within a week. However, the estimator did not tell the electrician exactly what he needed, so he did not have the parts necessary when they arrived. They offered to go get the parts (about 2 hours), but we agreed they would come back the next day. They did come back, had all the parts and completed the work within 5 hours. Ben was very nice and efficient and even checked out a couple of more issues for me when he was here.

Went very well. Lester and Charlie called before arriving; they were scheduled to arrive between 9 and noon, and arrived at 9am. All service performed professionally and efficiently.

Nice appearance and well mannered. Professional. They also checked with me before they did any work. Nothing was done that I didn't want.

They did a good job. My house is very difficult because some of the wiring is from the 1950's. They were very efficient, very nice, and very professional. They showed up when they said they would.

I don't know how this company gets such a high rating. This is the 2nd time in 1 year that I called them for residential work based on their Angie's rating and got no response. Call was answered promptly by Joyce, who was very nice. She told me someone would be calling me back ASAP re: getting someone out for a bid. However >2 days later, no one had called. I suspect this company screens their incoming job prospects and simply disregards jobs they consider (sight unseen) to be too small or not worth their while. Given the poor state of that market these days, I might have thought they would be more responsive to potential customers. Won't ever bother to contact them again.

Alan arrived on exactly when they said he would and was friendly and polite. He was very conscientious and careful. I appreciated how thoroughly he cleaned up after himself as he worked. He might have been a little too conscientious; he tried everything he could think of to get our doorbell to work. I certainly could have told him to stop (but didn't). In any case, he wound up working all day and that drove costs up. To be clear: Alan didn't waste time and he was very competent. I would definitely use Zubras again and recommend them highly. At every stage of the process, they were courteous and professional.

I basically chose Zubras due to all the glowing compliments on Angie's list--serves me right. They were scheduled to come out at 9AM, and when I called at 10AM to ask what was going on, they said "Oh, the person who was supposed to do your job got caught up somewhere else. We'll send someone out right away". I understand that things come up--but I received no phone call alerting me to this, nor did I receive an apology for this wasted time. The technician who was coming "right away" showed up at 11:30AM...that's right, 1 1/2 hours after they said he'd be there. I needed him to redo 3 outlets in the kitchen to CGFI, in addition to the dryer outlet, however, due to the company's tardiness, this wasn't possible, as I had an appointment at 1:30 I needed to get to. Had he been there at 9AM (as scheduled), this wouldn't have been an issue. Overall, I was very disappointed in Zubras.

I received a courtesy call saying when they would arrive, they arrived on time began work immediately and were extremely professional. They would consult me occasionally to make sure they were doing things the way I wanted them done. They cleaned everything up before they left. It was an extremely pleasant experience.
