Derwin, the Licensed Electrician from Zubras Electric, showed up in a timely manner and set right to work. He carefully removed the original equipment fire alarms, which were 13 years old, most of which had long ago quit working. Derwin carefully installed each new dual sensor alarm and tested each individually to ensure correct operation. By the time all 8 were installed, and all 8 going off at once, it was pretty loud, certainly loud enough to wake anyone! This is the fourth time Zubras has worked on our property. They are always so respectful of our home and we appreciate the care, expertise and professionalism each and every time they have been here. Everything went perfectly. I had to schedule them out a little too far because they were busy. However, a date became available and they came a week sooner. They sent two men, Martin & Chris, who phoned about 30 minutes before they arrived (within a 4 hour time slot) and finished the "Deal" quickly & with quality. I had them place one of their stickers in my control panel box so I'll remember to call them again. My zip code in Dallas is 75225. .

Ben contacted me the same day I reached out, and said Kristy would be contacting me to schedule an appointment. She did right away, and gave me a window of 1-4 on Thursday. At noon, Martin called and said he was an hour away and was headed to my home. Super punctual. Once they arrived, Martin and his "apprentice" were extremely polite, courteous, explained in detail what could be tripping the plugs and even talked me through a little "wiring 101". I couldn't be happier with their work and would gladly have them out again.

Zubras arrived on time, worked diligently and quickly to complete the electrical work required to light up our workshop.. We will now be able to see where we are going and what we are doing, for increased safety factor at all times. This is the third time we have called Zubras for help with electrical needs while we have been remodeling this house. They are just the best there is if you need electrical services. of any description.

Standard response time was 48+ hrs. I am more disappointed in this than anything else. During his visit, I showed him the current location of the panel. The panel was original to the home, built in 1974. It was originally placed in the closet of one of 4 bedrooms, according to the code at the time the home was built. The previous homeowners had remodeled two bedrooms to create a master suite, but did not relocate the panel. As a result, the panel was located next to a vanity in the new master bathroom. The wall it was on is an exterior wall, and it needed only to be rotated 180 degrees and moved a foot or two to fit on the exterior. I also asked what the additional cost would be to run cable to laundry room for an electric dryer, and run cable to the garage for a 60 amp sub-panel. I explained that we already had the sub-panel, breakers, and dryer outlet, so we would not need them to provide or instal these parts. We were only interested in having the cable run from the main panel to the location needed. I also mentioned that we were considering purchasing the cable for the garage and laundry room to reduce costs. He viewed the property on Friday afternoon 5/29 and said he could have the quote to me by the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday.) Though I didn't want to wait that long, I understood the time frame. Tuesday came and went and I heard nothing. I called on Wednesday and left a message. I did not hear back until Monday 6/1. The quote given was over 4K. This included labor only, no parts, for the two smaller projects in the laundry and garage. My husband (previously an electrician and familiar with parts and labor involved) did not feel the price quoted was reasonable. That combined with the very poor response time led us to choose a different provider. Clements Electric (also on Angie's List) quoted $2,500 for panel relocation, 200 amp upgrade, whole house surge protection, and two smaller projects included. Dervan McGowen was very professional; called and asked for a picture of the breaker to make sure he had the right supplies. Upon arrival quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Very personable, professional and a fair price for after hours Saturday call

Zubras is excellent at followup on scheduling the appointment, show up on time, and work diligently until the work is done. They are amazingly professional, clean, organized, and terrific at explaining what needs done and what they will do. They removed and put in a new ceiling fan, fixed the jury rigged switch previous owners had installed, and removed and installed new outdoor security lighting, while also taking care of a few outlets and odd things along the way. Dan is a great guy to work with and offered his number if we had any questions or he could assist the air conditioning contractor in any way.

This was a little complicated because of existing brick wall in old house, required a few trips to attic but they figured it out quickly and did an excellent, tidy job. Real Pros.

Having seen others who've had communication issues in the past, I thought it would be helpful for others to know how to set their expectations. If my number was lost, that's kind of a bad sign. If they are unwilling or unable to call back a potential customer, that's bad, too. First impressions matter, and being unresponsive is never a good sign. Someone else will get my business. *UPDATE* We did get a call back from a rep five days later, explaining that he was on vacation. Credit for calling back, but still a week later, and if there's only one person who can call you back, doesn't fill me with confidence to do business with them.

I called today (Monday) and asked if someone could come out today because the wiring issue was in our garage, and the power was turned off in the garage my car inside. They were able to get someone out in the afternoon, and they fixed the problem right away.The electricians were very knowledgeable and professional. The representative on the phone was also very professional and helpful.

Went well. They provided a crew of three and they stayed until finished despite complications.

Arrived late due to dispatcher error. Re-connected exterior floodlights; got them all working, Tried unsuccessfully to correct a ceiling fan problem (2 fans on the same code). Diagnosed problem with kitchen under-cabinet light fixtures. Good guys.

It went very well. They came out and check all electrical issues and fix a few minor issues at that time. They had to keep engaging with me and my insurance company because the insurance company was extremely difficult in the settlement of my claim. They even provide information to the insurance company they really shouldn't have had to do without complaint. I have full trust and confidence in them and will continue to use them for any and all future electrical needs. Highly recommend.

Contacted the office about getting an estimate on Monday. I was told someone would call on Wednesday to schedule an appointment for an estimate. No one ever called back.

We didn't move forward with it. It was fairly easy to get them to come out. Being on the phone is difficult for me. Anything that you can do online or through email is my deal. I didn't have to speak to anyone I don't feel, so that was good. I purchased the fixtures and they said that they weren't the right ones. I don't have a receipt so I tried to take them back to the hardware store. I'm hoping to move and sell the house. I don't know that I'm going to need that service anymore. The quote was between $200 and $250. I thought they were high.

They did a good job. They didn't charge extra for the second time.

From Cristi's scheduling to Martin's work on my landscape lighting and tripping breakers, this was a great experience. I highly recommend Zubras.

I have used Zubras several times before, including using them for some electrical work at my parents' house. They usually do great work at a fair price. They did fine this time withe the outlets and 3-way switch. However, they are being dinged for the fan installation. It was a new one, and I asked them to make sure that they let me know if there was anything they needed to complete the installation. I went to work, and my wife stayed home for their visit. From downstairs, the fan works fine (one story house.) I had the attic insulated with spray cellulose over the following three days. After going up to inspect the cellulose, I did not notice any vent tubing where the fan was installed. We ran the fan (since that area was now covered with cellulose) and discovered that the Zumbras techs did not attach one. Okay, did it come with one? As it turns out, no. But I did NOT have the box anymore to check to see, since it appears that the techs threw the box away afterward (at least my wife says she didn't toss it, and it's nowhere to be found), and did not tell us that there was no vent tubing included. I checked an identical box at Home Depot, and confirmed that there was no vent tubing. HOWEVER, there WAS included a 6" to 4" conversion piece, so that venting COULD be put on. But NOW I don't have that piece, do I, since it was tossed with the box? Nor could I register the fan with the manufacturer. I had to go buy a $20 conversion piece from Home Depot to attach to the fan box. That's why they are getting dinged with this review. Come on, folks, that wasn't very cool. UPDATE - I got a call from the folks at Zubras, who read my review, and said they would mail me the $20 I had to pay for the conversion piece. That was nice of them. HOWEVER, the $20 never arrived....

Very quick, professional and great job.

The technician was polite, friendly and did a good job.

They were very responsive. Knowing that my power was out during a snowstorm, they rearranged their schedule to get me to the top of the list. They fixed the problem within a few hours and I was able to return to my home and get the heater restarted.
