I was satisfied with the work.

After getting numerous estimates from national firms and big box stores, I acted on recommendation from a handiman that had performed home repairs earlier this year. After contacting the Window Lady and receiving several estimates based on different manufacturers we chose to contract with her. Two significant factors were in play: 1) the cost was at least 20% less for equivalent windows from other vendors and 2) the quality and energy efficiency was at least equal to if not better than that of other vendors. From time of order to delivery and start of work was about 3 weeks, some of which time delay was due to travel on my part. Her installation crew was highly professional and obviously took great pride in their workmanship. We uneqivocally recommend the Window Lady as one of the best vendors we have dealt with in years. She is thorough, well versed in her products, and operates without high pressure sales techniques and dubious "discount" offers.

Marjorie was quick to respond via phone and email on all occasions. Things happened when she said they would and the way she said they would (her initial visit, her proposal, the measurements, the installation). She made practical suggestions to go with the style of the home. She explained how the windows were made and why, and she clearly explained how the work would be done. The work crew arrived on time and worked steadily. They were as clean as possible with a job like this (though I did have to provide the sheets to cover furniture since they didn't have any that day. I was happy they asked for them!) They vacuumed the areas and cleaned the glass at the end of the project. The windows were GREAT at keeping out the cold this winter and are doing a wonderful job fighting back the heat in this record-breaking summer. I really can tell the difference.

Marjie came out earlier to advise and measure -- she suggested a casement window for above the kitchen sink, and told us the installer would have no problem pulling out the dryer to install a window behind it, and then replacing the dryer. There are 21 windows in the house and Marjie has replaced them all in affordable stages--this being the last stage. Erik, the installer came the next day to measure and then a couple of days later the bid arrived by email. We approved the bid and mailed a signed contract and 35% deposit ($941). Her bid noted that we would qualify for an energy credit of about $700. About 2 weeks later, Marjie sent an email suggesting a date and time for installation. Erik arrived with the windows and a packet of info on the date we agreed. Installation is described above. The info packet included what we needed to do to obtain the tax credit. We are thrilled with everything.
