They're good. They're just a bit more costly. They probably can reach out to some of their customers who have older plans and advise them of things that might be able to save them more money. They could be more proactive with their customers.

I got a corporate discount. They are the only service I can get out of here. The price could be better. They have a huge network, so I have never experienced any drop calls.

Failed to show up for the first appointment. I rescheduled and they changed this appointment after rescheduling. Finally when service was completed another technician came the next day to install. Their scheduling is a joke. I cancelled after 2 months because of unexplained cost added to my monthly bill.
Description of Work: Was supposed to install cable service on a specified date and time.

I would advise Texas customers not to sign with Verizon Fio's --- I expect there will be lots of problems in the near future for their customers in Texas, California and Florida.
Description of Work: I just wanted to comment on the recent news that Verizon Fio's has been sold to frontier for Texas, California and Florida. I have had a few problems with Verizon Fio's over the last few years but from what I hear that is nothing compared to that problems with service, speed and customer service that frontier customers deal with. It looks like I will be shopping early for a new provider!!

I have been a Verizon customer for approximately 10 years and have been mostly satisfied with the customer service until now. I moved my 81 year old mother from Kansas City, MO to our location, Lewisville, TX so she could be close to family. While setting her apartment utilities up I recommended Verizon FIOS services (TV,Internet,Phone) to her verses Time Warner. She'd been with Time Warner for 20 years, however, due to my experience with Verizon and price I recommended she go with Verizon. In her latest bill with Verizon she was charged $54.99 for watching "WWE TLC TABLES LADDERS N CHAIRS HD". There is NO WAY my mother would watch this show. The extent of the programs my mother watches are Blue Bloods, Law and Order, Criminal Minds and NCIS. There may be some other miscellaneous law/law enforcement shows she watches but that's it! Verizon can also see what she's watch previously and WRESTLING shows is not one of them. My sister and I do have keys to my mother's apartment, however, as 10 year Verizon customers our viewing history will show we are not in to WRESTLING either. I would be happy to offer access to our account history as will my sister. I spoke with a Verizon supervisor at 5:45pm local, 01/19/2015, Dan from Iowa and was extremely disappointed with his response. My point to Dan was you have a 81 year old lady, living alone in a Seniors home recovering from a stroke. She was a 20 year customer with Time Warner, took my recommendation to go with Verizon and (2) months in to her service you charge her $54.99 for something she (and I) know she didn't watch. Dan said the show was viewed and therefore there was nothing he could do. Really???? I made one more attempt to reconcile this matter with a Verizon representative, Brian, 7:50pm local, same day. While Brian was more cordial than Dan, he had nothing to offer in the way of reconciliation other than he would notate it on my mother's account. Normally, I do not spend time complaining about something unless I feel very strong about it. This complaint is a matter of principal. Because I recommended Verizon to my mother I will be paying the $54.99. My recommendation to Verizon customer service is review how you treat your Senior citizen customers.

The best service is the internet and the phone service is good. When you first call and get the computer system it goes quick but when you want to speak to someone it takes like 30 minutes. When you do get a person on the phone most of the time it goes pretty quick to help you with your issues which is very helpful if you don't need a service call.

Verizon raised my monthly bill $40.00 without reason or explanation or additional services. From one month to the next, they increased my payment and are extremely difficult to reach and get any kind of reasonable satisfaction. I find their actions unethical and offensive.

I've been using them for 2 1/2 years. The billing is paid monthly out of my checking. I know I would have a price break if I had a bundle. They should give me the price break anyway. I haven't talked to them since I had it set up. I will continue to use them.

Product wise, they were fine. Their system is not as user friendly as ATand T, but, their service is absolutely horrible. We started getting their service by their solicitation in April and did not get service until December. They did a total mess up. In our neighborhood, they actually had direct fiber-optics coming into your house. You didn't share it with anyone else. They hired a company to come house to house to finish explaining the service and all, which was fine. The guy was nice and great, but, it's a long story. Then we got all messed up and it was just a mess. We ended up going and applying 3 times. It was just a mess. We had a security freeze on our account, so, they had to verify credit before they would apply it. He couldn't do that there since we had that freeze on it. They asked these stupid security questions and you don't remember what you say. We couldn't remember. My husband's disabled, so, he couldn't remember what the answer to the question was. Even the guy was there and he had the reference there, our ID and all, but, since he wasn't an employee, they wouldn't accept it. They made him come into the store and it just was just a mess. We got mad and quit. Then, we came back because ATand T in that location kept freezing, we weren't getting a great service there. It took us 3 different times and they checked our credit 6 times which doesn't help credit rating any. Every time they do that, it lowers it. They finally came in December. It was catastrophe. The house was a mess. My husband had, had surgery. They were supposed to be there. They came to the door. We're there. We never hear them. We opened the door at one point and there's a sign on there that said, " we came to install and no answer." We have dogs. We did not hear them. If they had knocked on the door, the dogs would have heard them. It took us another 2 weeks for them to get out. Since, they missed us, it got into a big deal, and they gave us free HBO after I came unglued. I would not recommend them. Their service people on the phone was absolutely horrendous. There's no communication. They say, "Let me go check this." They would start over and say I don't have record of this number the guy gave you last. It's that kind of deal. I just don't recommend them. At that point, we had a land line. We had the land line, internet and cable. It was just a bad thing. Their price is pretty comparable with everybody else. Actual working service was an A. Phone service personnel was an F. Everything worked fine. Getting it set up with service people was bad. I would not go with them in the future. We are fine. Live and learn.
Description of Work: In Dallas, we used Verizon for internet and TV cable. I had it for about a year and a half. I last had it last November. It began in December of 2010. It's probably about $90 a month. We had rebates on the price. They provided internet and fiber-optic cable.
