Excellent. The technicians arrived on time and did not waste any time addressing our issues. They suggested some minor fixes to my miscellaneous plumbing issues while they descaled my tankless water heater.

I had an A/C put in my attic, they screwed up the threads and didn’t catch it, or didn’t care. So, I had a gas leak for 8 years. They had to go up there and they actually found 2 more. I started smelling gas and I thought having the house explode would not be very productive. So, they came out here. They knocked a small hole in my ceiling and a guy was supposed to come out and fix it, and he never came out. I just told them forget it, it’s not worth it. They’re carry through was not what I would expect.

I have used them for almost anything in the area. They are prompt and they clean up their mess.

It was under warranty so it was free.

We had a running toilet. In stead of replacing just flap, I asked UM to replace toilet's innards. I asked price. He said $127. (More on that...) Plumber showed up on time with an assistant and/or journeyman apprentice, whose role was very unclear. I showed him toilet, told him I wanted to have the guts replaced. I asked price. He said $127.(More on that...) He did what I asked inside a half hour. He then told me that I had the small loop of water that goes into toilet was leaking, and old and out of code. He said he could fix it. It had not leaked before. He said it could break at any time and could flood the house. I agreed to the fix. I agreed, uneasily. They then spent over an hour and a half replacing the pipe, complete with blow-torch. While they were in their truck at the end, I went and looked at the replacement. They had badly scorched wall-paper around the inlet. (Lead plumber did not mention that until I pointed it out.) He said that the intake pipe had a short shank and he had had to sweat the coupling off. He said everything was fine now. I had strong uneasy feeling that I had been taken advantage of; if the coupling was on that tight, why was it leaking suddenly? If not, he had decided to change something that had worked without a hitch. The charge was $371.00. He wanted me to sign something that said I had paid on his phone. I asked for a invoice or paper work completed, which he said would have to be mailed to me. (They did.) I had an identical toilet innards replacement about nine months ago. It cost $127. I will not contract with United Mechanical again.

The technician arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Pricing is transparent and very reasonable.

Had a blocked drain on Saturday morning. Called United Mechanical and left a message. After three days did not receive a return call. Had to call another plumber to get the work done.

If I could have given them better than an "A" I would have. I received a few lower quotes but once I met the gentlemen that came to our home there was such a comfort level, it was well worth a few extra dollars. They were quick, honest and I will not be using anyone else in the future for our plumbing needs. If there was any constructive criticism at all....would be that they had just implemented a new pricing schedule and have gone from an hourly rate to an "on the spot" quote which was great for us but you could tell the process was still a little to new to the techs. AGAIN...let me stress...that was a minor glitch in the overall experience that didn't bother us at all. Thank you again!

The company managed to get someone scheduled to come out the same day. Several other companies that I called could not schedule the service call for the same day. The repairmen showed up as promised, located the source and fixed the leak quickly. They explained how the leak occurred. I would definitely use this company again!

Overall I gave them a "B" because they are known in town as being on the high end. They do a great job, are very quick and do stand behind their work, but expect to pay for it!

We have been using them for over 10 years and probably would not use anybody else. There is not a long waiting period to have them come out. They are prompt and honest. We have three systems in the house and they were all about 20 years old except for individual parts that are failed or repaired or replaced in fact they haven't try to tell us system only sell us individual component that was failed and I feel that they are very honest, but they are not the cheapest. We would continue to use them in the future.

I would recommend them highly. They're very responsive. I've used them for years. I used them for heating and air conditioning. I feel they're very dependable and honest. If I have any of those kinds of problem, they're who I call.

United Mechanical sent out 2 men, who went up into the attic, and basically said that my system was installed improperly, and that I needed additional equipment. They found a filter laying on the floor of the attic, that was used, and said that this was a good filter for my system. they did not mention that I did not have a filter currently installed. What makes this bad, is that I had a service agreement with United Mechanical, and their technicians were the last people in my attic, and they just left this used filter in my attic, and did not replace it, or tell me it needed replacing. This filter installs in the unit that is in the attic. This filter does not go in your ceiling register and is significantly more expensive. instead the tech installed a cheaper filter in the ceiling return. Back to the 2 men who came out. They were not at my house more than 5 minutes total, and that visit cost me $69.00. The entire time they were at the house, they had an attitude. They said since I needed additional equipment, someone else would have to come out to discuss that with me. So basically $69.00 for nothing. I did get a call from their salesperson. He came out, went up to the attic, and said that with the small space in my attic the installation I had was about as good as I could get, however I did need an additional return, and that would improve the air flow. He saw the used filter, and didn't understand why it was just laying there. I explained what I knew, and he seemed embarrassed about what had happened. I explained that if I had been informed of the filter I would have paid the extra for the better filter. He gave me a quote for the work to install an additional return. He also set up to have a tech bring out a new filter. My yearly service agreement was up for renewal this spring and I had not called to renew yet, and I had not had my unit checked out yet. he said he would have someone come out and clean my unit. I thought he was doing this because I had was somewhat upset with my prior service. A time was set up for the tech to come out. He was an hour later than what I was told he would be there. He was in no hurry, and no way apologetic for being so late. For this visit, I received no paperwork. I knew the price of the filter, but I did not know was going to be charged for the cleaning. I received, what I thought was going to be a bill, but it was a bill, and a receipt for a credit card charge, that I didn't approve. Not only was I charged for the filter, but I also charged for a service agreement renewal, that I never asked for. I have used United Mechanical for years, and I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. Needless to say, they will not be adding an additional return. I wanted to let others know of my experience.

This is a relationship that has been maintained for many years, and in North Texas the last thing you want is to lose heat or a/c when needed. I am very satisfied with UM.

No problems with United Mechanical. I did have some problems scheduling a time with the brick layer to repair the wall.

I have used this company for some time. They do competent work and I am satisfied they do not make unnecessary or unwarranted repairs. Major gripe is the long window of time in which the service will be performed.and, in my view, an unnecessarily wide time frame. Repair was done expeditiously once they arrived at my home. They take care to minimize cleanup issues.

I've had the knobs on this faucet fixed on several different occasions and have always had trouble with the handles slipping afterward. This time the faucet handles feel secure and tight. They work better than they ever have. The repairman also gave me a few tips to help keep the issue from happening again. They were very professional and quick. It was more expensive than I think it needed to be, but I believe it is comparable to other companies. I would definitely hire them again.

Their service is excellent! The office personnel are always courteous and efficient. They are very helpful in with making appointment around my schedule. They called to let me know that the technition was on the way. The service people were timely, polite and courteous. They were very respectful of my home. They wore shoe covers when they entered my home. They were very careful to clean up any mess they made. They made sure everything was working before they left. I definitely will continue to use them for all of my plumbing and A/C needs. I would recommend them to anyone!

The leak was in a line buried under mud in the crawl space. The plumber and assistant pumped the standing water out, found the leak, and repaired it. The job was well done under diffucult circumstances.

They ended up having to go through the wall, but were very good. We have no complaint.

A/C stopped blowing cold on a Saturday afternoon with tempreatures in the low 90 degree range. We consulted Angies List and found a well rated and nearby company that was also open on Saturday. The company was United Mechanical. I called and was pleasantly answered by a woman who said she'd have the technician call back within 20 minutes. He called back in about 5 minutes.He set an appointment fr 6:15pm, right as I was to return from hurch. When I pulled into the drive a little late at about 6:20 pm he was there waiting -- and had already looked at the outside unit and diagnoed the problem. 20 minutes later he was done and I had clod air again. The tech was clean, polite and professional. This was an excellent experience with only one negative. On weekends, United charges a minimum of $300 PLUS the service charge, so $350 for the call, plus parts. We didn't want to wait until Monday -- hard to sleep in a house over 90 degrees -- so we paid up. There is an old saying that you can have any two of three when it comes to speed, quality of service, and price. And so it goes. But, wow!

They're very reputable, very honest, cost-effective, and professional. They do great.

Overall, they are excellent. They are extremely good.

I called United Mechanical when Quigley said the unit couldn't be fixed and quoted me $7,000 for a new unit. United Mechanical came out, replaced the faulty parts, quoted me $784.00 then the invoice came in at $536.00. Incredibly honest! Don't go anywhere else!
