Texas Oasis Landscape

Not having the courtesy to call speaks volumes regarding Texas Oasis' integrity and customer service.

David responded promptly and went to the location 2 days later to give an accurate estimate. This was a rental house that had some severe drainage issues. The work was completed 3 weeks after the estimate which was acceptable for me. The job was completed in one day in a professional manner. This is the second time I've used this company and wouldn't hesitate using them again. David also spoke with my tenant and provided advice to improve the yard.

The design and work product of Texas Oasis is truly outstanding. Thomas Foraker came to our house listened to our ideas and came back with a detailed drawing and quotation. The company has excellent design skills. I called him on several occasions during the remodeling process to fine tune details of the plan. He was always reachable or returned my calls promptly. His workers always showed up when they were supposed to and were skilled at their jobs plus the project was completed on schedule. The value received for the price was excellent. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They are committed to excellence and outstanding customer service.

We needed a French Drain because the water was ponding in our front yard. It would take days to soak in and I was worried about the damage to the foundation. Texas Oasis was one of the contractors i called based on positive reviews on Angies list. David came over quickly for a free estimate. He carefully studied the area and gave me couple of suggestions based on how the natural slope was. He appeared to be knowledgeable and patiently answered all the questions. His estimate was lower than all except one contractor but in the end i was most confident giving him the job. His crew of 2 men arrived right on time on scheduled date. They spoke limited english but were professional and friendly. They did an amazing job of keeping the entire area clean during the process and hauled away the excess dirt afterwards. 2 days after the job, there was a storm on March 15 and the drain had no problems getting rid of the excess water. Overall, i think the job was done to my satisfaction.

Thomas Foraker was our contact and project manager; he really listened to our needs and concerns and developed a plan and estimate that met and exceeded our needs. Mr. Foraker also included some drainage solutions that will prevent any ponding of water coming out of the drain spouts. We have a low-maintenance and attractive landscape solution that we are very pleased with. We plan on using Oasis again this spring for further work - it was a really great experience.

Leveled the front yard. Took out existing hedges in front. Planted all new flowers and bushes. Put in complete sprinkler system to entire yard. Planted 2 new trees in front yard.

The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. The quote and plans they presented were very nice but we liked the plans from another landscape company better. I do not feel it is right to take plans and farm them out to the cheapest person. I would recommend them and will consider them for future projects

David came out quickly and gave a free quote. I had several contractors look at the drainage problem and the price range to fix it was in the $2000-$3000 range. Every one of them had a different idea of how to fix the problem! One thought I needed a sump pump, another said a french drain was required, and a couple others said surface drains would work. Texas Oasis offered me a 6" pipe which was probably more than I needed but the price was competitive with the other contractors who wanted to put in a 4" pipe. I got the sense that David from Texas Oasis knew what he was talking about which is why I went with his company along with the reasonably priced quote. It took them a couple weeks to get to the job since they were busy. But once they started, they sent over a team of workers (that didn't speak much english but seemed friendly) that finished the job in less than a day. It appears that they carefully redirected all my sprinkers around the new pipe.

My house was scheduled to have extensive foundation repairs along the side of the house where my french drain was positioned. Instead of patching and repairing the 23 year old french drain, I decided it would be better to have it replaced after the foundation contractor had completed his work. I contacted 3 drainage vendors from Angies List. All three inspected the job site and provided their recommendations and quotes. It did require running a drain pipe under my drive way and 50 feet down the alley. To my suprise, I selected the same contractor that put the original french drain in some 23 years earlier. David Block, a partner with Texas Oasis, was the same person that quoted and installed the original french drain in 1990. A crew of 2 men started on Monday morning hand digging the trench to hold the new rigid pipe. Soon it started raining and raining and raining. What a mess to work in. Using a surveyor sighting tool they measured to insure the drain pipe would slope was meeting specifications of 1/8 inch per foot of pipe. It was 85 feet to the drive way and 70 feet down the alley. On the second day, they hired a contractor to cut a slot across the concrete driveway, it took about 30 minutes to compete. They completed the trench down the alley and then mixed concrete to patch the driveway. The patch doesn't look to noticeable, for they ran along an existing seam and blended in with the rest of the driveway. With 6 surface drains now functioning the potential flooding from Texas rains has been greatly reduced.

David was very nice and professional when he gave the estimate and throughout the whole process. They came when they were supposed to, and had the work done in two days. They were neat and tidy while the work was going on and everything looked nice when they were finished. It has yet to rain for me to see how it really works, but I tested it with the hose and it seems to work fine. I'd recommend these guys for sure. (I also got bids from a couple other Angie's List providers, who were also nice and probably do good work, but this was the lowest cost estimate and would have the same result as the more expensive options offered by the other companies).

The job went very well and it was completed in a day. I was very happy with the end result and Tom was very accommodating and gave detailed information on how I needed to maintain everything in the short term and long term and made sure I was happy with the result and made sure I didn't hesitate to contact them if there was any problem in the short term and they would come out and figure out what needed to be done.

Everything went just as Dave said it would, from start to finish. The crew did an excellent job and left the property looking fantastic! We couldn't be happier. The two-man crew came out and manually dug a 21" deep trench across the back of the house, around the patio and down the side of the house out to the street, going under the sidewalk to drain into the street. The entire length of the trench was graded to accommodate an easy flow along the drain. They first installed a fabric lining, then a layer of stones, on which they set perforated piping. The perforated piping ran along the back of the house and around the corner of the foundation. On top of the perforated piping they placed solid piping to which the attached two of the downspouts. The perforated piping stopped on the side of the house and was joined to the solid pipe, leaving one solid pipe to drain out to the street. The guys replaced all the turf and filled in the trench to look like nothing had been done. The next two days we had rain (y-a-a-y!) and the drain did exactly what Dave said it would - it directed it to the street and we had not ponding. A very professional experience from start to finish. Dave the woner came by to review my drainage situation and recommended a solution. Three months later I decided to go ahead with the work quoted. The execution went very smooth and work was delivered on time at the price quoted! The drain seems to be working fine. I can definately recommend them.

David designed a creative and practical solution to our chronic drainage problem while Tom created a landscape design that greatly improved the appearance of an area that had been an eyesore for a long time. Both David and Tom supervised the work of their crews. The Texas Oasis installation crews were careful, competent and cleaned the site every day. These guys are nice, professional, and know their stuff. They left my yard looking like there were not even there. Replanted grass, moved mulch to cover the hole dug, etc. I enjoyed doing business with them and would do so again. Highly recommend.

Great on time, did all work quickly. Looks fantastic.

Everything ran very smoothly. The drainage was installed first. Then the irrigation system was put in and the landscaping was completed. Everyone was very professional and they finished when they said they would. We love the way it looks. I also appreciated the time spent to explain how the control system works with the irragation system. We felt that the money was worth what we received in services and product.

Wonderful company. David took time to understand my drainage problems, made sure I would have the proper grading for drainage and explained everything to me. His crew was always on time and worked very hard. They installed drain pipe and drains along my back pation connecting to downspouts, going under sidewalks and extending the drainage system along the side of the house out to the front curb. They were very careful around landscaping. Thanks to this company, I can now enjoy the patio since it doesn't flood anymore. We have had several hard rains and the drains have worked beautifully. I recommend this company for sure!

This is the 2nd time we've hired TX Oasis to perform drainage work. Once again, they did an excellent job. Our backyard drainage was a "disaster", partly due to a poor landscaping job from a different contractor, where lakes of water would accumulate on flagstone patios and mulch would wash away. David's team carefully hand-trenched through the backyard preserving as many of the plants as possible. He replaced poor pipe installation w/4" PVC and drain box. He used a survey type device to ensure we had the proper 1%+ grading to the back alley. Before, it took 15+ min for water to drain to the alley, after it took just a few minutes.

Dallas Gutters referred us to David Block of Texas Oasis for the underground drainage portion of our project. David spent 2 hours analyzing and assessing the drainage needs at our house. He was very meticulous and thorough with his on site review going so far as taking a hose and putting water down existing drains and watching where the water came out and how long it took. He took grade measurements of our home as well. We hired him and his crew to install underground drainage in the East side of the house because that was the biggest problem area. Several days before work started, David scheduled Digtess to mark and flag the utility lines, etc. His crew showed up on time and finished work the same day. We had just completed a huge re-landscaping project, so I asked David to ask his crew to be careful of all the new landscaping/hardscaping. His crew worked diligently despite 100+ degree temps that day. They did a very good job, and we spoke w/David about taking care of the Backyard drainage problems.
