Texas fiberglass pools came to the house, inspected pool and advised on repair. They drained the pool, ground off epoxy paint, repaired problem areas, put down new fiberglass mat, gel coated and sealed. Took about four days. The pool looks brand new, could not be happier with the repair and the professionalism of the staff.

As usual, I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. As happens at least once per year, my cleaner suction line got clogged so I had to call Oliver to have his crew come fix it. I left a check outside for the service (they always make it easy for me) and was SUPPOSED to leave the gate unlocked, but somehow forgot that second part and then missed their call while I was working when they tried to let me know they couldn't get in. Long story short, I apologized to Oliver and even offered to pay more for the inconvenience since they would have to make the trip out to Grand Prairie again, and he graciously declined and said no problem. The next day, the job was performed timely and correctly, as usual.

It went very well. The estimated time to complete was two weeks, and the work was done in that time frame. The workers started working early in the morning, worked as quietly as possible and cleaned up nicely along the way, including after all the work was done.

I have a 30 year old fiberglass pool and was present during the install. Due to the age, and mistakes I made in not keeping the proper chemical balance for years, the pool surface was in terrible condition. Not only were there small cracks all around the pool rim, but I had blistering (small hard bumps) all over the pool walls and floor. My local pool store owner recommended resurfacing but had no recommendations for a quality fiberglass resurfacing company. He warned me to expect to pay $15,000 for a proper resurfacing, but said, with a 28,000 gallon in-ground pool, it was a better option than a $50,000 total replacement. I first searched locally around Oklahoma City for a reputable fiberglass pool resurfacing company. I found none. Then I searched all over the entire state of Oklahoma, with no success. I then called every major pool supply and pool installation company asking them if they could even recommend a company from anywhere. They were unable to recommend a company for fiberglass repairs, let alone complete resurfacing. Finally I gave up and decided to look out-of-state. Then I discovered Texas Fiberglass Pools, Inc. From first contact, the company staff members were courteous, polite, and very knowledgeable. They provided detailed information covering: 1) How my pool came to it's current condition; 2) Why conditions worked together to result in the condition; 3) Detailed explanations covering the structure and mechanics of the pool components and manufactured materials; 4) Detailed explanations of all phases and time frames to expect for resurfacing phases to completion; 5) Optimal products to return my pool to industry-standard conditions for years; 6) Recommendations for other non-surfacing-related repairs and part replacements; 7) Following free on-site inspection, the total, no-surprises, turnkey, total cost to return my pool to optimal condition. I couldn't be happier with how quickly this out-of-state company completed my extensive pool job from start to completion. I also couldn't be happier with the quality of the individuals that were on my job-site, their constant explanations and communication before, during, and after the project completion. Even with final check in hand, at the closing meeting, the owner took a great deal of time to provide me documentation and instructions on how to properly care for my pool to maximize my, virtually brand new, swimming pool, ensuring that I would maximize my benefits from their company warranty for years to come. The owner offered his own personal contact information, as well as contact information for one of his post-sale employees, for any and all questions down to product information and pool chemical maintenance. That's when I realized I hadn't just hired a resurfacing company, I just hired a pool repair and consulting company partner to assist me in caring for my pool as long as I and family owned it for years to come.

It went very well. They finished the project very quickly.

This pool was at the point where it needed to be removed or replaced with a new pool. It was no longer functional. The cost to install a new gunite pool started around $55,000 dollars which was more than I wanted to spend. I called Texas Fiberglass Pools and Gabriel came out and explained what they could do with the pool. He gave me a quote on the spot and we agreed on the price which was less than half the cost of putting in a new pool. They began work within a couple of weeks and worked on the pool steadily until it was complete. It was truly amazing the extent of work and remodeling that was performed to make the pool look and work like a new pool. I would highly recommend Texas Fiberglass Pools for anyone that is considering remodeling their fiberglass pool. Thank You

I have dealt with a lot of pool companies over the years and I will have to say Texas Fiberglass Pools is by far the most professional pool company I have ever had any dealings with. All the commitments that they made to me were followed up in an itemized estimate by email. Any change orders or payments were also followed up by email with notes and comments we had discussed. The crews were extremely polite and very hard working. They were on time every day in clean identifying uniforms and did nothing but work. Every day they picked up their tools and cleaned the area of all trash. If they said they would be back in the morning, unlike the other pool companies, they were there on time ready to start work again. I would recommend if you need pool repairs, this should be your only call. If I need any pool information in the future this will be my only call.

After flooding rain, the side of my pool finally gave up and ruptured. I already had several bulges in my fiberglass from several leaks that was causing the sand to settle. It was just a matter of time before one of the sides gave in. In addition to the bulges the fiberglass was showing a lot of wear and just looked unsightly. After calling Texas Fiberglass Pools, Gabriel came out to talk to me about what they could do for me. He said that they specialized in major fiberglass pool repairs and he showed me several pictures of jobs he had in progress. The pictures were not staged and were obviously just snap shots taken from his ipad. It was nice to see 'real' pictures of the work being performed. He provided me the initial quote for the repairs needed and he explained that once the pool was drained (very green and we could not see how bad the rest of the pool was) there might be additional work needed and provided me a tentative quote up front. After signing the contract they drained the pool the following day and my worst fears were true: the whole floor was buckled and there was a crack going into the skimmer. Throughout the repairs Gabriel kept in constant contact with me providing updates on their progress. The guys that did the work were fast and professional and always cleaned up after themselves. I was pretty skeptical when Gabriel said they were going to cut into my pool to make repairs, but now that it is done, the pool is better than new. I can't say enough good things about the entire crew. Everything that Gabriel told me from the beginning (time frames, order of work, expected problems, etc) was true and they did not try and nickle and dime the cost up. The price he quoted me (once he drained the pool and we got a better view of the condition of the pool) was the price I paid in the end. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs major fiberglass repairs to their pool.

As always, Oliver and his crew are great...very trustworthy and do what they say they will. They actually replaced my pump gasket first, and when the pump still leaked, they checked again and found it was a cracked housing, which they ordered on my behalf and did not charge me to install. I highly recommend these guys...not too many quality companies around for fiberglass companies so they were a lucky find.

4/23/15 *UPDATE: Okay so originally as seen below we were pleased, but things have changed over last few months. One end of the pool it lifted at coping causing about an 8 or 9 foot crack between coping and tile, took 5 months to come do warranty repair, they said were waiting to repair for warmer weather, so okay I can understand that, when they finally came they repaired it but did not finish, the did not replace the mastic,..the mastic has been missing for nearly a month...on top of that on April 8th we get this email (see below) But no one showed up to clean our pool. Called Heidi, emailed, she has never responded. Several days later after texting and calling Gabriel (the sales guy) he says they are no longer cleaning and servicing pools only repairing them. By now my pool is a mess and I am not very happy that they gave no notice and do not respond to calls and emails. Not very professional in my opinion, and we have spent over $30k with them. So now I am hunting for a new pool service that knows how to take care of fiberglass and I'm sure due to the condition Texas Fiberglass left my pool in that the initial cleaning is going to be expensive. I would no longer recommend them, as they do not respond...still waiting for response when they will put the mastic in that is supposed to be under warranty. Maybe if they see this review they will return calls and emails?? Picture below. Oliver and Gabriel were a pleasure to deal with. Work began within a day or two of agreeing on work and price. Crews quickly drained pool and began repairs to fiberglass in two days. Found problems with skimmer and spent another day replacing it and all input lines. Resurfaced the entire pool with gelcoat and replaced deck with matching cool deck . All this done in about 8days. At the end they found a problem with the skimmer line. They came out a day later and ran a new line and fixed the cool deck again for no additional cost. It seems to be working great now and looks like new pool. They are all very professional, and will be sure that in the end, things are working properly. I would recommend this company based my experience.

They even cleaned off all my deck furniture which was covered with a thin coating of fiberglass dust.One of the owners came out and measured my pool (20, 0000 gal) and told me what would be involved in refinishing it. He explained thoroughly all the steps his company would take to make sure everything was done correctly. The price was reasonable and we signed the contract. Within a week the crew had completely sanded off all the old coating. A couple of really cold days kept them from working but it was totally finished within a two week period, from the date I signed the contract. After the pool was filled back up, they balanced the chemicals and cleaned all the leaves out that had blown in with a storm. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! My pool looks brand new. Everything was done with the utmost professionalism, punctuality and cleanliness. They even cleaned off my patio furniture, which had accumulated a light coating of blue fiberglass dust. I was so impressed with this company that I am signing a weekly pool care contract with them, to make sure everything stays balanced and my warranty stays in force. Highly recommend!!

We purchased a foreclosure and the pool was in total disrepair and totally cracked in 1/2. Oliver and his crew came out and cut the pool in half, reinforced the pool with rebar, installed staples in all other minor cracks, fixed a plumbing leak, and fiberglassed the pool. They also gave us a 5 year warranty. The crew worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. I did have one small issue which after a phone call was taken care of the next day. The other companies that i talked to would wanted to install a new pool or would not even qoute the work or provide a warranty. I have waited almost one year before writing a review to see if the cracks would come back. Everything is like the day texas fiberglass pools left. Highly recommended!

After the nasty storms that swept through the metroplex last Thursday, my trees took a beating and dropped a ridiculous amount of leaves, branches, etc. into my pool while I was at work. Unfortunately, this all happened while my pool equipment was running. When I got home from work, I knew immediately there was a problem...the water was filthy (after having been crystal clear the day before), the cleaner wasn't even moving, and the skimmer was packed out the gate. I then took my entire cleaner and hose apart and thoroughly cleaned the tubes, removing hundreds of clogged leaves in the process. I even pulled my cartridge filter out and ran to a "do it yourself" car wash and blasted that thing out for 10 minutes...to no avail. In the end, it was obvious there was a more serious clog under the deck. So, having recently had a VERY positive experience with this company, I called Oliver again...actually, I texted him, which is SO convenient with my work schedule. Anyway, he said he could be out the next morning and blow it out. I was leaving town in the AM, so the next morning I just left the gate open for him, left a check under my back mat (again, I recently had his crew perform some work, and they were extremely honest, quality, and trustworthy), and hopped on a plane. He texted me later that morning and confirmed that they were all done and that everything went smoothly. Big or small, this company can be trusted to do the job honestly and right. I have never been home when they made repairs and they have never tried to take advantage of my lack of presence or ignorance to pool repair to turn a bigger profit for themselves (which unfortunately, does happen in this world)...and their work is good. I will continue to use them in the future, because as a pool owner, stuff happens!

This is not a short story. I had recently begun to collect estimates for the complete demolition of my pool and deck because I have been unable to solve a long-term cracking/leaking issue with our pool. A year ago I invested in a repair and replastering of the pool using a procedure that I thought would solve the problem ( I want to assert here that I have no issues with the work done a year ago. That contactor performed well, and I was in agreement with the approach taken in that repair. However, there was no warranty against those cracks returning, and the work was done with my full acknowlegdement of that fact). Those cracks reappeared late this summer and were severe enough that I was losing 300-400 gallons of water daily to the leaks. My resignation to these facts had me considering the expensive task of removing the deck and pool and restoring it to gardens and lawn. I was dejectedly surfing the net to see what else might be out there as a repair solution when I started reading about restoring plaster pools with fiberglass resurfacing. I wasn't too sure this would be any better than the solution I had tried a year ago, but I was intrigued enough to search Angie's List for a fiberglass pool contractor. Texas Fiberglass Pools jumped right to the top of the list. I called and asked if a representative could come discuss my long term problem with cracks and the unsuccessful efforts to eliminate them. Two days later Oliver Gonzales came at the appointed time to review my circumstances. I gave him the 3-year history of the problem and he was able to view the very visible cracks I had been fighting. Then he proceeded to tell me how Texas Fiberglass Pools would deal with my problems. I thanked him for his assessment, but told him I had made a significant investment a year ago. I was not ready to do that again with the chance that the solution might have a short shelf life. I was particularly concerned that the crack repair Oliver proposed would just shift the problem to another part of the pool. Oliver assured me otherwise, and stated that Texas Fiberglass Pools was so confident in it's methods that I would have a five year warranty against cracks if I elected to accept his proposal. So it was with that re-assurance that I entered an agreement with Texas Fiberglass Pools to perform the repairs and restoration. The project was handled in a timely and professional manner from the start. It began on a Tuesday and took about a week to complete. The crew (usually 3 or 4 men) showed up each day on time in company trucks and dressed in company shirts and worked diligently to complete the work. That consisted of emptying the pool, drying it out, performing a pressure test, addressing the visible cracks with steel staples, sanding the plastered surface to create a better bond, applying a primer coat, sanding the primer coat, laying fiberglass and smoothing any roughness, applying a final gel coat, doing brick and tile repair/replacement, and cleaning up all the details associated with all the work. After curing, the pool was refilled, and a tech representative arrived each day to treat the water until the water chemistry was where it was supposed to be. Then, after all that work and to my complete surprise, two workers from Texas Fiberglass Pools showed up unexpectedly to inspect the minor sealant repairs that had been done (about 6 feet). I wasn't sure what was going on but the workers put me on the phone with Oliver. Oliver told me he wasn't satisfied with the minor sealant repairs and told me (at no cost) he was going to remove and replace all of the sealant between the brick coping and deck (about 70 feet). So those two workers spent the next couple of hours removing, cleaning, taping and replacing all the joint material with a flexible sealant. This unscheduled work would have cost me, at least, several hundred dollars to have been completed. So I am particularly grateful for this generous courtesy. Only time will tell if the pool repairs completed by Texas Fiberglass Pools will hold up over the next few seasons. However, this time I have the comfort of a lengthy warranty. Almost as comforting as the warranty are the words of re-assurance and confidence in their methods that come from Oliver, (owner and sales) and his father-in law, Martin (owner and hands-on with the crews). I also received the same degree of care and re-assurance from Gabriel Chairez (sales and crews supervisor). These guys have been at this for a long time and have a lenghty list of satisfied customers, me included now. I really believe their methods will succeed where others have failed. If they do fail, I am confident that they will be there to honor their word and warranty.

Oliver (the owner) was very professional from the get-go. I made my initial appointment with him on a Saturday morning, and was pleasantly surprised when he showed up promptly on time in a new car that was "wrapped" in his company's branding, and was also professionally dressed (slacks, button down shirt, etc.). Not something that I'm used to seeing with contractors, but it definitely instilled a sense of professionalism and comfort from my perspective. Anyway, he identified the potential problem and scheduled a leak detection (which was outsourced to another provider, who also did excellent work). Upon determining that there was, in fact, a leak in the plumbing behind the shell of my pool and beneath the deck, Oliver advised that they would have to cut out a piece of my deck, repair the plumbing leak, re-pour the concrete, and re-stain it to match. I don't have an easy deck...it was stamped concrete stained multiple colors. He then scheduled the service the next week. Given my work schedule, it is tough for me to meet contractors during the day. However, by this time I could tell that I trusted Oliver, so I just left my gate open for his crew and went to work. They came, cut out the piece of the deck along the exact stamped concrete lines so that you could not tell it had even been cut, fixed the leak, and re-poured the concrete, and retextured it to match the rest of the deck perfectly. The next day they came out to stain and again, the match was flawless. To pay, after the work was complete, I simply left a check for Oliver under my door mat, which he collected after the job was complete. All in all, aside from having to deal with an unfortunately plumbing leak, the experience was great. in the unfortunate situation that I am forced to deal with any further fiberglass pool repairs (and if you aren't already aware, there aren't a lot of pool contractors locally in TX that are qualified to work on fiberglass), I would 100% use Oliver's company again, and would recommend him without hesitation. Oliver and his team were great! I have a 1970's pool that was showing its age, there were parts of the original gel-coat that had worn off exposing the fiberglass. They showed on the day we had scheduled. His team is busy, it took about a month from the time I paid down payment until the time the pool was finished. His crew is friendly, I would ask them questions when they were working and they would tell me about the Gel-coat process and answer any questions I had. They fixed the pool light which was not sealing properly. I liked the team at Texas Fiberglass Pools, so I have signed up for a Pool Service through them. I would recommend them!

Oliver and his team did a great job. Initially he answered all of my questions and committed to a price and schedule which they stuck to. As with any major project there were a couple of small blemishes that Oliver looked at and had his team repair. The pool absolutely transformed my backyard from 1970's to 2014. For what it's worth I would reccomend the white fiberglass. The water still looks crystal blue and white can be repaired over time and still match. It turned out better in white than I even expected. Oliver runs a professional business and is an expert on fiberglass pool refinishing. I would strongly reccomend his team.

I liked them so much that I signed up for weekly pool maintenance with them.
