I met Greg and Pablo from Texas Air Zone over a year ago when they were working on a neighbor's house. I was impressed by their professionalism and decided to call them when my HVAC system needed service. I have used Texas Air Zone three times since then and they have done a first-rate job every time. I've had Greg, Brett and Mike here at different times and they've always shown up on time, quickly determined what was wrong, explained my options clearly and answered all my questions patiently. They always worked quickly and efficiently and were very careful not to bring dirt into the house or damage anything. Unlike some other HVAC companies I've dealt with, they never tried to pressure me into buying additional products or services or agreeing to more work than we originally discussed. In fact, sometimes I asked if a certain part needed to be replaced and, after testing it, they told me it was starting to fail but if I didn't want to spend the money right now I could make it through the rest of the season without replacing it. What impresses me most is their attitude towards their customers. They seem to be genuinely interested in investing the time and effort to build goodwill with their customers and create repeat business rather than a quick one-time sale. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate me even when it must have been inconvenient for them. On two occasions I had to call them when my system stopped working suddenly. Both times Laura cheerfully said she would find a way to fit me in the same day. I have a feeling the technicians must have given up their lunch break or stayed after working hours but they managed to get here within hours of my call. Most-recently, I had to call because my furnace was only running intermittently. It was a problem that was difficult to diagnose because I couldn't reproduce it. Mike came out and tested everything. He repaired what he could with the available information but without being able to see the problem there was no way we could be sure it was fixed. Minutes after he left, the problem showed up again but it was nearly 5:00 pm by then. I called the office and spoke to Kelli. She asked me to hold while she called Mike who, I assume, must have been on his way home by then. In just a minute Kelli came back on the line and told me Mike was turning around and coming back so he could see the problem. I think another company would have just made an appointment to come back the next day, or later, but by coming back Mike was able to get the information he needed and determine the control board was failing. I apologized for asking him to come back but he said he was glad I did because now he could be certain he had found the problem. Mike made an appointment to replace the board as soon as the new one arrived and the furnace has worked fine ever since. Texas Air Zone literally goes the extra mile to keep their customers happy!

Isaac was the technician here. He is prompt in his appointment time. Very professional, listened to what I had to say, asked questions, Did the work in nearly the exact amount of time as he indicated. He gave me an estimate within 20 minutes of leaving my house for the initial appointment. He came back to my house on a Friday evening after I indicated that I was having an issue with the thermostat. This was awesome. Although he initially tested the thermostat, he found that my furnace controller was not programmed to read the thermostat (or any thermostat) correctly. He spent an additional 45 minutes working through this issue. Everything now works like a charm. The total cost of the work was $22 less than the estimate. I am a new home owner and I have reservations about any home service. These guys are great. I do not recommend services unless the service is excellent. I am serious as can be, this is a fantastic company. I will recommend this to anyone I know, as the service is unparalleled.

They were extremely thorough, in fact, they were initially here several hours and, then, scheduled a second appointment for a few more hours to explain their findings and recommendations on how our system could run more efficiently. They took the time to answer all our questions, seemed very knowledgeable, acted extremely professionally. I would highly recommend them.

I needed to replace my old Freon type unit, with one of the new EPA approved Freon units. Also replaced my Freon lines between inside and outside unit, which I recommend based on my research, if you are switching Freon types. The ductwork was somewhat expensive, which made the quote higher compared to others. But in the end, they replaced many of my older vents inside my house, and did the touch up paint and caulking to make it look good. Also, the duct work additions looked very good and they took time to talk to me about the ductwork options, so I knew what they were going to do ahead of time. And generally the team was professional and worked well together and with me. The initial contact with Texas Air Zone was excellent. He did a very good inspection of my house, which for a full system install, is really needed in my opinion. That means he went in attic, under the floor, and outside and inside, to look at A/C system and all ductwork. I requested a few quotes on different models and brands, as I was not sure what I wanted at first. And it took 1-2 weeks to go through a few quote requests, which seems like a long time, since I did not have A/C. But when I was in contact with my contact person, he was always willing to work with me. After the installation, a week later, I called them back to make adjustments and my contact came back out the same day!!! He stayed until it was resolved! And it has been perfect ever since. No charge, for the callback, since it was just installed and this is their policy. Strangely, the office waited a month before charging my credit card for the total amount. Just kind of weird, maybe they lost my paperwork at first.
Description of Work: Installed a full A/C system including the furnace on a split system with the furnace inside and the A/C compressor outside. Added some needed ductwork including an extra return air duct.

Service tech - Mark - arrived on time, complete with booties and drop-cloth to protect hardwood floors. Quickly diagnosed issue with furnace not turning on/in "lock-out" mode, likely due to air in gas line from recent meter replacement. Cleaned and checked burner and motor components, and verified furnace now working properly. We also asked for and got a ball-park estimate on replacing our 16 year-old outside AC unit when the time comes, and got some good advice on what types of units to look at, with the changes in type of Freon being used and available at reasonable prices on into the future. Will definetely be calling them back when we are ready to replace our outside unit.

AC unit was turning on and off rapidly. Checked all the usual suspects per Google searches and could not rectify. So, checked recommendations on Angies List and called Texas AirZone. Told them it wasn't an emergency since it only effected the upstairs of the house and my teenage daughter! An appointment was set up at 3PM. Isaac was here at a quarter till 3. Quickly diagnosed the problem being the unit was low on coolant. He recharged it and tested for leaks. Found none. Probably just a case of coolant depletion through 14 years of neglect. The whole visit took about 30 minutes. Very satisfied.

Mark Stevenson arrived promptly, went to work immediately after I told him what I had noticed about the AC. He explained everything in detail, asked if we wanted him to add freon, told us the price, then got everything taken care of. He also explained about a different valve that would work better on our AC, but didn't try to pressure us into getting it. He was very personable and polite, knew his job, put on booties to protect the carpet and didn't waste time. I will definitely call them again. Considering the cost of things these days, I thought they were very reasonable.
Description of Work: Completely checked out our AC system and found a small leak where a valve wasn't tight enough and had let our freon slowly leak out over two years. Evidently the original installer was not as thorough since the entire heat and AC system was only 2 years old.

AC went out early Sunday morning. Sundays they are closed, but called their emergency service line (Price was high due to the $120 emergency charge). Was able to schedule an appointment 2 hours after I called. Greg came out and was great. Found the problem quickly; emergency drain line was clogged. Used high pressure CO2 to flush drain. Greg also checked fluid levels and gave tips for cleaning outside units.

One of the AC units in our house was failing, and our home warranty company assigned an HVAC company to look into the situation. The technician recharged the coolant but did not take the time to look for the cause as to why the unit was losing coolant, nor did he bother to look for anything that might need repair/replacing; it was a 20 minute, in-and-out experience. Realizing he had not taken the time to properly examine the unit, we scanned Angie's List for highly rated HVAC firms to fully service the failing unit and one that had just been replaced last fall. We contacted Air Zone's office, and they scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Isaac contacted us in advance and arrived on time. He was polite and professional, taking the time to introduce himself and explain everything he was going to do before starting the service on the two units. Once he had finished servicing the units, Isaac wrote up a very detailed invoice of the numerous items he noticed were beginning to wear on the failing unit, explained how the parts functioned, and provided a rough estimate of how much longer he thought they might still be operable before needing to be replaced. The evaporator coil was leaking, but it was covered by the home warranty, so the warranty company sent a different HVAC company to replace it. Once that was done, we scheduled with Isaac to perform the other repairs he had noted, and while doing so, he noticed and repaired a few additional, minor items the other firm had overlooked when they installed the evaporator coil, at no charge to us. Isaac is very thorough, provides answers to all our questions, and uses a fact-based approach to his presentation of information. We are very pleased with Isaac, the quality of his work, and his professionalism, and as a result we plan to use Air Zone for our regular HVAC service in the future.

I had to call out Texas AirZone because our air system was only cooling by 10 degrees. We have used them for a couple of years now and they have provided excellent and honest service. Isaac arrived on Wednesday to check out our problem, and while we had a couple of options, we decided to replace the entire system since it was 15 years old and some key repairs needed to be made. Isaac presented all our options to us, and made sure we knew that we could call him with any questions we had (at any time), and while we tweaked a few details on Thursday, we HOPED we could get the install ASAP since we were pretty hot in the house. After we'd selected our new Trane system with Isaac's assistance, Texas AirZone managed to get us scheduled on Friday a.m. From starting at 8 a.m. and finishing around 4 p.m., Isaac and Pablo ran the job wonderfully. I couldn't even count the number of people here that were specialized and doing their part of the install. In addition to the system, we had a new air return installed, which was excellent advice and work, and had a team working on each item. Floors covered neatly, professional workers, and an overall excellent experience. We have saved 50 kWh per day since our new system started running. We had an excellent experience with Texas AirZone and would recommend them.

We needed more R22 because our 1990's system has a small leak. Very professional. I asked him about getting a replacement system and he walked me through what is best vs what I want and need. He didn't focus on upselling me but instead focused on what I'm looking for and my budget. Very happy with the service. He was our here for over an hour and total labor was only $85. Very reasonable and nice man.

Greg Lecrone showed up on time on a Saturday morning. He introduced himself and his appearance was clean cut and professional. He put covers on his shoes before entering my home and asked me about my home and how well its cooling and heating in each of my rooms. I gave him my feedback, then he went into the attic to inspect my hvac. Greg was very informative and really knows A/C systems. Greg was very thorough in his inspection and just as thorough in cleaning the system and washing the outside condenser (which was really dirty). Greg found the reason why my house doesn't cool very well even though my system is fairly new and I'm expecting a quote to have those issues corrected. I hope to save a little in my electric bill too because my system won't have to work so hard to cool my house. I would recommend Texas Airzone to my friends and family without hesitation.

Everything went extremely well with my new system installation. Greg initially visited and was very thorough in evaluating options for my house. Unlike other companies that I had considered, AirZone measured my entire house for calculating heating and cooling loads. They provided options for both Trane and Carrier systems, as well as an option for repairing my old system with a new evaporator coil. Although I chose a new system, they were honest about the fact that repairing my old system was a viable option. The installation team lead by Pablo was outstanding. There were six installers and everything was very well organized and professional. You could tell they cared about doing the job well. They covered all of the flooring and furniture in the work area and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of the day. The mechanical work was very neatly done. The air handler is nicely suspended with threaded rods and steel struts beneath the unit. They installed a new air return in the master bedroom, a central media filter, and balancing dampers for each supply duct. Since the new system uses a central media filter, they replaced the existing return grills with new filter-less style grills. They even painted the duct area behind the existing returns and added additional decking in the attic. It's been about month since the installation and the new system has worked flawlessly. The performance of the new system is very impressive and it has dramatically improved the comfort level in my house. I'm very impressed with the new system and the job by AirZone. I'd definitely recommend them based on my experience.

The upstairs unit quit blowing last night. After inspection of outside condenser, we noticed ice around the coil. The upstairs unit was then shut off. We called Texas Airzone Heating and Air first thing in the morning. The staff who answered the phone was very kind and professional. The Technician Issac arrived prior to the time promised. Issac politely introduced himself as a representative of Texas Airzone. He was very friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable about air conditioning. After diagnosing our system, Issac thoroughly explained the work he performed. Other system recommendations were also explained in detail. I will recommend Texas Airzone to others and will definitely use their services again.
Description of Work: Provider repaired blower motor which had significant play in bearings. Also, the blower wheel had slid off of motor shaft causing contact friction with blower housing. This was repaired fully as it caused reduced blower speed and air volume and caused surface of evaporator to ice up. Technician pulled entire blower assembly, realigned wheel hub on motor shaft and secured with set screw, set speed trap to high, checked temp diff. (19.8'F), and placed into service.

I cannot say enough good things about this company: Hottest weekend so far this summer, and Mike shows up on a Sunday, acting like I was his first customer of the day, on a cool morning during the week! When, in fact, it was the hottest pasrt of the afternoon. I was his 7th call, and he had at least 3 more to go! My central AC stopped blowing cold air on Saturday afternoon. It was only blowing at 73 degrees. I tried everything I could to take care of it myself. But by Sunday morning, I knew I needed to call someone, and I had a pretty good idea of what was wrong. Went to Angie's List. Found Texas Air Zone. Sent an email/text for emergency service. Mike called me within 30 mins. Said he could come later, if that was ok, and he would call about 30 mins before he was headed my way. I told him to come ahead. He was there when he said he would be. He did everything he could to get the unit working properly. But finally he had to tell me what I already was pretty sure of; it was going to have to be replaced. He promised to call me Monday, after he spoke with Chris, the President. He did call. Told me what the cost would be. He said the earliest they could do it was probably Tuesday afternoon. However, he wanted to speak with Kelli, the Operations "guru", and have her call me with a definite time. Kelli called me within 15 mins, and said that the installation team could actually be there at 0900, if that was ok. Yes m'amm! Pablo, the Installation Manager, and Carl showed up on time. Went right to work. Removed the old unit and concrete pad. Installed the newer one, and new pad. They left the area looking better than when they arrived. And were gone in about an hour and forty-five mins. Mike, Chris, Kelli, Pablo, and Carl were absolutely great. Everyone was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, understanding, and punctual. I don't normally write this kind of review. I'm more of a "just the facts" kind of person. But you have no idea how impressed I was with these folks. THANKS TEXAS AIR ZONE!!! And thanks for being on Angie's List. Otherwise, I never would have found you!

Last night one of our AC units went out. The one that cools our bedroom. We slept in the guest room rather than pay a late night emergency repair fee. We called Texas Airzone first thing in the morning and Mark Stevenson was at our house, on time, as promised at 9:30 am. He quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the charges and did the repair. He then inspected more of our system and gave me some very expert information and advice on possible future improvements to our AC efficiency. Overall he was highly professional and highly knowledgable. And he gave us a 10% discount as we intend to use them for all future scheduled maintenance.

Got off on the right foot when Mike, the service technician, called to say he was running EARLY and he could be there within 15 minutes if okay. So, service began about 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Texas Air Zone posts photos of their personnel online which is a nice touch when the person you are letting into your home matches their picture! Mike explained the reason why one part needed to be replaced and even gave a discount on it. He also advised of some add-ons the prior owner had installed were not working and didn't think they were of much value. I chose not to have that "fixed". Mike's appearance was neat with a nice demeanor and was very professional. Thoroughly checked inside unit; Cleaned out all leaves and cleaned outside unit. While there was a discount on Angie's List, unfortunately it was not applicable for the 2x annual maintenance program. All in all, a very positive experience. Texas Air Zone has my future HVAC business.

Their technician Mike was pretty fast in tracing down the problem. He had to pull the outside unit apart until he could locate wires that were shorting together. I have used Texas Airzone several times before and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Repaired wiring to outside compressor unit.

they were fantastic. i knew my AC had a few issues being that its older...took longer than normal to cool...but it worked. i had to work so my mom was here for the actual appt. Issac was the tech; came on time and was very nice and professional, had a very detailed conversation with my mom...answering ALL of her questions. gave his opinion and his number for me to call when i got home. as luck would have it...house was 80 degrees when i got home. I called...he went over what he saw and told me what he thought problem was...broken coil leaking freon so freon needed to be added most likely...and he was correct; greg, the on call tech, was here in no time! they both were beyond patient...explaining what was wrong and WHY... everything with them is about customer service and it shows. advice (from both) was 100% about what was in my best interest...million miles away from a "sales call". charge me for the cost of the freon and he was on his way. I would recommend them to anyone who asked and will definitely use them moving forward
Description of Work: AC assesment/second opinion. after hours call same day
