Out of about 15 dingbats that I had here who don't do a good job or they lie to me and they are all non-Angie's List, and they are just freelance, he did very good lawn care. Also I wanted the edging to be done where the grass comes to the concrete and most of these people use a regular string edger which is not good. He uses a metal edger which I asked if he had one and he used that and it was perfect. I am very surprised I couldn't find a good one and I just saw his card but I don't know how I got it.

I called Mr. Terrazas needing to have my late father's lawn mowed. He gave me the estimate within 3 hours and mowed the next day. He is a total professional. My husband and I met him at a specified time at my dad's house. His crew had already done the work and did an excellent job. We have contracted with him to mow the yard every other week and he will bill us for that work. His rates are excellent. This was a pleasant and satisfying experience and made our membership in Angie's list well worthwhile.

The crew came a little late but since they may have had to pick members of it up, I let it go by. The crew worked pretty well until mdiday when they all left. They returned about 1.5 hours later and went back to work. Terraza came by to check on the crew's progress. It looked as if they were doing a good jopb. When the flower bed weeding was "done", I went back to check and there were many volunteer trees still in place. A large tree root that I had specifically asked to be taken out was left, many weeds were not dug out as I had expressly asked. I have had crews just pull the heads of the weeds off and mulch over; to me this is cheating so I very specifically said I wanted all large weeds with taproots, i.e.dandelions, etc. to ber DUG out of the ground. This was not done. They did do a good job on the vines in the tree but it took two days for them to get it right. Lawn refuse was placed on my grass so I asked that it be moved to the sidewalk where it would not harm my grass. This was done but much in the way of sticks, branches and leaves were left -a mess. These guys were not careful where they walked and smashed my miniature low-growing junipers, violets in BLOOM! and other flowers. I told Terraza to tell them to be more careful..he did but they still trampled everything. When they wen't to mow the backyard, the were not careful and cut down a small FIG TREE that I assume, they thought was a plant. The tree was even DUG OUT leaving a hold for which I had to go and UBY a replacement tree. They did not mow along the back side of my east fence leaving many weeds very high. Before leaving and AFTER paying them, they ask me when they were to come again. I said April 16th the "week after next". They also asked what time and I said early morning. That was that. Well today is the 16th and no one was here by 10:00AM. Called Terraza's cell phone but he didn't asnwer so I left a message relating the problem and for him to call me back. He didn't by 11:30AM so I called again. This time Terraza answered and I asked him what was going on? He said the crew would be at my house around 1-130PM. I said that wasn't the deal-they were to be here early morning and had even asked me when I wanted them here and I expected them as it was predicted to rain. I took them at their word. But, once again, I was "trick-f*****d by a yard company. The conversation ended by my saying that since the crew had not been on time, that I believed that I needed to find another company that was true to it's word. Terraza very arrogantly said, "Well, you can get someone else" I said"Thank you" I will. We are a Latino family so I feel very justified in saying that we try to hire Hispanic companies. Having been disappointed three times in a row by same, it will be a cold day in you-know-where I'm not so sure that I can do this again with a whole heart. It's too bad but I may start asking for "green cards" before I let any more "fly-by-night" yard crews do any more work for m

I found Terraza's very pleasant and knowledgeable in their work. They show up on time and I am very comfortable with them. They are some I would definitely recommend to others.

We switched to Terrazas when our last yard maintenance company tried to sneak in an unannounced price hike without warning, and we have never regretted it. They are reliable, reasonably priced, and do good work week to week. We also use his service for quarterly cleanouts and bush trimming to keep things looking neat. We used to use an off-duty fireman who charged us 3 times more and didn't do as good a job. Terrazas is VERY reasonably priced and they do excellent work.
