The timeline regarding this situation is outlined below: 5-3-2013 - Fri - My husband met with Chris Pilkinton (dob 6/6/1978) around 5:30 p.m. so Chris could provide a written estimate and take measurements. Chris Pilkinton wrote a proposal and told my husband he needed half of the money upfront ($611.50). BIG MISTAKE! He said he would purchase the gate frame materials on Monday, May 6, 2013 and get them to his welder so the welder could get started on the gate frame. My husband asked Chris to confirm this on Monday. 5-6-2013 - Mon - No call was received from Chris Pilkinton 5-7-2013 Tues - My husband called him and left a message and asked Chris to call him on Wednesday and let him know something. 5-8-2013 - Wed - No call received from Chris Pilkinton 5-9-2013 - Thurs - My husband called him at 11:52 a.m.; received a return call from Chris Pilkinton @ 4:45 p.m. (he did not get materials to welder on Monday, May 6th as promised) he now says he will work with welder on Monday (5-13) and let us know on Monday May 13th. 5-13-2013 - Mon - No call - my husband called him twice 5-14-2013 - Tues - My husband called and received a return call at 1:01 p.m. My husband asked him if he worked on the gate. He told my husband it was ready. My husband asked if he could set the gate posts on Saturday, May 18th - he said he could not because he had his kids on Saturday but he would definitely set the posts on Monday, May 20th and finish gate on May 23rd. 5-17-2013 - Fri - My husband called him to confirm the posts will be set on Monday, May 20th - no return call from Chris P. 5-20-2013 - Mon - My husband arranged with his boss to work from home - Chris did not show up as promised - my husband called him three times @ 8:58 a.m., 9:48 a.m. and 2:55 p.m. 5-20-2013 - Mon - Chris returned call at 3:42 p.m. - said his blood sugar was low but he would be feeling better in the morning and would be there on Tuesday, 5-21-2013 to set the gate posts 5-21-2013 - Tues - My husband, once again, arranged to work from home. Chris did not show up again. My husband called him at 10:41 a.m. - Chris returned the call at 5:00 p.m. and said he had to go to the hospital due to his diabetes. At this point, my husband told him this is not working out. My husband explained that he had cashed our check on May 3rd and made many promises that he did not keep and he only called my husband when my husband called him. He became very upset with my husband and screamed "You're firing me"! My husband told him to return our money and if he had purchased items for the gate to send the receipts to us and tell us where to pick up the items. Chris said he would put a check in the mail. He hung up on my husband and then called back again and was very upset and hung up on my husband again. We really don't think he had any intention of building a gate. 5-24-2013 - Fri - My husband called and left message asking where to pick up the items for the gate (although at this point we don't really believe they were ever purchased). 5-28-2013 - Tues - 5:25 p.m. my husband called Chris and left a voice mail 5-29-2013 - Wed - 5:23 p.m. my husband tried to call - Chris Pilkinton's voice mail was full 5-30-2013 - Thurs- 1:11 p.m. - my husband called and Chris Pilkinton's voice mail was full 5-31-2013 - Fri - 5:36 p.m. - my husband left him a voice mail We have recieved no further calls from Chris Pilkinton, we have no gate and we are out $611.50! Greensheet Advertising intervened and contacted him several times with no return calls. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PERSON!
