Sundrop Gardens Landscaping

Supposed to have a sprinkler tuneup. They never contacted me.

Great! Guys arrived on time and got to work immediately. Within two hours, there were 22 bags of leaves ready for recycle. All the beds are neat and tidy. They even trimmed the fruit vines, thorns and all. All within the agreed time frame. Neighbors are asking for their phone number!

It worked out fine. I had to be delayed in getting the product but there's a lot going on this area so it wasn't really their fault. I can't argue with the price at all. Once they got the material, they were very responsive. They came out when they said they would once they did get a hold of the product.

It turned out fine eventually. We had to fight down to deliver the sod for months. We had to gave a resolution to the department to work on it and everything else. It ended up fine, but it was just a fight to get it done. About two months ago it finally went in, but we had purchased it about two months ago like in February. We told them to wait until spring not until the winter storm and after that they refused to answer us and everything else. The price was excellent. Responsiveness is zero. They could improve services by responding to emails, responding to anything. I mean they took our money, didn't deliver anything and stopped answering us.

It went great. The backyard looks 100% better. I got a few quotes before I picked them and they were very reasonable. I liked that it wasn't an hourly rate and they got it done in a few hours.

i reached out to Sundrop for yard work (likely planting grass in front and cleanup/landscape in the back). They responded to my initial June 5 email on June 7, and I responded with my availability. I have not heard from then since (today is June 25th).

I was very pleased with the crew. They were here on time. There were about 4 guys who tilled and then laid out 400 sq. ft. of sod. They also made sure that everything was cleaned up after they finished.

This company will take your money and run, they will do a poor job, not complete it, will not respond to your calls/texts/emails and simply keep your money for an unfinished job. Avoid them completely. Manny was supposed to re-sodd a part of the front yard and some part of the side yard and put decomposed granite (DG) in the side yard. Arrived late on the very first day. Had to call him twice to check. DG was not installed properly, was loose and not compacted. The slope/level of DG was not done correctly, as a result water would not flow towards the catch basins. The contractor came back later the second week, could not get any labor along with him and tried to fix the issues with the DG himself and in the bargain removed and redistributed a lot of the DG incorrectly. Promised to come back and compact it which he never did. Re-Sodding was done very unprofessionally, lack of expertise was evident. Contractor spent very less effort nd time in leveling the soil before installing the sodd. As a result, I have high and low areas. Broke my sprinkler and drip irrigation pipes and would not come back to repair it. Lay sod over the irrigation boxes & sprinkler heads and did not care about it. Level of Sod was higher than the edging, when pointed out, Manny compacted it harder and as a result, the ground became harder and sod did not grow in a few areas where he did this. The soil that he brought was of low quality, had too much wood/mulch in it and damaged other parts of the lawn where he was paid to level the soil. His people threw clay soil (removed before sodding) and stones all over my raised bed of shrubs. When this was pointed out, Manny agreed to fix it but unfortunately hid most of this trash behind the big shrubs which I found out later. Sundrop Gardens did an excellent job. Grass sod was fresh. They tiller the area before putting down the sod and then rolled the new grass. I will recommend them in the future.

Manny set the appointment by phone and showed up on Thursday as planned. He brought a large crew. Each man went right to work on their part of the job. Manny was here the whole time to oversee and we walked the yard and measured additional spots that needed sod. They were done within two hours. The site was left clean. Everyone was polite and very efficient. Manny gave me a bid for the additional sod work and he will be back this week.

All 4 of them arrived on time and began working immediately. A lot of Mondo grass was dug up and replaced with Monkey grass. New bushes were planted in several different areas. Mulch was spread in several beds. They followed directions well and did a very good job.

It went great, I got a call one morning that the crew was coming, they came on time, installed a pallet of sod in the rain, and were out in no time. I'm writing this review almost a year later and the sod is looking great, it is evenly installed, no sinks/depressions, still very healthy. I'd use this provider again.

Manny called promptly upon receiving the notice of Deal purchased for sod. Appointment set to survey the jobsite. Manny was punctual and very personable while determining the needed repairs. Made suggestions regarding sprinklers and filling of beds. My wife and I were very pleased with the estimate and scheduled all repairs for Jan. 25. Crew arrived around noon and began work, completed work by 3:30. Manny adjusted the estimate to the actual time spent doing the additional work, as the sod install was already purchased. The cost for the extras were actually less than the estimate; I know, that never happens, right. Sundrop Gardens team is does an excellent job at a fair and reasonable price and I recommend them to anyone needing the type of services they provide. I am very pleased with the result.

I am very pleased with the performance and service. The lawn and edging were done every week on time. The leaves were always removed and bagged. My yard, steps and sidewalk were always very clean. They provide multiple services. Manny is diligent about making sure you are pleased with the service. I will hire again.

Manny and his guys were very nice and hard working. Manny helped me out with a few ideas when I wasn't certain of where plants I purchashed should be placed. His experience led to an fabulous layout in my yard. Very happy. Great price through Angie's list. Would hire again.

Manny and his crew did a fantastic job and my front landscape looks better than ever. The biggest need I had was cleaning up the beds, removing weeds, and getting things ready for winter. They removed the weeds and grass by the roots and put down weed repellent to prevent them from coming back. Also added mulch at a lower cost than I expected. All the bushes were trimmed and now look very manicured. I was impressed with Manny's professionalism, friendliness and pricing. I will definitely use them again.

I hired them for a specific number of hours but the work was more than they could accomplish within that time so I paid them another 200 dollars to finish what they were doing. They just left the limbs and everything out there and I ended up taking it myself to the dump. There are very specific guidelines on how your curbside brush pickup has to be and they just threw all the limbs out there in a suck and told us not to worry, that they'd take it but they didn't. What they did looked good. They showed up when they said they were going to.

My wife and I just had our second child last Winter and were needing some assistance with other chores. We are renters and were not looking major landscaping work-- just consistent work that did not result in us having to buy several new sprinkler heads (as experienced by our previous lawn care provider). We learned of Sundrop Gardens from a promotion on another site. We crossed referenced the business with AngiesList.com and were comfortable with our choice. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the owner from our first meeting and especially after our first round of lawn care maintenance. For anyone who has taken advantage of discounts from promotional sites-- you can attest that the services rendered after disclosing your coupon can be less than pleasant. I am VERY happy to proclaim that this WAS NOT the case with Sundrop Gardens. The service and experience was the same during our promotional period and continued through the end of the season. Throughout our months of service from Sundrop Gardens, the owner was very responsive to email communication and kept us updated when scheduled maintenance would need to be adjusted. Sundrop Gardens did not miss a single day that we expected them to service our yard. We look forward to utilizing the services of Sundrop Gardens in the future-- and referring Sundrop to our friends and neighbors as well.

I am very pleased with the work Sundrop Gardens did! Manny and two other guys came. They pruned shrubs, removed weeds from beds, and applied 15 bags of mulch that I had purchased. I also had purchased 5 shrubs and they helped me decide where they should be placed and they planted them. They also cleaned up all the debris and placed into bags and loaded into my truck so that I could just haul it to the dump. Next they mowed and edged the yard and applied winter fertilizer that I had purchased. They also buried a pipe that was hooked up to the gutters. Manny and the crew were great to work with and I highly recommend them!

Manny came out and gave me a quote. I used an Angie's List Deal for some of the sod but needed to pay more per sq ft for the remaining sod. His crew came out within two weeks and laid the sod. I am new to TX so it was surprising to me that some of the sod did not look too great for awhile - brown around the edges despite a lot of watering. The spring rains helped a lot. I think it was just TX sod varieties compared to where I came from because eventually all but one piece grew in and got green (I meant to call about the one piece that seemed dead from the start). The sod, but for the one piece, looks healthy and much better than what was there before, even after summer heat.

We used an Angie's List coupon and they did a fantastic job. They were very good about communicating via text and email. After receiving an email confirming the purchase, they texted me to see what we wanted done. We had a discussion about how to handle an invasive plant that was taking over much of our landscaping and eventually determined it would be more cost effective for us to poison the plant instead of having them pull it up all because that would have taken all of their time and we needed more work done. I really appreciated that! Unfortunately, on the day that they agreed to come out, it started POURING down rain right after they got to our house. They promised to come back and finish the job before Saturday when we were having a big dinner/swim party. And you know what? THEY DID!!!! They came back, did a very nice, professional job and we couldn't be happier. We highly recommend them!
