We template using the LT-55 laser. The LT-55 is fast and accurate on new construction, and for remodels it gives us the ability to template jobs without tearing out the old countertops. Our jobs are cut using the best CNC Saw/Waterjet in the industry. Countertops are then finished with the USA made CNC Edge Polisher for the straightest edges available and a magnificent shine. During the installation, our installers utilize a variety of tools used for cabinetry, granite, tile, electrical, and plumbing. The right tools make our installs easy, fast, and clean, leaving behind a high quality product.
Services we offer
StoneTex cuts, fabricates, and installs Granite, Marble, quartz, or any other Natural Stone and Tile.
Services we don't offer
We do not install Cultured Marble, Concrete, Formica or Tile Countertops.
Jason did a great job of measuring (twice and once with a laser device) with excellent layout of the patterns / back-splash. Installation people were very careful and did a great job also.

My initial contact was Jose, assumably the owner. But my telephone and face-to-face contact was Jason. He invited us to the warehouse to take a look at the marble he had in stock. We did. He said he would call us back the next day with an estimate. I am not sure if we got our signals crossed or if he forgot, but after several days I ended up sending him an e-mail to ask him if he was still interested in doing our countertops. He called us back right away. It may simply have been a miscommunication, but there was at one point an apparent slow responsiveness. Anyway, we decided to give him a chance because he told us that he had just received a new delivery of carrara marble slabs and he invited us to come over to take a look. He was not lying, the slabs were gorgeous and we picked one. He quoted us $2,900 for labor and materials, which included about 60 sqft of marble, installation, sink and faucet cutouts. He sold us the square footage we needed, whereas a surplus store could only sell us entire slabs. Let me explain: since a slab is about 50 sqft and we needed 60sqft, the surplus store wanted to sell us 2 full slabs. What the heck was I supposed to do with the 40 sqft of surplus? The quote from the surplus store was around $4700 for the two slabs and the install. After running an errand at Home Depot, we got an estimate after almost accidentally stumbling upon some carrara marble that we liked. The Home Depot estimate was about $3,800 or almost $1,000 less than the surplus store. I then decided to contact several vendors on Angie's List and requested an estimate for our kitchen remodel project. We decided to visit StoneTex LLC first, because the initial rough estimate was between $800 and $2,400 cheaper than all the other vendors. The crew designated to do the installation showed up on schedule. It took them about two hours, maybe a little longer to complete the job. It was obvious that this wasn't their first rodeo. They worked efficiently and did not leave a mess behind. The installation including the cutouts was flawless. Our countertops are beautiful and cost us less than every other vendor we consulted. We're really happy with how it turned out.

Craig worked closely with StoneTex for all phases of the countertops. Because I was using the same color granite, the process was considerably shortened. Once the cabinets were installed, Pio from StoneTex came to take the measurements for the countertops. The Ogee edge I chose takes a little more time to create than a standard edge, but they were still able to make a fairly quick turnaround for installation. The StoneTex crew made sure all the cabinet tops were level before beginning installation of the countertops. While the openings for the sinks were precut when they arrived, they cut openings for the sink faucets on site before bringing the countertops inside. Once the countertops were installed, they installed the granite backsplashes, cutting the backsplashes to size on site, and then they installed the porcelain sinks (included in the price of the granite). In addition to the countertops, StoneTex made granite window sills for the windows in two of the bathrooms; the third bathroom doesn’t have a window. They used epoxy to adhere the sink to the counter and the countertops to the cabinets. After the counters were done, they clear caulked all seams and applied sealant to the granite for protection in addition to telling me how to take care of it. I think this granite is even prettier than the kitchen granite, even though they’re the same color. StoneTex worked quickly and did an excellent job of cleanup. … For better photos of the cabinets, see the review on Walden Cabinets. The photos here were taken to best show off the countertops.
Description of Work: The remodel of my two and a half bathrooms took place in the latter half of 2013. The remodel involved custom cabinets, granite countertops with porcelain sinks, granite backsplashes and window ledges, tile shower and tub enclosures, installation of new tubs and sink faucets, a frameless shower door, and some reworking of existing plumbing. Four companies were involved in my bathroom remodel: Hamilton Interior Finishes, Walden Cabinets, Carl’s Pane in the Glass, and StoneTex. Craig Hamilton of Hamilton Interior Finishes was general contractor for the job. The total cost of the remodel was $20,000, including cabinets, tile, and new fixtures. I am reviewing the other three companies under their own names, but I was extremely pleased with all involved. StoneTex installed the granite countertops and porcelain sinks for my bathroom remodel.

Stonetex fabricated and installed granite for us this summer and did a marvelous job! We met to pick out our stone at their facilities. Martin was very helpful and answered all of our questions, explaining in detail the process they would use to measure, fabricate, and install our countertops. Within days, Pio from Stonetex was at our home, using a laser to measure our countertops to prepare the templates for a perfect fit. Stonetex arranged the templates on our granite to maximize the beauty of the stone, keeping the detail and flow. Within two weeks, our new countertops were installed with seams so tight and perfect that it is difficult to see them. The equipment and technique they used to pull the seams tight is amazing. The men who performed the work were extremely efficient and professional. They performed all work with a minimum of dust and disruption. If you are looking for a beautiful job, at a fair and reasonable price, call them. I know we will when we get ready to remodel our bathroom vanities! We are happy to give them referrals! Thank you Stonetex!

Craig Hamilton of Hamilton Interiors was general contractor for the countertops, working closely with StoneTex. After the cabinets were installed, Craig suggested places where I could shop for granite. Once I had the granite selected, StoneTex worked with Craig to prepare a bid. Upon my approval of the bid, Martin and the measurement crew from StoneTex came to make the laser measurements. That was a fascinating process! They said it used to take them all day (or longer) to make the templates using paper products, and now they take the measurements with the laser equipment in nothing flat and feed the data into a machine which makes the templates. The crew is very knowledgeable. I believe it was a week or so later that they came back to install the countertops. They made sure all the cabinet tops were level before bringing the countertops in. The longest contiguous stretch of counter forms a short, wide, squared J (or a square U with one short side). To minimize the number of seams, the counter for this section is made in two pieces, with the joint in the middle of the sink. The joint is so well done you can hardly see it without close examination. The other two counter surfaces required no special treatment. In addition to the countertops, StoneTex made a granite window sill for the window above the sink, and they made a granite cutting board and two paper weights. StoneTex also provided and installed the under counter stainless steel sink. They used epoxy to adhere the sink to the counter and the countertops to the cabinets. After the counters were done, they applied sealant to the granite and told me how to take care of it. StoneTex worked quickly and did an excellent job of cleanup.
Description of Work: I’m woefully behind in reviewing several companies that have done excellent work for me during my kitchen remodel in Dec 2011/Jan 2012. The kitchen remodel involved custom cabinets, granite countertops, LED under counter lighting, tile backsplash, small repairs, and installation of a new range hood, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. Five companies were involved in bringing my dream kitchen to life: Hamilton Interior Finishes, Walden Cabinets, StoneTex, Rockwall Lighting, and Hamilton Electric. Craig Hamilton of Hamilton Interior Finishes was general contractor for the job. StoneTex handled the shaping, finishing, and installation of my granite countertops. I am reviewing the other four companies under their own names, but I was extremely pleased with all involved!
